Bluetooth tethering is a manual setting feature, you have to enable it anytime you want to use it and it will be disconnected often, including rebooting the device or disabling bluetooth.
Forget enabling bluetooth tethering on your mobile phone anymore, with this application you just have to specify which devices will be allowed to use it and automatically every time they get connected to your mobile phone, bluetooth tethering is enabled and disabled when disconnected.
I developed this application initially thinking about my car, whenever I needed to use the internet connection, tethering was disabled in the phone and could not activate it while driving.
This app can be used for activating bluetooth tethering with any other devices, not just cars, including tablets and other mobile phones, just use it if you need to activate bluetooth tethering everytime you want to use it.

Checked quite a few apps, some worked but a bit flakey. This one works every time (Volvo and Huawei P9). Note that the 'Tether' isn't instant and can take 15-20 seconds to toggle but that's fine. Nice job!

What a simple yet effective app. Have tomtom, annoying it can't auto connect to Internet each time. This app solves that, never need to do anything just switch on tomtom and connected. Thanks for developing!

It does work for me but only after launching the app every time after enabling Bluetooth. So no advantage over another widget that does the same.

Just connected to my Mercedes c class. No fuss or bother. If it means to go on as it's started then I'll be well over the moon. The merc BT was absolutely useless . Thank you for this app.

Means I don't have to go into BT settings each time is use data with Mercedes Comand. Enables BT tethering as soon as BT toggled on.

It works well on Marshmallow (Android 6 on my Nexus 6P), I'm not sure how it would work if I didn't have my hands free kit but I have set it so that if that connects it will set up bluetooth tethering for my TomTom internet connection. It should have a start BT tethering at boot or when BT enabled (which is really all I need).

My car's Bluetooth supports no internet tethering at all, it only supports Bluetooth media and phone call. So I only plan to use this app for keeping my phone-to-car Bluetooth media on. But this app seems not helpful at all.

Great app ... TomTom 610 to LG G5. My TomTom live traffic feature depends on tethering. The number of times I'd get in the car and set off and then have to stop again as TomTom would not be getting traffic downloads despite being Bluetooth connected were very high. This fixed that problem. Should be a standard feature of android. Oddly it is on Microsoft phones. Very useful. Well done. Thank you.
