WorldMate for Android
Great app. Really useful as it holds all info for my trips in one place. Car rental gives good deals and sharing agenda makes life very simple. Only criticism is it doesn't accept parking bookings at airport (well Heathrow).
Great. I have tried over 10 different travel apps for Android so far and this one is the best yet. Nothing compares to blackberry travel but this is the closest thing. The only disadvantage of this app compared to blackberry travel is that you have to actually email your itenary as opposed to it automatically taking the info from your email account. But overall I'm happy so far.
I've been using Worldmate for several years. Its been very good. There's only 2 things I don't love about it. First if you're traveling on a small regional airline, for some reason editing flight info is very difficult, you almost have to erase the flight and start over. Secondly, updating the Google calender is a little slow. I have seen it take several hours to update changes. Other then those 2 items, its a great travel app, I recommend it.
Extremely helpful for a frequent traveller like me. The only bits which are missing are:1. Automatic scanning of e-mails (available in BlackBerry Travel app) 2. Ferry booking management. Other than that, definitely one to have.
Used to keep my flight times updated. For some reason, it no longer does. This makes this app somewhat useless, and risky to rely on. Google inbox now aggregates my travel details automatically, so I guess goodbye worldmate!
The app itself works great but it has intrusive notifications that can't be turned off. The only choice is to uninstall it. However the website won't let you access your itineraries through the browser on the phone. This means that without the app, you're stuck. These changes are recent and were not the case in the earlier builds.
I like the app and find it extremely useful for keeping all flights and other reservations organised. However since my subscription expired I have been unable to renew it again. My emails to Worldmate customer support have gone unanswered and I find this extremely disappointing.
It's saved me time and anxiety when things change along the way. Getting rid of the nagging for unused items (rental cars, hotel rooms) would be nice.
Works great and fast. With seconds after sending email of booking it was updated. You must puchase the cheap gold profile (less than 10$ a year) to be able to view delayed flights and gate changes etc or if you book something off the app you get it free for 3 months. Very helpful for backpackers and travelers. Highly recommended.
I have had Worldmate Gold for years when I suddenly don't have the "gold" status anymore. I paid for that upgrade and now they just took it away and it is now on subscription! Bad move guys!
Cannot find my inland flight from San Juan to Buenos Aires. App should be able to handle manually typed-in flight numbers instead of pretending its flight database is complete.
Flight times not updating, OK if flights are later, not so good if they are early. Even with Gold leaves legs off, still not updating schedules. Dont waste your money on the Gold update, and they don't respond to requests for support. By far the worst app I have ever purchased.
After using BlackBerry Travel for a number of years, this app is close but still a little room for improvement. Was hoping it would be more like BlackBerry Travel since they wrote the BlackBerry Travel app. Still worthy of the $10 upgrade.
Got double charge when upgrade to Gold and didn't work. Already complain through email but no response. Worst service... never upgrade to Gold...they just rip off your money!!!
I like the App overall and have a gold membership. I don't like have you can't remove hotel and car rental missing text. It shows up between all my flights and I would like the option to disable it. It is a feature I don't use and just clutters everything up. I get that they make money off this but I should have the option as a subscriber.
I have used this app for 2 years and it has always been glitchy. I finally tried another travel app and all of the issues I had with Worldmate are gone with the other app. For example, An itinerary with flights and hotel will not show the hotel on Worldmate (works fine with the other app). Also, I have a flight I take regularly that has a quick stopover. Worldmate only shows this portion of the the trip to the stopover. My actual destination does not appear in Worldmate. I emailed Worldmate about this issue and they replied with instructions to manually enter the information. The other app I have been trying out has no issue with this, all of my information displays correctly and has a much better format for the information display. Even my car rental info is easy to follow. You have lost a customer that was paying for Gold membership. Goodbye Worldmate.
I've used this app too many times to count. The only issue I see is when I'm staying with friends and the app constantly suggests accommodations. Or it just reminds me I have missing accommodations. I wish there was a way to turn that off. Other than that, the app works flawlessly. Awesome.
Great to have things in one spot. Never forget about that getaway weekend next year that we booked now. Love the phone - desktop/laptop sync. ... Still the best.
Have to give it only one because of an issue with stupid international date lines even if the date is before the 1st flight, it seems to not let you add the correct date and places the transport to airport after the first flight. This is silly. Whats the use of adding a city to this booking if it does not correct the time and date for that city and puts the whole booking system out. This needs to be rectified. And I have to disagree with some post. Tripit has alot more useful features.
Sadly I am downgrading my review. The app is self is good to have, but it often does not update properly and the calendar sync is hit or miss. I often times have to manually input items. I have had times for flights be totally wrong, so I have to double check everything before I can trust it. The main reason for the low review is the horrible support. I pay for the Gold lever app, and it takes 2-3 WEEKS to get a response to a support request. This is beyond unacceptable. They just don't seem to care about the users
They shut down their web app with no advanced warning. A decade of my travel history is now inaccessible. Outrageous to treat customers like this. Why no sunset period to take screenshots or copy data? This is like Google shutting down Gmail and deleting all your old mail without warning. Staggeringly poor governance from Carlson Wagonlit Travel, owners of Worldmate.
Need to remove social share from such prominent location on top of trip and give us ability to disable it. Who wants to advertise they are away from home? Security nightmare.
Used to use BlackBerry Travel app and loved how integrated it was. This almost has the same integration, just wished it would automatically monitor my inbox for those travel related emails and update automatically.
It looked promising but ended up as big disappointment, cannot edit existing data, requires deleting the entry first. Free version is absolutely useless and the fee charged might be okay for business people or frequent travellers but for one, two trips a year is worthless. Wasted my time trying to make use of it, including creating an account that I will never use again. It is free because that's what you get, thanks for nothing...
Gold version only picks up 20% of flights, zero hotel bookings and has saved none of may previous trips of the past 7 months. Does not even recognize an e-ticket from a big company like KLM despite forwarding it to WorldMate. Agree with previous reviewer who said BB Travel was better. This app is even worse on my wife's iPhone 7. We are both very disappointed. Don't waste your time or money.
It keeps getting better. Love that now I only have to forward confirmation emails and moments later, it shows up in WorldMate! Still love it!
Been using it for few years and every new release had some issues. When reporting them to support got very brushing answers.
My flights have not been added. Ive sent it twice. Ive emailed and given feedback 3 times hoping for a response or a fix but havent received one. Such a shame as i really like the app. Offers a lot of detail and i love the weather and widget features
Lowered rating since this still hasn't changed. Really? On the top of every trip, there's a stupid recommended social media post about my trip. I don't want to post about my trip on social media. Maybe in the free version, that's an acceptable stream of free advertising, but not having the option to disable this for Gold members is unacceptable.
Same as TripCase app really which imports data into the app from emails send it. but it does not import as much info or less successfully (such as if you are booking and buying the plane tickets for more than one person in a single trip vs as a single transaction for each ticket). But as with both apps they cant import everything and you must do some things manually such as tours, ground transportation (airport transfers) and other things. Frankly, all of the apps have a little way to go. I prefer Tripcase though because at least it can also store PDF files of your booking info from your emails as well as import the info into the APP (so even if the app made a mistake importing you can look at the PDF and see what the actual info was).
All my travel needs, via a simple forwarded email, end up in one spot. Travel with confidence if any changes come up with all your info accessible in WorldMate
A really handy way to gather all of your trip info in one place. I like the way it lets you know if you're missing a hotel or a car reservation for a trip.
Just keep forwarding your tickets, itinerary, hotel confirmations, etc from a single email id and worldmate takes care of the rest. It even syncs some train itineraries. And you can still manually make changes to the plans. You don't have to browse through tickets for pnr or flight numbers,etc..all information is synced, with even links for Web check in. No doubt a must have for travelers. I have been using for about 2 years now.
It gets most of the things right, but it takes only details of 1 traveller and so it doesn't help with organising family trips. Also, information like eticket numbers aren't detected properly.
Nice application, it don't let me miss any flight and keeps remember me about missing reservations and things to do.
I am not crazy about these kind of software apps. However, I love this software app as it is so easy to use and accurate. You simply forward emails from any source and it puts it in order in a matter of seconds and with high degree of accuracy; i.e. it never failed to extract the information. I find it very useful to see my trip itineraries especially that I travel a lot both for business and pleasure and I find it very useful to retrieve information months after trips. Best of all, it is free!
Better than TripIt, by far. This app is incredibly easy to use, and I never have errors. I book my travel through a corporate travel agency and then forward my confirmation to WorldMate. Within minutes I get an email confirming the success of my new itinerary. I can then share a clear, concise itinerary with my family or anyone else I choose. I print the detailed itinerary to keep with me, just in case of tech problems. Everything can be viewed or modified either on the app or by web. Couldn't be easier!
I have no idea how I lived without it. Worried if it crashes so got it synced on 2 devices. I'll upgrade in a few months if it keeps being so awesome. Thanks creators
I've been using this up for a few years now. It keeps my travel organized! I have been using the free version which does not have calendar sync and flights update

So sad that this app is closing. The functionality is great and simple to use. You send an email, it syncs all aspects of your trip together, and you can edit manually if necessary. I've used it since switching to Android from Blackberry, and this is the closest I've found to the old BB Travel App. It has never let me down. Admittedly, I don't use it for flight updates, as this information can be sporadic even if u have the exclusive app for your particular airline. It syncs flights, cars, trains, even hotels - literally anything. Don't know where I'll find a replacement anywhere near as comprehensive this, free or subscription. :, (
