xBLEx Bluetooth Low Energy

xBLEx is a tool for testing and developing Bluetooth Low Energy / Bluetooth 4.0 / Bluetooth Smart / BLE devices.
Bluetooth Low Energy technology is used in various activity trackers, wireless-enabled wearable devices, heart rate monitors and many more gadgets. The application is also useful for developing Bluetooth Low Energy client applications for those devices.

It is capable for scanning Bluetooth Low Energy devices. Once the devices are scanned, connection may be established by selecting the device from the device list.

When a Bluetooth Low Energy device is connected the services provided by the device are listed in the services list (upper spinner). For each selected service the app lists the characteristics for that service in another list (lower spinner).

When a characteristic is selected its current value and its properties are shown on the screen. If the device permits, the characteristics can be changed and sent back to the device.
