Honda Celebration of Light

Didn't play the music so half my trip was wasted. lost 5 minutes of the show trying to figure it out and ended with nothing to show for it. I wish I could kill the devs.

Music never came on during the show. Absolutely pointless, ruined the show for our entire group.

Said an option to play the music would come on but it never did. I tried closing and reopening throughout the show but nothing. No clue under what menu to look either. Could only listen via radio stations app but that is delayed about 20 sec so everything out of sync.

Nothing about transit, parking, or anything but what band is playing where and where food is. WHAT Are the red areas on the app's map?

No music, just a pile of links and annoying notifications.

Poor quality. Hard to find what you're looking for. Mostly ads.

Slow and the experience is poor that I can't listen to the music

Didn't have an option to listen to the music. That's the only reason I downloaded the app for.

No link to music.

Still has only a link to a live stream radio station for the music. This can fail for a huge number of reasons (tourists with no Canadian data, overloaded cell towers, buffering leading to terrible sync, etc.) To top that, the live stream radio link won't even play at all in my browser.

App supposed to show me an option to play soundtrack during firework but it didn't. I tried radio stream link but that was playing some sort of country song. It took me 10 minutes to realize I should give up.

Thought I'd be safe without an actual radio, downloaded the app, brought Bluetooth speakers. When it was time for fireworks, started trying to connect to it 30 mins before it started... I never got connected. I would get spurts of it and sounded like a broken record. The developers obviously didn't factor in that because so many people are in that area, cell network use is particularly high, so data is extremely slow....basically I watched the fireworks with no music....uninstalled immediately

What is the point of the app when you have to stream the music live which keeps failing because the network is overloaded with everyone else trying to do the same thing.

No point to this app if you can't pre download the music that goes along to the fireworks display.

Step 1) Read your 2013 reviews. Step 2) do what they liked (music in the app) 3) add this before Sunday.

Not for the better... It now directs you to a live stream that doesn't seem to work on mobile, but even if it did this would remove the ability to sync the music to the fireworks. Last years version was much better with the music predownloaded. I'm not sure why this app even exists now, if all it does is point to websites.

2015 version doesn't play the fireworks soundtrack, they expect you to stream it from the radio station's website. Good luck doing that with thousands of other people on the same beach. Bad choice.

In 2014 the Honda Celebration of Light app had the music locally stored within the app. This year, they removed that feature. The music is now only available over live stream on the internet, or radio. To those of us with data that doesn't sound too bad, right? Wrong. Either Bell (which claims to be the fastest mobile network in Canada) or the live stream did not have the bandwidth to provide the music without buffering during the show, and even when it finished buffering the music quality was awful. The music was effectively unavailable to those who didn't bring an FM radio. I am extremely disappointed that this app is a huge step down from the one provided in 2014, there is no point to having this app as it does nothing but provide a link to the broken music live stream.

What is the point of this useless app if the only thing it's good for is a link to a website for the radio that plays the music? You took something that wasn't broken last year and ruined it.

I download the app to leason to firework music same as last year. but it has a link to a radio chanel that doesn't work.

I went to the China show and couldn't listen to the music because this app only has a link to the radio station Web page where you can stream it live. Hundreds of people are trying to do this at the same time and it doesn't work. You are better off downloading the radios app to stream. that worked sort of ok.

The notification ads are not appreciated. If I want to know about Honda, I will go and find out about Honda

The audio was very hard to hear even when the booms of the fireworks didn't block it out. But it played the music without a data connection so that was good.

Poor implementation of some good ideas.

Too bad it needs an active internet connection which can be hard to get on a crowded beach with lots of folks stressing out all the networks so no-one is able to connect :(

For an app that simply has to stream some audio and count down to an event, it doesn't do a decent job of either. Just watched the celebration of light fireworks and the audio was out of sync by over 30 seconds, the audio quality was terrible. I mean you couldn't understand lyrics bad. Seriously, I'll consider hauling a radio with me to listen to fm instead next time.

Very cool that the app used a local copy of the music. At the event due to congestion, I lost my data signal. Music kept going. Happily surprised! Nice work!

Great, fixed bugs, more synchronize on live music player! 5 star for all this improvements

Not much on it but the reminders were good and the music played perfectly in sync.

Missing.

Thanks for providing this app for the events this year. It's was really useful that it works offline. The venues are packed and the cell traffic would be busy. I did find the audio quality a little low, but way better than nothing!

Works perfectly, good info, great that you can adjust the music up or down two seconds for proper sync.
