Radio New Zealand

This app is better than other radio apps I have come across. You can still use your phone while it's running in the background. It is amazing how many nz stations there are. There is a part where you can add a radio station if it isn't there but I haven't been able to work it. I have been trying to get Radio Rhema.

This app has all the New Zealand radio stations, well almost. It doesn't have my favourite station: Radio Rhema.

I'm tired of apps that have no available premium versions to purchase. Adware is designed to get you to click on them (whether intentionally or not), and my advice is to always click the back button whenever a dodgy dating site ad, etc, pops up; never try to close ads. Don't touch them unless you intend to be redirected to a dodgy site. Also, don't fall trap to threats of permantly shutting down your device because it has been "infected". They are a rouse to get you to install another app. Close all tabs...

Seems like a good app on paper, but it plays audio for about 30 seconds and then just stops. You then have to pause and play which buffers and it starts playing again for another about 30s before cutting out again. It's like it's not auto buffering. Tried to leave it for a while to see if it would buffer on its own but nope, once it stops, it won't play until i pause and play again. Galaxy s6 Edge

An off timer function like iheart radio would be great. I like to fall asleep to music but I don't want to leave the app playing as it will eventually wake me up

It is great in the fact that there are so many radio stations on this but sometimes the buffering does get annoying... There are also no ads so that is an added bonus..

Its a great app. Every now and then it cuts out but I think its mobile coverage.

I love this app so much and i only got it today.The only problem is that I can't get the edge Auckland playing it just says sorry can't play this radio or something like that so can u plz fix that and it would be way better

Great app and easy to use. Went looking for an alternative to I heart radio app as it was driving me mad. This app is way better, thanks

I watch my data disappear wen som stupid add pops up by force

I like it but it would be better if it didn't us data or wife but other than that it is awesome

Full screen as pops up every time I change the station. There is also an ad at the top of the list of radio stations which is disguised to look like one of the radio stations.

When you are trying to play it on your speeker it won't work for you.

When listening via bluetooth ( in the car) on my S7 it doesn't override the Samsung music app. They both play together. I need to turn off the music manually

Works well. One suggestion, would be great if a timer could be incorporated somehow. I love listening to this app at night but don't want to leave it running. Thanks guys!

Cool idea for an app, but infested with ads, horrible experience, don't install.

There's no point if I need an active Internet connection

The ads are a nuisance and would happily purchase an ad free premium version if made available.

Clunky interface. Every station listed as afro beat.

Buffered but no sound.

Probably the best online radio app. I agree that I wouldn't mind paying to get rid of the ads, and that would be my only suggestion.

Superb. Enabled me to get great updates during the recent earthquakes and stay in touch while abroad. Easy to use too.

Drops out now and then but otherwise very good app.

Be a 5 if I could select the Wellington Sound instead of the Auckland one.

Like the fact I have a good choice of stations to choose from. Found it helpful after the latest earthquake.

Can be temperamental sometimes but does the job adequately

I usually play it well my sister isn't here but usually I put it on Bluetooth.

8/4/16: Updated phone to a newer model running marshmellow and app sound keeps stopping if I open another window or try to change stations. Have had to restart phone 2x this morning to get app to run again. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? Previous: Apart from an occasional glitch when first installed app seems to be working well.

Great app, it's just what I was looking fur since Bluetooth soundbars don't have FM tuners built in. I would happily pay 2 or 3 bucks for this to remove the annoying ads. Please add an in app purchase premium version! Also no settings so I'm not sure if it's using the highest bitrate streams or not? Seems like it's using low bitrate streams even when stations have high quality streams available, that's ok on 3G, but not so good at home on your HiFi soubdbar, the quality really is inferior

Really great compact easy to use app with no hassles with ads as compared to other apps

It has all the stations in new Zealand and it loads up faster than most other separate raido apps using less data good for when you're out and about haven't got a lot of data and want to listen to music it's all their and duse not use a lot of data

Born and Raised in Australia but New Zealand have some awesome radio stations... especially the hip hop/reggae stations.. save time looking for the next song to play while drinking with mates.. Flava FM and Nui FM.. best stations

Brilliant app has everything you need to listen to. My favourite choice!!!

Great if all you want to do is listen to the radio. Simple to use.

All stations does not always work. A bit frustrating at times.
