WorkflowMax for Android
Good platform but needs extras to be real good.. personally we need to be able to raise jobs and combine a quote and report with photos raised all in a document so it can be sent to a client. Currently we use WFM but are looking elsewhere. Lack of support (being able to actually talk to someone) is also is annoying.
Missing key usability festers such as Forgot My Password. Even when you get the right password, bit your account is locked out the error messages are unhelpful. Shame as zero typically produce such good products.
We've been waiting for years to see an app. Exciting that it is here and it certainly looks prettier than the mobile site, but is still pretty useless. If you want to actually manage a Job you still need to login to the full site.
Love the new sorting system. It would be perfect if we could easily pin or "star" certain jobs to the top of the list though.
Costs are not fully functional. Can only add costs if you have 'job costs edit' in your staff profile. Please allow staff that only have 'job costs new' in their profile to add costs on this app.
I would like to be able to add clients and quotes from the app. If I meet with a new client and they want a quote it would be nice to enter their contact info and quote/job parameters from the app. Hopefully that will be coming soon.
Needs to have the ability to action a quote and a job when onsite also having the ability to add photos and documents.
Please include leads/quotes tab asap. Many thanks
Does everything I need it to do on my phone, and those whinging about it doesnt do this or that, use the pc. An app is never meant to replace the original, let alone the 1st release. Ive been waiting for an android release for some time now and its eveything I hoped it would be, easy, uncluttered and to the point. Im looking forward to updates allowing cosmetic changes like searching by job number rather than job description. Happily satisfied - Adam
I agree with the comments below. You can't add times. It isn't very intuitive. No purchase order function. I have been using wfm 4 years at least. It's easier to use Chrome browser and add a short cut to phone desktop. I look forward to much improvement. I use it in a service capacity as a tradesman. Wfm is not perfect but most often it works ok. A function that would be useful would be a pdf to jpg converter to issue purchase orders or invoices via mms. Not all people use email.
It works like a dream for the things it's intended to do. I see lots of negative comments about things it doesn't do. But when taken in context of what it's designed to do for this first release version, I'm impressed and hopeful that future updates will bring extra functionality that works as well as this first release does. My only criticism of this first version is the timeout on needing to login again. I'd like to have an ability to define the time-out time, or more simply, it could be set to rely on my own screen lock-timeout of I want to secure my phone quickly. The ability to unlock with my finger print though means that this issue is only a minor one for me.
Very disappointing - everytime I go into another app to look up something (so I can enter in the time sheet) it keeps logging me out. Also, when entering a timesheet, it comes up with ALL the jobs listed in my company's database. Which normally, you'd be able to overcome using the search function - unfortunately this is also useless as it is very slow - by the time my client's name comes up my phone has gone into automatic lock, and when I go back into the phone, I have to login again - on top of that none of the draft entry is saved meaning that I have to try to input again. I gave up trying to use the timesheet - and ended up using Chrome browser in my phone to select my client and save a draft entry, before then using the app to edit the entry. It seems this is the only way it would work. However this seems a bit pointless - if I'm going to do that I might as well do it all in Chrome browser and not use the app at all. I wasn't expecting state of the art, however I expected it to be at least functional, which, to me, the app is not.
You can't add times by the week? It doesn't remember your last selected client and job? Says submitting instead of saving when you save each day? All contrary to the web app and make it tedious to use.
Incomplete, erratic search results, not thought through at all. Needs dramatic improvement urgently, exceptionally disappointing given Xero's primary product.
Good start. It's a shame people are whining about this app as it's only just been released. People seem to forget that it takes a while to introduce new functionality, it really isn't that bad for version 1! I would like to see leads and have the ability to add new leads on the go. Users bitching about how useless it is - you managed before the app, maybe giving constructive criticism will make the Devs more likely to work harder for you? - just thought. Edit 19th March 2027. Thanks for the reply. It's good that you can add tasks but even better if you could also re-order them.
Disappointing and hopeless. When entering an expense you are unable to select from your predefined descriptions/ cost codes. This means any expense is allocated to a default category and cannot be subsequently changed. This is useless for anyone who integrates to Xero or another accounts package. Turning the description entry into a drop down box (not an annoying lookup like the mobile website) would sort this out and actually give this part of the app some use. Please can you make a similar change to the mobile site too. Please try harder wfm.
Good start, finally an android app and an easy way to submit timesheets. Please add creating PO's via the app. This would be an awesome feature to do while at a supplier.
Tried using app for entering timesheets on a Samsung Galaxy S7 and also S5 and neither worked. Tried on iPhone 5 and worked. Seems like app does not work on certain phones like Samsung?
I like the desktop presentation of this software but find the app short of the promise of a complete interface for field activities ie quoting, creating new items, editing, updating and support don't make for easy operation - the idea I get is that data will be only be entered on the desktop version for this pgm n not out on the road from going through the app.
It's OK for an app. Would be good to have the option to record time in units rather than start/finish. Also would be good to be able to filter/sort client/Jobs by manager to make them easier to find.
Very buggy and slow. Search function doesn't work. I don't think this port was ready for release.
Easier to use than the desktop version but it's missing IMPORTANT fields. Need to go back to the desktop version before submitting the timesheet in order to fill out those fields. Please fix.
What is the purpose of the "security code" if it is going to insist on username and password each logon?
This is still crap. When will you guys get your act together. You can't even use WFM on the smart phone using a Web browser as it won't Grant PC version for whatever reason. Frustrated and fed up. Works okay with IPHONE which is no help.
Needs alot more functionality to be useful, worked ok for timesheet entry for a short time, now continually crashes on startup.
Needs more functionality. Create jobs. Delete jobs. Adhoc jobs and time. Assigning staff and
It's a first release. Obviously basic functionality and needs work, but I think it looks like the beginnings of a nice app.
Totally perplexed as to how to add a task time to a job
Works great for PS industry, all we need. Great start, hopefully more futures will be added as time goes
Utterly useless. Can't add time.
I can't do purchase orders on my phone
Unable to find client names quickly enough
Finger print scan access doesn't work. So really no point having this on a phone. Uninstalled.
App is ok. Two main annoyances. 1: it regularly (a couple of times per week) forgets all my login information - meaning that I have to enter password, pass code and register fingerprint again - quite annoying as it will happen in the middle of the day. 2: for entering time the app should have a list of recently used clients/jobs/tasks at the top of the list, rather than having to scroll through the whole list every time.
Have a galaxy s7 and can not actually enter times on app due to the 0 being halfway out of screen at the bottom. Completely useless until this is fixed.
Portrait only? Come on, this is 2017, forcing portrait is either lazy or malicious, in either case I cannot rate this product low enough to express my dissatisfaction at how crappy it performs on a tablet!
Guys. We use this program for work religiously. The mobile site is closing so I got the app, but I need to be able to do purchase orders. Please help
It's a good idea. I would like to be able to do timesheets in week view though.
With no ability to quote or confirm/communicate with clients this app just doesn't deliver

Great in concept but needs fleshing out a little (can add time per job, but now way of seeing current time / outstanding billable costs). Took a while for the app to collate jobs and clients but up to date now. Very basic feature set - recent comment from Xero indicates they're working on a lengthy feature roadmap though
