About West Virginia Haunts
About West Virginia Haunts
West Virginia Haunts is an official West Virginia Ghosts Android application.
The application will help you find haunted locations within West Virginia. All locations were submissions to West Virginia Ghosts over the past 15 years. There are over 120 Haunts for West Virginia and growing!
West Virginia Haunts provides all haunts, ghost towns, and abandonments in one, sorted by county and then alphabetically by the name of the haunt. Each location contains information about the haunt, GPS navigation, and mapping to help you find the location.
We do not personally guarantee that any of these locations are actually haunted; we list what locals, eyewitnesses, and others believe or witnessed for themselves. We take many steps in order to verify that our information is accurate. However, we cannot be fully responsible for inaccuracies caused by incorrect information from sources, and we apologize should there be any.
Some West Virginia counties are missing from West Virginia Haunts due to not having hauntings listed for that county. We will add updates for missing counties as we receive more information. You can submit new Haunted Locations to us for possible inclusion through the menu on West Virginia Haunts or by visiting West Virginia Ghosts.
Android Devices
This application supports over 10,000 devices (Honeycomb to Marshmallow) and supports all screen resolutions (except for Android Wearables). Newer Android APIs prevent this application from running on older Android devices such as Froyo and Gingerbread. We apologize for this inconvenience; however, we could not avoid it.
Application Issues
West Virginia Haunts has been tested frontwards, backwards, and sideways to find bugs and potential problems. Although this app is "bug-free," there is always a possibility that something may have gone unnoticed or there is something with your Android Device conflicting with something. In either case, feel free to contact us with your issues and we will try to help you resolve them.
Application Requirements
Network Connection: For the initial setup and for drawing the maps. Once a map is drawn, your device should cache it and you should not need a network connection to view that map again.
Location Services: Used so the map can place you in conjunction with the Haunt you are viewing and for navigation.
TTS Service: In order to use the Text-to-Speech in the application. Most devices already come with this.
Google Play Services: To use any of the mapping features. Your Android device should already have this.
This is an AD Free app. Enjoy!
