SAO Launcher

The general idea of it is pretty good. The actual functionality of the drop down menu isn't too bad either like for quickly sending sms and using the calculator (which I payed extra for, so I could use it without having to switch the screen), the simple things it does well. As with other reviewers there are still niggles that need to be ironed out. Such as the mms feature would be nice, not that I use it, and being able to delete or sort messages.

I truly like this launcher. Only a few things are missing from it. We need the ability to turn off the wrap-around ability when scrolling through certain things including numbers and text messages. Aside from that I'd also like to see the app be a launched from the the very beginning of turning on your phone entirely instead of us having to click on an app in order to launch the launcher. Even more so any notification should allow response such as kik. Make my phone an SAO device for 5!

I dont know if it just because i have the free version, but there are some bugs that can be worked out. The two that have plauged me the most is the app menu going blank from time to time and the sms not always getting a text though the regular messaging will. Otherwise it is amazing, and im soon getting the pro version. I suggest this app along with the sao health bar widget. One other thing that isnt an issue but qould be a great update is the swipe lag. If it could be a little more quick it'd be perfect.

This is a wonderful concept but its juat that. It feels very alpha in alot of ways. It's has a tendency to be lagy and you have to close and open the message bubble multiple times for it to load recently sent messages. You also can't see pictures on it or copy and paste messages on the non-"pro" versio. Its also have a "pro" version and the app just isn't good enough or refined enough to deserve a payed verson. It also is missing customizable features that alot of factory texting apps have.

The app is very sleek in activation and usage, and is quite cool to have especially the calculator. The only downside is the SMS feature. I love the design, particularly receiving and responding to texts. However, there is no multimedia support and I'm often exchanging pictures with one of my friends, which is kind of a hassle to keep switching to another app and setting it as default then switching back and so on. Alternating colors when looking at conversations would be nice as well (light grey receiver).

This is an amazing application launcher. Especially if you going for a minimalist homescreen. I have no icons, widgets, or dock on my homescreen(so basically just a background and the top statusbar) and use this as my primary application launcher. There are a few bugs that affect the responsiveness of the launcher shortly after it's initialization though once it's past them it does great.

I can't view or send photos in sms through this messenger extension. I love being able to reply through this without exiting my apps, but when it comes to photos I have to revert to the default sms to view and send any. Would love if you'd fix that somehow. Other than that, great app. Completely efficient and fun to act like you're in the sao mode.

Now I think it's a great app. However there are a few things it's lacking. Like the ability to delete messages for one. Receive pictures. I think the "player" tab should show a bit more info. Also be a bit larger for the pic. The drop down menu sometimes a bit laggy but overall it works fine. Please fix these and I'll immediately rate 5 stars! Also some more sao sounds would be great as well.

So I love this thing. So cool. Wish it had MMS support. That would make this app perfect. I get pictures and group messages a lot and its sad that I'm not able to view them. But other than that, flat out awesomesause. Another plus to this is that the message will pop up over what you are doing. Just makes life a little easier.

I like this but I have some issues and hope these will be updated next patch: 1. I cannot delete a message thread. 2. On contacts, I cannot select a desired number if my contact entry has 2 or more. Other than those two concern, This is great. Ü

The only things I'd want to see in the future would be confirm send and receive checks for text messages, as I have had a few send, but fail. The only way to know was to go back through to the stock messaging app. Push Notification bubbles enable and disable feature for messages, I sometimes don't even notice when I receive two or three at once. None the less awesome app! Great launcher. Thank you so much and keep it up!

I would LOVE this launcher, especially the messaging, accept that you cannot receive (or even look at old) pictures through texting! Friends have tried mms, doesn't work. Also a search feature in the contacts tab would be really nice. Please fix! The launcher does have a lot of pros; it's smooth running overall and messaging people has never felt quite so cool. Please fix the message issue; would live to give this five stars!

I'm loving the launcher and everything it currently has to offer. The one thing I've noticed that would make it better is the ability to be able to send pictures through the messenger. If I want to send a picture I have to go to settings and make my standard messaging my default. That's a real big hassle. I hope to see an update soon with a fox for this. Other than that, even if your not a fan of the anime, it's a solidly built launcher.

Executed very well and professionally, I would rate 5 stars but I have one issue. Even though it doesn't show picture messages it still downloads them automatically, and I'm only allowed so many MMS messages. Please add a feature to toggle wether or not MMS messages are downloaded automatically or not to help people avoid charges from their carriers for going over limits!

Aside from smart launcher, your launcher is very unique but there is a lot to add/work for. IT IS BEST to make it and become a total launcher like the other launchers. The messaging, hmm what about the dual sim phones. I am looking forward to use this launcher as my main launcher but please dont add boosters. PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU!!! I'll rate it 10 stars for this. hahaha

I got this because I wanted some fun Sword Art stuff on my phone but now the fact that it's SAO based is just a bonus feature. I use the launcher as a useful feature for my phone for quicker navigation. I feel like the way the launcher works should be how phones should just default operate. I haven't run into any bugs yet and hopefully I never do.

I love this launcher. It's so easy to use and it opens in any app not just the home screen. The only thing I wish is that the SMS settings allowed you to send and recieve pictures. Also it doesn't allow group texting. I regrettably had to switch to my old messenger just so I can get some of my messages. All that aside it's a great app. Very fun to use.

The app is amazing... once upon time. Like all apps people/I want updates otherwise they/I get bored with it. Love the sound, I geta nostalgic feeling everytime I swipe but it's not enough for me to keep the app. It was fun for a while but now it sits in my memory collecting "cyber dust". Great app if you use it. (Haha obvious answer)

Absolutely fantastic. This is without any question one of the best things I have ever installed. It works exactly as it should it even has the sounds and everything. my only complaint is that it does not come with the calculator and music player features by default. Still those features do work and it is definitely worth paying the $0.99 for the music player. this app is a must have for anyone who wants a fun and convenient way to navigate their phone. Edit: cant add pictures to text messages. -1 star

...why it seems to randomly close when I close another app? Like, when I swipe on where I've put the indicator there's no vibration and instead I'm pulling the notifs menu down. Good thing I have an "emergency open" button well hidden on my screen, otherwise I won't have any way to access the menu. As much as I want to make the swipe indicators remain visible to see if it suddenly closed again, its color doesn't suit the general theme of my home screen.

This app is quite cool. The swipe function does sadly dominate the space it sits over making where you put it essentially a space where you can't touch to activate other apps. Also there is no real way to manage or delete contacts, messages or apps from the launcher. I think something like this should definitely be implemented. It would make it a whole lot more worthwhile to use.

I seriously bought the pro version just bc I liked it so much. Please fix the messenger and I'd seriously appreciate it. I want to be able to receive mms messages and receive group messages. LABEL IT LIKE GUILD MESSAGES THAT'D BE AWESOME! AND SOMETHING WITH FRIEND REQUEST SO YOU CAN GET MORE PEOPLE INTO THIS. I've got lots of idea lol, if you want, but fix these first

This launcher makes everything easier to access and it makes your phone look futuristic and cool. Not only that it looks and sounds exactly like the menu in the show. Really awesome. My only complaint is the Texting part can't do everything my default Messenger can do like send or view pictures and stuff. Also the alert sound it makes when i get a text isn't very loud. Maybe you could update it to do everything a standard Texting app can do. And make the alert sound louder.

I love the menu but the messaging needs a little help being able to send photos would be nice. My phone won't allow more than one texting app so I'm constantly having to switch. And also when I add apps to my "player" tab some of my most important apps aren't in the list. If you could help fix this I would be quite happy. Other than that it is simply amazing and seamless

This works relatively well. I wish the swipe was a bit easier to use, but it takes a little tweaking to get familiar with it. The SMS app is cool, but is lacking a few key features that I use in my normal SMS app. You don't even receive picture messages, they are completely hidden and you cannot delete or sort any conversations. I would use the SMS app if it gets a proper update. Overall convenient and a nice theme.

You really need to add mms functionality. Otherwise this is a really cool app. I've got the pro and everything works really well. Bummer you have to buy the other icons tho such as the phone and calculator. Would be awesome if you can add receiving and sending pics tho, otherwise the sms loses half it's value to me and I'll go use the default android messenger

I love the idea of this app and am surprised how much interaction there is between everything. I think the biggest things that need work are the messaging portion. It still works very well but one big down fall is that there is no MMS support. Also, that when you hit the red X for message the whole app closes instead of just the message. Plus it does take time for the new and sent messages to appear for the inboxes. But I do like this app alot and love how the equipment slots are for app shortcuts,

I do not ever give a 5 star rating. I have never bought any apps, this was my first one, no joke. The pro only removes ads and allows profile pic. I thought it'd give all the extensions too, but no. Very splendid chap. :) there needs to be more setting like changing folders made in the app. Deleting folders, renaming folders, etc. Also fix the music extension. It doesnt name any songs... Thank you

I have to say, this is a pretty good "semi-launcher" as you call it. It looks amazing, and it's features are pretty good. However, the reason why I'm rating the SAO Launcher 4 stars out of 5 is because of it's Messaging system. I don't like the fact that I can't add pictures to my messages, and I have to change to my phone's sms to do it every time. I don't know if adding pictures to messages is a feature of the Pro Edition, but if it isn't a feature on the launcher at all (Free or Pro), I'd like to make a suggestion to add this feature to the launcher. If I could've sent pictures easily on the launcher's SMS, this review would've been 5 stars.

I love the aoo waaayyy too much! Bit I think if I'm going to keep using it as my messaging app, it should be able to receive, see, and send photos. Videos I don't mind, because that's a lot more work, but even though photos too are difficult. I think you AMD your team are able to do it, especially seeing what you've dome so far

A very well thought out application, well done. I feel it would be better as a launcher rather than a side-along application. The only downsides I have noticed so far are that the swipe system often requires 2 or 3 swipes before the menu will load, and then there is a short delay before it loads. The app addons are well thought out, however I honestly believe it would work better as a launcher.

The app is really cool and really fun to show off. But I notice. If you use the app menu on the player tab it opens multiple instances of each app you use. I had so many chrome instances open before I realized that it chrashed chrome. Also the player avatar could use some fixing or some kind of effect when setting the photo. And the dialer and music extensions could use some work. They are both very basic. Over all I really enjoy it though!!

Love the app makes things fast to get too looks great and can't wait to compare it to SAO Series when I finally get to watch them. Only thing is can't send pictures through the messaging system? Is that intentional? If so shoot me a message through my email or something x) but hands down love it

Fantastic idea, mostly works great. I'm having minor buggy issues though. Messages don't show up immediately when sent or received in the message viewer, they do show the pop up immediately though. Also, right now there's a permanent info bubble on the bottom of my screen that says "message expired or not available". So there's that. But otherwise it's very accessible and productive.

Its amazing to have a game like launcher like on the anime Sword Art On. But perhaps on the messaging u can add two button for which sim u will want to send. I've got dual sim and i really love to use the sao sms but whenever i send something it isn't sending nor asking me where i want to send. One more thing, i can't compose a message to. It would be cooler if u take some changes for the sms. I love the app though.

I love everything about the app and the UI is smooth. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that I can't receive picture messages in the app. And I have no idea if someone is sending me one either. If a picture in the message is not available then at the very least show a notification of some sort that the msg has an attachment. Other than that peeve, the app is gorgeous and I use every other feature regularly. Just not the messenger unfortunately.

I love this app in its entirety, granted lore wise it makes sense that this app no longer has a log out button since SAO also didn't have one. It's pretty fun when imagining your phones battery power is your life levels (through different app working with this one) and having to realize how much you need to conserve power. There are a few issues though. It would be nice to be able to clear your sms since if you switch back to regular sms it has to receive all you sent and got.. Also needs pic sms!!

I have issues with the launcher not loading any apps to open. If somebody could help me fix it I would have no problems with it because I love it! Thanks Edit: It finally loaded everything after about 8-10 mins. so its working great! Wonderful launcher, just needs to not kill my battery so quick

This is both seamless and useful. Messaging others is so cool. It has the exact same font. Incoming messages display on a pop up menu with the X and O buttons whether to reply. This has the same cool sound when an item is selected, but that can be muted. Its volume is too loud which needs to be fixed. There are four free themes available as small downloads from the settings menu.

I always have to switch from this to my normal messenger to receive pictures. I can't delete messages, and it would be great if we could have that log out button so it can lock the phone. What would be really cool too is if there could be a setting to assign different LED colors to different contacts. But that's just an idea. I wish I had more control considering I paid for the app. I really do like this app though, it's a great idea, but has alot of work needed.
