Power Search

Kudos to Creator! Igoogle didn't find my event on Google calendar But Power Search found it! Awesome program.

This truly is a "powerful" search app! It only searches a couple of the basics, but where it really shines, is in picking up the slack! I.e., it picks up where all the others leave off! For example, it pulled up my next doctor's appt for me, from my calendar. That's just plain cool! :-) It can search multiple email accts, calndrs, docs, texts, contacts, tweets (&fb?), music, etc, etc. I'll never own a device ever again and not have this app on it! This will be in my "New Device Setup Apps List"! :-)

Since Goggle and Somesung INTENTIONALLY don't have a phone wide only search function (where is that middle finger emoji when I need one) this unique app (try to find another one) is an absolute must. Still useful as of Android 6.0.1

In many ways nothing beats the old Palm Pilot. It was fast simple, and the global search was better than anything Android or iOs can offer. Power Search changes that. It's just like the Palm search, and it's fantastic for people with poor memories who use a phone as a second brain.

Beats Searchify; SLAMS Google Search! Nice dropdown! I'd give 5 * if could make it seachable app in Droid settings, like searchify. :)

i could never search my android calendar successfully; it would hang forever. installed this simple/small app, finds all my calendar info (and anything else) in less than 3 seconds. great job, highly recommended.

Found the results I was looking for, but it was rather slow. Got faster results using Aurora Universal Search

Must have been modeled after the Palm global search; it looks and acts a lot like it. I really missed this till now! Shame on Android - you would expect this to be already built in. Two improvement suggestions: 1) Search within Astrid notes, not just the titles, and 2) When searching through SD card files, have option to open files with the default app for file type, instead of the Power Search viewer. I have a lot of Word documents that I open with Doc 2 Go, and they don't display well in the viewer.

This app has been several minutes now searching my phone for a word that I know is in the Calendar. But it's still searching... no response. Doesn't it create a data index, like Aurora? It should. Once it does, I'll try it again and hopefully see some results.

I use it a lot, but I wish it would perform loose name searches throughout the phone call log.

One thing Google Calendar is lacking is search inside the calendar. It's solved here. Great job.

Great way to search for & find things like calendar events, especially since Google didn't provide a native search function for that on the phone.

If there were six stars I would give it. By far the best and most essential app ever. This has savd my life. Amazing that Google has no global search

It does search fine but when choosing selections provided it does not take you to the correct selection. Not good.

I used the app a lot until it somehow lost the ability to open the correct contact from the search results. The search finds the contact I am looking for, but opens up a different contact when I select any of the results. Reinstalling didn't help. Would have been 5 stars if not for this problem.

I gave it a 4 because I have not fully tried it & contrary to other comments, when u press on any of the results it takes u there properly. Great App!

Amazing! Five stars for searching my people/contacts (which google couldn't) BONUS for searching my calendar, astrid and everything else quickly!

Very good. Still can not believe that the big search engine Google is not able searching my contacts by company.

Not up to the mark at all. I didn't find any app or a widget which could search the SD card contents from the home screen shortcut. *But apps do that but not this who didn't even update it for around 4 years. I have ES EXPLORER which search contents of sd card in a flash!!

GREAT application and essential for anyone wanting to search the calendar. Slows way down when searching music though

It's excellent in every respect except it will not find most of my repeat appointments. I'm not sure where the problem lies but these are meetings that I have once a month and are set as repeats. It only manages to locate a fraction of them.

Latest update fixed the Froyo problem. Works great on my Moto Droid.

At last, a search app that works. Anyone annoyed that searches within google calendar don't show all entries will be glad of this. Shame on google got not having their own search software working like this!

Very good. Application with superb features which should have been part of default Android actually. HOWEVER it is crashing my fabulous Galaxy S2.

Very comprehensive search tool, but does NOT search further back than the 2 months of calendar cached in the phone.

Calendar search is now working again (after 2.2 Droid update.) Best search tool that I have.

Great app. Have been missing a global search since upg from Palm Treo. This does it.

Works as stated. Found Calendar items unlike Searchify app. 4-stars for now; haven't tried other functions yet. VZW Moto Droid 2 Global.

They is a must have search for any Android phone. I love this application. Wouldn't travel without it.

Wish it would give message that file can't be found rather than staying stuck on "please wait while searching".

Very good search, but would be better if 1. It offered a desktop search widget 2. It could search Catch Notes

Picks up searches that I do not get through stock contact search or messaging. Categorizes searches intuitively. Pretty much exceed my expectations - will form my default search app. Very impressed. No need for wildcards as this is automatic i.e. input mati and it will return automatic as one of the results under contacts, files and messages. Bonus search for files and file extensions. So you basically get file, contact, sms and web. Very weak on app search - typed Whatsapp and Whats and in both cases received no results. However, app search is not what i downloaded this tool for so i am still very impressed with it.

Comprehensively tagged contacts imported from other programs Were worthless to me until this app allows me to search notes, etc.

I have been looking for something like this ever since I have been using Android phones. I have slowly realised that Google search is useless when it comes to searching your phone. Power search finds matches in both my contacts memo field and my diary - plus just about everywhere else. Well done!

Fast search app. I like the fact that you can search certain apps and not your whole phone.

lacks one feature...u cnt go to the searched file just by clicking in search window...

Perfect, quite fast compared to the search on htc desire hd. It was taking forever to load calendar entries.
