Have had this app through four well used iOS and Andriod devices and never encountered any issues. Go one, get it! A perfectly good dictionary to have.

This is the best dictionary I have ever used with the most simplified user interface. I have been using this since 2008 on my laptop and now on my phone. Just love it. The best thing is, it's ad free. Thanks to the developers for this app. Great work.

I am inclined to give review bcause of one feature which is it gives some correct suggestion when you type wrong spelled word, just like google search. And it helps very much to find word. Well done. Thanks

Very nice App one should have this App. But if you look into more words you will be confused. I feel your English should be very simple and understandable to other, In terms of speaking are reading............... Still i recommend to have such an wonderful App

Started using it on my PC, ended up needing it on my Android. As a college student of English, I found this one extremely helpful in defining and remembering bulky vocabulary.

The app is good! But I was able to search random words when there was a option for so. But now after I updated the app I cannot find the 'random word' option. What 's the reason?

This app has helped me improve vocabulary as well as acts as easy assistant for quick word lookup. It is one of my must have apps !!

Well this is uptodated dictionary and the good thing about this is the google links and hindi-eng shabdkosh links that if u want to know the detailed meaning or hindi meaning you will be instantly connected to that but that works in online mode. While the rest of the features in offlune mode has proved satisfactory actually more than that and it's so user friendly. No bugs no ads no intetruption.

I've been using this for years and has never let me down. I've never-ever found a word that was not included in this dictionary! Usability and search tools are best! Simply the best. Keep up the good work!

Excellent dictionary. .! I've used book dictionaries all my adult life but this is so well thought through it has helped a answer many an unresolved difficulties I've had with certain words.

For me, English is not my mother tongue - hence Word Web has been my companion since many many years and likely to be with me for as long as am on my two toes :-)

I've been using this software for 8 years (in my PC), and can't find other dictionary software that is a match for this in terms of database and UI. Simply perfect!

Hi there Your app is really good and I use it all the time despite having four Oxford dictionaries. I would like you to introduce a feature wherein the user can share the bookmarked words alongwith their meanings. Right now the user can only share the word list and not their meanings. It would be very helpful for quick revision. Thanks and keep up the good work

It gets clipboard content but does not have a shortcut on notification bar or a floating bubble (as Google translator) to allow easy access to the dictionary . To get job done user needs to find the app on app home screen, start it and then get the information. Please implement the notification access even if you just do it on a premium payed version. I will gladly pay for that. App does not provide a fast exit to return to previous app. Please place a button to exit it on app top bar. Unfortunately back button goes not easily exit. Exit button is hidden on overflow button when it should be on app status bar

Overall the app is great...The only feature I m missing is audio pronounciations. Should have included in the same app or an option to enable them, if u feel it will make app heavy. Was just wondering why I need to install separate app for that.

The best virtual dictionary available. I have been on the search for a dictionary for a long time. I'd first stumbled upon Wordweb on the net for my desktop. Soon after Android phones came into being, I'd searched and installed this on my phone too. Functions offline.

It's great to have an offline dictionary, and the interface works well. But some of the reference pages use the word their supposed to be defining in key parts of all of their definitions, which makes them nonsensical to people who do not know those words.

It's undoubtedly an awesome app, so i wished to use its paid version ie. wordweb audio.. paid 99 rs. for that but couldn't get that.. don't why am being asked to pay the same again.. i have mailed to the developer too.. hope my issue gets fixed soon.. ☺

A best dictionary both for your desktop and cell phone. I have been a fan of it since my college... I mean m really old guy I.e. since 2000 decade. It's a best companion and thanks to word web it's again my companion on the go.

I don't think any other dictionary can be so perfect. I also have this on my PC too. It does its job perfectly. And yeah it's free. You can find the words even without the internet connection.

The app icon is so ugly it hurts my eyes... Would have enjoyed the ability to set a custom colour for the interface. Not just blue, green and grey - seems simple enough to me... Would also be good if the top navigation strip (with the search, bookmarks, favourite and three dot icons) slides up and disappears when scrolling down a definition that is taller (longer) and does not all fit in a single screen - to make the UI a bit more dynamic and make better use of screen real estate. Otherwise arguably the best dictionary app on the play store, very fast and light and contains a vast number of definitions.

Before using this app, for many years I have been using the PC version. After buying an Android phone this was my go-to dictionary app. I have just one complain - it doesn't have word etymology. So you can't know the origin of the word. But being a free offline app with no ads - I don't really mind that.

I have tried many dictionaries, but this one is the most useful that I have come across. It is easy to use and free. There is functionality that you can buy to make it better, but as a stand alone dictionary it is still great. The thing I love most is the word suggestion ability it gives you. I look up words sometimes just to check on spelling and many dictionaries will only offer suggestions of other words that have the first part of the word spelled the same, but are limited in their suggestions. What if you got one letter wrong early on? Many dictionaries will not give you any help in this. This one does. It makes additional suggestions of words that you may have wanted. It has saved me a lot of frustration in finding that elusive word that I could not seemed to spell just so to get other dictionaries to give me the word. It also has a great cross referencing feature to look up words from other sources such as Google, Wikipedia and Wiktionary. What I use often is the cross reference to Chambers Thesaurus. The Thesaurus is not free, but not expensive and well worth the money. This version as mentioned is a free app with no ads and great functionality with further expansion option

Everytime I open it downloads sound files. Hence you can only get to see or hear translation after it downloads 150 MB data again. Too bad for a paid app

It gives exact word meanings of all words. One problem is that it doesn't give pronunciation facility. so it won't help one who is in his quest to learn spoken English.

So far it is the best dictionary app I have ever used . but you need to change the icon to something materialistic. The icon is not looking good on home screen.so please change the icon so that it would be nice to place it on home screen

I can't thank you enough the team working at WordWeb. It initially helped me with the meanings and now, it's helping me with correct pronunciations. Keep it up guys !

links to Wiktionary, but cannot be told more than to look for Chambers dict ?? Example: "ani" entry in inadequate, but Wiktionary entry is fine for Crotophaga. Will get 5 when can add note to an entry such as "ani" OR LINK to free flashcards or add foreign language equivalent term as learner list.

The Only App That is a perfect dictionary. I have been u using this app from last 3 years nothing has changed not even a single feature..Need some smart features like one tap dictionary just copy a word and get meaning or may be even just selecting a word like Google translator provides And if it possible then make a feature that we can get a notification per day from Bookmarked words or History.. please reply this we all need these features in this great Dict We all need these kinda smart Updat waiting....

The best dictionary app I've tried to date. I have almost 10 dictionaries in various languages installed and this one beats all of them. The only thing I am missing is etymological data, I can live without it, but sometimes it's really useful.

its amazing and it also has scientific names of organism that i didnt expect from this app. it had great effect in my studies. plz add a feature of select and speak so that we can get pronounciations of words

I love this handy dictionary. It's not that they aren't much more dictionaries available is that this one have a large database that find all my words I look for unlike some other dictionaries. And the good part is that it updates with new words added. A+++++ The interface is very attractive and user friendly

This is a superb dictionary especially since it works offline. It is far better than the versions of Webster dictionary available here which bombard the user with irrelevant ads. This dictionary also with Wiktionary when you are online. Thank you to the authors.
