Snapdragon™ BatteryGuru for Android
Awesome, got an m7 with no changeable battery and after a few years I thought I had killed it (phone wouldn't last a day) so I was looking for new phones and ended up trying this instead. Been about 6 months and this phone is still going strong again!
I keep turning off the setting to control when WiFi turns on and off automatically being as it doesn't quite work with my schedule... no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall, restart, etc. It keeps turning the feature on and it's really annoying... other than that it's ok
This app will control your wifi turning it on at random inconvenient times. There's an option to turn this feature off but it doesnt work. Judging from other reviews this has been a problem for a while. Doesnt save enough battery life to justify using on lgg3
Excellent way to make your smartphone stay 'smart' and yet last longer App makes your smartphone last longer between charges. After a week or so, the increase in the battery life is very noticeable with no drop in performance or app refresh (leaving 'inactivity power boost' on will stop app refresh).[update: the app is not that useful with Android 5.0+. Minimal optimizations, barely useful. I would recommend sticking to it only if you are running KitKat or older]
This app is amazing. So incredibly helpful on my galaxy s5. Unfortunately I have now upgraded to a galaxy s6 edge and this app is no longer compatible and I can't use it. If you make it compatible I will return my five star review because I absolutely love this app.
I just installed this app, im at 100% on my battery. I have a Samsung s5, not rooted. I will give it a try, a week, to let it do its thing. If i see a decent improvement in my batterys life, i will up the rating. I also use DU battery saver, i hope it dosnt affect the operation of either app.
This app has not caused one trip up that I have noticed. Update: Except it is 24/7 notifying that location services need to be turned on, they are on. Still getting extra life so not sure what is going on with it.
Has this been killed off? Says I don't have any compatible devices...I have a Nexus 4, 5 and 6P which all have Qualcomm SoCs so this app should work on those devices.
Just installed 5 or 6 days ago for my 1+2 and after having being in learning mode has been fully functional since yesterday Seems like it is really saving battery . I was really impressed on how fast the battery got charged... On thing though that I emailed them is that I would like the snapdragon logo on top left to always show the battery level instead of the snapdragon logo. That would be a great option instead of the default Android one
A must for Stock Android users! Increased my Nexus 6 from 1 day on heavy use to 2 days without noticing any difference in usage. It continually learns how i use my phone and how apps are used/needed. Even manages how I manage my wireless automatically. If it had additional options for root such as hardware tweaking or limiting power to the antenna's based on current signal strength or even granular control on different location settings for different apps then this would boost the phones battery to all new levels. Only thing that drains my battery now is the screen and that wonderful Google Play services haha.
Qualcomm Connected Experience create this app called SnapDragon BatteryGuru. This sharp graphics and compelling app is design to prolong the life of your Android. Battery power is the third concern among Android users. The first is viruses, and the second is privacy. This app is very easy to use. This app has it's own intelligence that learn from how you use apps and how frequently you use certain apps in order to reduce or increase battery power. Good app! Help prevent Hollywood debt/wealth crime scams.
Battery power stays much longer with snapdragon low power mode on! I had this in 2014, but they made changes and temporarily were unable to adapt to my android. I reinstalled it ,late June 2015) as it had adapted. After a 3 day learning period...yes 3 days not 2...but the wait was worth it. When before the battery would be ready to die , shortly after lunch, now it goes through to 6pm dinnertime. Also quickly finds wi fi.
The app was great and I learnt a lot from the app. However, past few days the phone died completely in the mornings. I'd leave my phone with around 50% battery before I sleep. I wake up and find the phone has 0% and have to charge the phone in the morning to full again. I think this might be to do with the inactivity settings.
Do you need local on for it to work, kills what it saves. Bye bye! Wish it had more to see behind scenes what it was doing and had a paid version that did NOT need locale ON 247 makes zero sense, why? Love snapdragons though. Fix?... least just turn off need for locale please!...
Worked great until my phone updated to Android Marshmallow. Now it's not compatible. It definitely made a difference before the Android upgrade. My battery life went from about 10 hours to a full day. Location services are needed because it enables/disables the wifi based on where you are after learning where you manually enable/disable it.
This app does save battery but not so much that I couldn't imagine life without it. With that being said there is no reason not to get it if you have a Qualcomm device as you'll get a few more minutes, or possibly hours, with it. However I believe there is a bug where you cannot turn off the app manging your WiFi. This isn't a deal breaker since you can always make the time before it begins to manage your WiFi after you manually change it longer but it is a relatively simple bug that should be fixed.
The app is pretty good but I don't like that it turns on my Wi-Fi automatically even after I've set it to not manage Wi-Fi automatically. The setting reverts itself. It'd also be nice if it worked without needing Location to be turned on all the time.
This feature really drained my LG G3’s battery just on the 3rd day of learning. And I notice that it just doesn’t turn on the Wi-Fi for a few minutes. As long as I’m in a Wi-Fi zone, it’s permanently turned on which causes battery drain. Please just remove this feature. Uninstalling for a while.
3 factory resets, a hand full of rude calls to Verizon trying to get a phone that worked after lollipop, months of frustration, and accepting I now owned a piece of crap. I love my phone again and forgot how awesome it is. uninstalled battery guru and rebooted. Lg g3 came back like a champ.
It seems like its working... from 2 and half hours, after i uninstalled Greenify, and installing BatteryGuru. It can now survive to 3 and half to 4hrs (Heavy Usage & gaming)... Question, I'm still in learning mode state, Can i turn off Location Service right after batteryguru learned my usage pattern? Thanks.
The original version worked pretty well aside from a bug in Wi-Fi management. Thus version won't let you disable Wi-Fi management, and seems to be causing accelerated battery drain. I'm reverting back to the original app until things get fixed.
This app is amazing. So incredibly helpful on my galaxy s5. Unfortunately I have now upgraded to a galaxy s6 edge and this app is no longer compatible and I can't use it. If you make it compatible I will return my five star review because I absolutely love this app.
Nicely laid out. Looks good. Relevant info. Nice control over app refresh rates. The only slight niggles are the bar under the snapdragon icon in the notification bar is way longer than the number and as a result is offset... looks weird. The other thing is the ongoing lock screen notification constantly saying 52%, ever since I first used the app - I imagine if I rebooted the phone this would change. Finally! an app that doesn't have stupid cache cleaning and junk file deletion. Almost perfect!
My only question... Why the need to have locations/GPS alway enabled. This almost defeats the purpose of a battery saver app. GPS kills battery life the most! I will reserve judgment on the app in a few days.
Doesn't work for me. It actually reduced my battery life dramatically. I was getting a full days use on a charge. While using this app my phone would go from 100 to 80% just on the 30 minute ride to work. Deleted. Now my phone is back to the usual battery life. Sorry battery guru your app is garbage
Love it! Really saving your battery life, this app can manage your background apps so no need to turn off manually. But still limited access to all apps. And I don't know why manage WiFi can't turn OFF. Please fix it! Thanks.
This app has not caused one trip up that I have noticed. Update: Except it is 24/7 notifying that location services need to be turned on, they are on. Still getting extra life so not sure what is going on with it.
In the advanced setting about wifi, if wifi turns manually, it won't be manage after 6 hours, right? But, this application always shows the available wifi! Even (in the main menu) I turn of the service about wifi, it always turn on automatically. :/
Even when I turn off the option to allow the app to manage Wi-Fi, it automatically turns itself on again as soon as I change the page or leave the app. This is very annoying when I want to manage my Wi-Fi myself. Otherwise the app works as described
Has this been killed off? Says I don't have any compatible devices...I have a Nexus 4, 5 and 6P which all have Qualcomm SoCs so this app should work on those devices.
No noticeable battery savings.. And can the app please stop turning on the wifi management if the user set it off? Getting tired of turning it off again and again. Thank you very much
Like some other users, the manage wifi switch turns itself back on after disabling it. Used to be a great app and I am now forced to uninstall it as my phone lasts alot longer without it.
This app used to be great, until some genius decided it was a good idea to remove the best part of the app. The "low power mode" widget was used constantly. So why it would be obsolete now, is beyond me... Bring back the widget and I'll rethink my rating.
That's it I'm removing this dopey app. Despite going thru all the settings and turning off anything to do with wifi mgmt, and changing the don't do anything to wifi if changed manually it continually reenables wifi management. Uninstalling! Plus i don't see any benefit to battery life at all.
So far on my HTC One m8 this app is amazing. I've had a problem with Google services draining my battery. The app so far has solved the problem. I use about 1% of battery in an hour now while my screen is off compared to around 5-8%. I will update if I notice any differences
I am not going to tell you what is great about this app but I will tell you what is wrong with the app and why I deleted it 24 hrs after installation. 1) Not really a reason but a noteworthy point. It is not compatible with all snapdragon devices. I have three sd devices and it only worked on one. 2) Not a deal breaker but it is a definite drawback. There is no battery percentage icon. EVERY battery saving app has a battery percentage icon that is there even on the lock screen. Snapdragon BatteryGuru has one but it show for only a few secs after you unlock the screen and it is not even there on the lock screen, whats up with that. 3) THE DEAL BREAKER. I deleted this app because it REQUIRES you and I mean REQUIRES you to keep your GPS location on all the time for it to work. If you take it off the GPS the app tells you "location services required, All battery saving features are halted." WTF! I for one only turn on the GPS when I need it as it can drain as much as 20-30% of your battery life per day. So Snapdragon BatteryGuru gets a F- for that crap. Make a GPS FREE version for people who DO NOT USE GPS UNLESS NEEDED!!!!
Nexus 6 has horrible battery life without it. but I wish there was a workaround for the data toggle in Lolipop. Hopefully you guys find it =/

Uninstalled. Does more harm than good for my battery life. Note 4 Sm910p
