Shine - Fertility Tracker

This app is visually appealing, provides little facts daily, and would be helpful tracking information. However, once a month, it crashes to the point the app will no longer open and all data is lost. I liked the app enough to keep using it after this happened twice... but I just lost all of my data for a third time and will look for a new app rather than starting over (again) with this.

I bought a new phone and logged onto the app. None of my info was saved in my account. I had 9 months worth of important cycle tracking information lost! It then crashed on my old phone and I have nothing. So terribly frustrating.

Pathetic app. I have been saving my data for more than a month suddenly app crashed and now when I logged in all the prior data is lost. I am trying to conceive now all gone in vain. Stupid app you better retrieve my data. You guys have no clue how important it is for me.

At first it was great. The charts were aesthetically pleasing and I liked how it would tell you the fertile period. But then, it kept crashing. I figured I could uninstall then reinstall it would work the bugs out. Well, I did that but none of my data saved. I had used it for a full week and the data wasn't saved elsewhere so I feel like my time and efforts are lost. It also won't let you log data from previous cycles. Very disappointing - going back to the "Flo" app.

It just dosent work. I put in the wrong information and tried for an hour to edit the information until I gave up. Wish I could figure out how to deactivate the whole account.

Works great throughout the month but about 2 days before my next period it crashes and requires me to uninstall and reinstall the app. After reinstalling, the previous months are lost so it is horrible to use as a tracker for long term.

Disappointed in this app... Loved the design of it but now it crashes all the time. I removed it and installed it again, it didn't save my months worth of records and won't even open anymore. The Bump shouldn't endorse an app that you can't even open and ur doesn't have a good backup system! It's a shame all my details are gone now!

This app was working okay until I had to get a new phone. On my new phone I logged into the app and my personal info showed up (profile name, ttc status, etc) but NONE of the data I have been logging for 3 fricking months showed up ... NONE AT ALL!!!!!!!! What is the point in spending the time and effort logging info, if it is not stored in the app. I will NOT be using this app in the future.

It stopped working on me twice. When it was working i liked it. Really need to fix that problem

I really like the app, but needs some updates. Ovulation testing should trump other data. Also, it says fertile window is one week after period, default should be day 14 of cycle.

It doesn't let you enter but if you are trying to avoid pregnancy and that is one of the main things I track.

I liked this app for about 3 weeks. And then it crashed, and I lost everything.

Does not store data if you log out. Overall frustrating experience.

Loved it for the entire month of tracking daily. Then when something happens that I needed to track it..BOOM! ...no longer Frikken works! All that data...gone...forever. It really p!$$es me off, frankly.

App can be rrally great, but it crashesmore than it works, so I have to uninstall it now as it doesn't come right now, at all.

Really boring app. There are WAY better apps. I was excited to try but deleted less than 5 minutes after install. Sorry guys.

Love this app! Awesome for just tracking your cycle or for tracking ovulation when trying to conceive. I'm 7 months pregnant so it worked for me!

Installed the app and used it for a little bit, but now it keeps crashing and won't open. I have now uninstalled it. Screw that.

Crashed within 15 minutes of downloading to the point where the app won't even open anymore.

The easiest way for someone to get pregnant while trying to avoid pregnancy is by not tracking enough information. Make sure you are set to "pregnancy achievement" in "settings" to track bbt and cm if you really want to have an accurate picture of when you ovulate. Your period and cycle length isn't enough info to tell you when NOT to have sex to avoid pregnancy. Fertility Friend or Kindara are way better.

Visually, the app is wonderful. However, there are so many bugs, that mine has crashed to the point where it can no longer open. If I uninstall and reinstall the app, all the data is lost because this is not account based. I've yet to get through 4 weeks without the app crashing and losing all if my data, making it useless for tracking anything.

If you have a perfect clockwork 28 day cycle, great news! This app's for you, and only you. Otherwise you're out of luck and this app is worthless.

Just downloaded and its lovely to look at but measurement (bbt) is in Fahrenheit and no option to change to celsius...not everyone knows or uses imperial measurement. Will further update when i get to use the app a bit more.

Visually, it's perfect!

It tells you you started your period instead of you telling it when you started your period. What's the point in that? My period is not always a 30 day cycle and this app seems to know so. And change the setting after you have done initial setup. Fail. I don't recommend this app.

Feed polls are soooo interesting! And the charts are lovely!

Error. It can't connect to the internet when I try to sign up. Please make it local (optional data backup).

Would only show my fertility based on my initial cycle entered. Not everybody cycle is the same every month. App is no good for the average women.

As some other users state, you can't add a new period If you start early which throws everything off. Big fail.

It's ok until I accidentally put that I started my period thinking it wanted to know about my last one and wouldn't let me change it. So now finding out where I am in my cycle is null and void until I startmy next period and even then it's going to think my cycle is shorter than it really is.
