WifiDroid - Wifi File Transfer

Very good app. Helps me quickly transfer documents between devices. Ads aren't intrusive once you now how and when they pop up. Would rate it 5 stars if they allowed files to be uploaded to secondary micro sd (only uploads to internal memory). Edit: upload to device unable to support large files. Keeps on canceling mid upload

I like the app. It is a quick and easy way to transfer files between my HTC 10 and my Windows laptop. The only problem is that every once and awhile, it doesn't work. The browser window is different when opened and can't be manipulated. The next day it's fine. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm using this android app over the years... It's awesome, thanks WifiDroid. But recently I bought a new device having Marshmallow ,now I'm having issues here. I can't read/write my external storage, as it's completely invisible. I have tried every possible steps, but failed. Please fix this issue and provide an update to solve this. Here I should mention that I'm using Google-Chrome browser to transfer files.

I used to like this app for moving things like music onto my Nexus 4. Since then, trying to use it on two newer devices - a FengXiang vKB0004k tablet on Android 5.12 and a Moto G4 Play on 6.0.1- attempting to move any files onto the device immediately and silently fails. No error that I could use to fix the problem. Nothing. Possibly relevant: both devices have MicroSD slots, but I don't have a functional SD card to put in them.

Fast file transfer to/from phone. Only dislikes are 1) error says Firefox does not support downloading/uploading an entire folder, must download files not folders 2) downloading multiple files causes the app to 'zip' the multiple files as a single compressed zip file. This process changes the time stamps of the downloaded files. If you need accurate time stamps for legal or other purposes this feature screws with your files and potentially creates a problem for your legal proof. You'll need some other way to move your files without changing the time stamps. Aside from those two issues this app performs near perfectly. (the claimed Firefox folder 'issue' might not be this app's problem, if the error msg is being truthful about the blame).

Cannot enable hotspot, it failed. Transfer files through hotspot mode is the fastest way over wireless and this app failed. Useless. Fix it developer. I'm using Galaxy S7 running stock Android 6.0.1.

This app can turn your Android device into portable file server. Although there are many similar applications, but this one has some advantages over others, such as: 1. Absolutely Free: no feature limitations, no time limitations; 2. It can share file over your own portable hotspot instead of limited to using another Wi-Fi network, so no need for external router.

I connected my PC to my phone via phone's wifi hotspot tethering. But when I click on START SERVICE, it again takes me to hotspot settings. Can u plz fix that... if there is some other trick involved, can u plz guide me?

I feel your app will grow after you update the UI to something more modern and sleeker. Functionality is great, good job guys.

Amazing piece of software. Some improvements can be suggested: the can show the password under the URL on the screen. When setting a short password the just ignores it with no warning. Finally, browsers save the password when connected to the app (it must be revoked after stoping the server)

the app does not have a tutorial. I have tried numerous times transferring a file from my PC to my phone. DOES NOT WORK.

The best application. I found it after installing and checking more than 9 applications from play store. It is full featured app without any full screen ad. It can play videos from my mobile to my PC browser.

Easy to setup and use. Simple and user friendly layout that allows quick file transfers from phone to mac over wifi. Don't have to worry about compatibility with older computers as my MacBook is running 10.7.5.

Runs non-stop, drains battery, moves pics to PC but then there is no way to download them

Simple easy to use gets the job done. Also no limitations. Works fine on my Xperia Z3 C and W7

Can't see SD card except as read - only. Zero use to me

After trying many other apps this is the first I've found that does what I want first go without having to root my devices and mess around with settings.

Works as advertised. Finally a reliable way to move things back and forth between Mac and Samsung Galaxy 6/7 phones.

I used this app over years, and now i can't use this when using hotspot mode... My phone xiaomi redmi note 3, 6.0

Only things are missing is ftp support and favorites

Only password option is available. There is no write mode available

It does what it says. Very easy to use. You can transfer files between your phone and computer in either direction. Easier to use than a wired connection and just as fast. I wrote to support and got help within a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend.

WifiDroid-wifi File Transfer apk is a good program to transfer files from Samsung android phone to windows 7 OS laptop and served the purpose for which i was looking to transfer DCIM snaps, located in the Storage data card.

This free app is better than most of it's paid competition. Wouldn't use anything else.

Easy to use. Better than share it for PC. But can not send folder directly. Need to unzip after transfer. But good to use.

SHame we can't write direct to SD card...I think this is an Android issue tho. Even on 6.1
