Wotwine? Wine App for Android
I love this app... However, it is so frustratingly unstable. It seemed to work so well early on (earlier in 2016) but now it consistently crashes making it almost unusable. It's such a shame as it's a brilliant idea and I used to use it all the time. Maybe it's my device? I'm running a One Plus 2. PLEASE help-I'm starting to end up buying 'half price' bottles at the end of the aisle again which leave me drinking more than I should, lamenting for the loss of Wot Wine and my previously well-informed consumer purchasing decisions.
The app works fine for me. I love some of the comments Esp for crap wine. Takes the hazard out of buying wine in aldi :-)
Used to be excellent, not sure if naff update but now won't even scan
Stuck at 87% so hard to say what I'm missing. But it scanned my Tesco Cote du Rhone ok.
Scans and gives good info. Scan again, hangs and won't close.
Scanner does not work on LG3 WITH android 6, shame I liked it a lot, but its of little use without the scan feature.
Brill its like taking the experts shopping with you
Won't update database hangs on 87%
Now working. Thank you.
Won't work on my Samsung S4. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing with no luck... Disappointing
It was slow before, but usable. Now (19 July 2015, v1.3.2), it's falling over all the time - usually when I ask it to scan and get the "Black Screen of Death" followed by "Unfortunately Wotwine has stopped working".
Changed to a updated Samsung and won't work.
Need to have login to be able to share between devices
Hasn't worked at all since the latest upgrade....white screen of death!
App opened and worked once now just crashes
it runs very slowly and updates appear to be no existent - a wine which they were 'rushing out to buy' before Xmas still hasn't been evaluated in March.
Handy to find THE wine among all the supermarkets clever, but sometime misleading, words and marketing. Does take an age to load though .....
Had a few wines saved with notes then updated phone. Downloaded app again and cannot find a way of reloading previous info. Is there no login. Agree with other comments about the back key exiting the app and the slow loading.
Loved the idea of this app but in practice its crap. Doesn't even scan correctly, fails to open properly most of the time
But current version won't scroll through long lists of search results on my Nexus 7 2013; the results spring back to top of the list!
Slick, but I didn't agree with the recommendations - seldom did where wine is concerned. And of course they struggle to keep up with what's actually on the shelves.
Great idea but I suspect this isn't a native Android app and, as such, is painfully slow, even on my Galaxy Note 3. Also, since the UI doesn't follow any Android design guidelines, it is not at all user friendly.
Downloaded twice...can't open, does nothing. Any ideas Wotwine? Using Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Not intuitive, really slow between screens, annoying.
... Slow to start up, can't seem to share a wine by email which is surely a good way of spreading the word about the app? Overall probably keep it
Well they do say the Android version is a beta and it very clearly is. A friend as it on his Iphone and I thought it was very good but wont load on my LG G3 . I will keep it on in the hope that they update it to a proper Android version.
Great idea being able to get wine reviews whilst shopping. But App let down by technical issues. It is very slow to load on Galaxy S4 and sometimes just fails to load at all. Such a shame as really like concept to point that i would pay for an App that fully (and without bugs) offers this service. Please fix.
OK, not the fastest or funkiest app in the ether, but gives great, unstuffy, plain English wine reviews that will transform your trip to the supermarket. Recommended!
Great idea ruined by poor design. The search function is completely useless, it is impossible to enter a price, a grape type, and if you can get it to do a basic search, then you can't scroll thru' it! Emailed Wotwine & have heard nothing back.
I've not got the latest and greatest phone but not too bad. This app takes ages to start up, by which point I've got bored of waiting and moved into the beer aisle. Also, phone back button exits app rather than going back to previous screen so have to wait for it to load all over AGAIN! Please change to only exit when on initial home screen, or confirm before exit.
Think the wotwine concept is great and the app a good idea. Really slow and clunky on my razri phone and when I tried to use it in lidl, got a, sorry wotwine had stopped working, not helpful. Reduced to one star, just doesn't work. Uninstalled

Search stopped working. Needs a fix
Thank you for this wonderful app and all the work and energy you put into it. I feel the technical side needs some attention though, as the app is really slow on startup and the navigation is none too intuitive. Searching for a wine takes ages, I can't add a note to a wine from the 'my flags' list, (it would be nice to add a note to a wine flagged 'bought' and then change it to another status..) Food pairings, you didn't have to go there, this should just be a nifty little app to guide you through the supermarkets' selection of wines. But again, thanks because you have helped me select some great wines!
This is great to get expert view on real value amongst all the promotions and offers. It works perfectly on my HTC one. It's a very useful and honest app!
Great for criticking dinner party guests with their wine gifts. Especially when it's Coney!
I scan it tells me never seen this wine before and to please select a super market from the list where I purchased the wine ... Only problem is no list of supermarkets loads up so that me stuck , I am happy to right Reviews of wines but I can't even do that , will try on different wines but the supermarkets list needs to be sorted , btw I am fully updated on kit Kat HTC one , great idea for A app though , cheers
Very slick and helpful app for wine drinkers. I'll sometimes disagree with their ratings (Quirky Bird Shiraz is fantastic value!) but even then I can add a flag to the entry to remind myself that I loved it. Not sure about the problems others are having but no updates have broken it for me and it remains a simple task to whip it out in the supermarket aisle, have a scan and make a decision. Well done.

Good. Very Good actually. But equally as frustrating. 'Stopped working' comes up more often than a review!!!
