Bengaluru Indeed Ranks Among The Fastest Growing Global Cities

Most of us are still carried away by London and Paris, New York and Tokyo! While it is true that these are examples of mighty cities of the past where a lot of history has been made, times have changed. On the surface, we tend to judge merely by population figures that reflects the size in numbers. We have gone far beyond such statistics these days.
Though dominated by Western culture in terms of economic strength and military might, Asian giants such as Jakarta, Shanghai and Manila are among the largest in terms of population.

Drive around Bengaluru and see and feel for yourself. Technology is in the air in a vibrant city that craves for more and more. Cosmopolitanism is rampant with two thirds of the population being non Kannada speaking, hailing from all over the globe and several states of India too. The Bengaluru urban mix is hard to beat and large tracts of surrounding land are getting assimilated into endless residential layouts that make excellent investments for the future.

The ongoing construction of the Metro railway would become another big boost to the image of the global city. North Bengaluru already booms in property values due to the proximity of the Kempegowda International Airport.

A global city must have its satellites and Whitefield close by in the east is another dream come true. Whitefield bustles day and night with myriad software infrastructure besides all the fairy tale housing projects next door to the garden city.

Whether it is Peenya and its industrial infrastructure, the development of hotels and resorts for the tourism industry, the super specialty hospitals and the entertainment industry, sweet things are always happening, sometimes with a bang and often in quiet whispers. The Bengaluru culture resounds through Asian and Western markets too with the digital technology.

Educational facilities, media, sports and the silks industry are other beacons that attract like lighthouses in the ocean. Whether it is Channapatna toys or the flavor of terracotta and filigree, the artistry of the local craftsmen would leave international travelers stunned.
