NYC Subway Status for Android
Allows you to customize which NYC subway lines you want to follow, and there's a widget that lets you see the current status.
v.1.0.5 -subway lines are now displayed properly in the MTA's feed
Installed and removed. Nice design and graphics just to slow for me. Maybe if it had all delays on one page. -moto cliq
+Looks pretty. +Has widget. - hides data? -Widget and detail page it only shows one line at a time and no indication of other problems.
Nice app but it would be nice to include all subway lines. It does not include the Q line. Even when I go to settings there is no Q line
Updates the status, I set it to: never widget could use space better
Pretty good app except it only shows certain trains instead of letting you have the option to pick a train.
WOW! OMG! THIS IS GREAT, AMAZING, PERFECT, ETC.! THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR MAKING IT!
Good concept, but when the L train status says "last update 4 days ago" it doesn't exactly give me confidence that it's really up to date.
I always use this app and it's usually on point. I can check the status of all the NYC trains, even the Q.
Slow to update sometimes...but overall good app
Says it updates but last update from 2 days ago
There is a blizzard in nyc and its hard getting around today. This app is up to date and awesome. 5 stars
Great app. It'd be perfect if you can have a separate frequency update that was rush hour-specific (instead of updating every 5mins 24/7).
Finally found a great app to tell me what trains r messed up. Layout could be better
I'm not sure if this live info. Its it? If not that's what missing.
Only displays a single subway line. Have to select only one line in settings to see additional lines. Tedious. HTC evo
Love it. More detailed then the other app.just make sure u go into the apps setting and change to update every 10 minutes
Gives accurate news of which subway service is going to be on time or late.
Would love to see a widget for this app, also the GUI needs to be tweaked a bit
100 percent accurate. For those with update issues go to setting and set the time you wish for it to update.
7 day old updates? It's useless!! It's never helped me & I know that because I check the update & when I got into the subway the trains were messed up
Nyc mate is much better! You get a map :)
Great app! No longer worried about getting stuck waiting for the train!
So far so good. Works well with my mytouch slide.
Worked great until hurricane sandy hit us. When I needed it most, it had no info. Hasn't updated for about two weeks now.
Great app. I can refresh & be anywhere on time. G1!
The status updates doesn't fill up the whole screen of the Droid bionic.
App works well, dev was very responsive to bugs and replied to my emails.
Excellent app!! Does what it says and the widget is handy too. Samsung Epic.
This app has stopped updating automatically sometimes. Somedays it will somedays not. It appears this us now an abandoned app since its been nearly 3 years since the last update.
I've depended on this app for 3 years now and have always loved it. Having just switched to a Galaxy S5, I no longer have any access to settings so I cant control what lines I see. So I am now stuck scrolling past "Good Service" on 5 lines I never ride before I get to the train I take home. Very annoying, not sure how long I'll last before switching to Embark.
This app is needed the most right now, when commuting on the subway is such a mess, and so confusing, and changing day by day. The app's information has not been updated in the last week, making the app effectively useless. Install an official MTA approved app instead.
I work for MTA New York City Transit and although the MTA has chosen Embark NYC as the best all around app I like this app because the information is straight forward and the trains are grouped together properly unlike in other apps.
This app is quick, efficient and provides good info, but sliding through all of the train lines is a little annoying. It needs an overview screen so you can see which lines have service changes or at least it needs a different navigation so you can go from one train line to the next that you want to check without having to go through every single line in between.
I love the way this app looks, and most of the time it's just as useful as it sounds. The only problem with it is that the autoupdating doesn't work right. It seems to work fine at first, but if you haven't used the app for a couple hours, it stops getting updated info, so you have to remember to open the app before you go underground. I also wish the app had an overview screen, so you could see general status of all lines at once and get to a line without flipping through 1 by 1. But, overall, good app!
Does not update in real time. Shows delays that are 2 hours old. Shows supended service 2 hours old, I need an update every 5 minutes!
It would be nice if there was a way to see all service changes on one screen so you don't have to ruffle through all the lines when u make connections
Need a faster way to click on a specific line rather than scroll through the whole list. It's actually faster to bookmark mta's site-service update pg
Downloaded this so I wouldn't have to open my web browser but it only works sometimes. NYC just had a hurricane which suspended all train service for a little under a week and not once did this app update. Now that all the trains are running, on a limited service, this app still says good service. I'm still forced to open the mta website so this app is useless. Love the widget btw, if it ever worked
Nice graphics, but UI is confusing, some notes about sliding panel 2 C other lines. Bus / Train info would be useful (NYC Transit Status app has this)
