English Spanish Dictionary

I loved it but it has not been available for several weeks. Why not?

The features of this exhaustively comprehensive dictionary app are tremendous, including an indicator of how common a word or phrase is, regionalisms, countries of origin, pronunciation, etc.

Brilliant.

I have had the unabridged version on my iPad for years, just got a new Android phone and this was my first purchase. I find it indispensable. (note:it crashes occasionally and it is not clear to me what are the differences with the unabridged, since the installations are the same size according to Google play store)

Best dictionary available and after a couple of initial teething problems the best and fastest and most helpful support I've ever encountered.

It will not open since the upgrade despite 3 attempts to reload the update. I got one week's use of the program before the update. My wife's phone received a message unable to upload. And yes I have tried the new October 13 update. It has progressed from "will not open" message to a blank screen.*** One week later the latest update seems to work. From 1 star up to 3 stars. I will reevaluate after I use it more.

Almost everything need in a digtal dictionary. One promvlem us that it is Missing the previous app to sd feature. The app is large enough for this to be a must have feature. Also needs dictionary intro pages to introduce terms noun colloquial. In addition there needs to pronunciation guide. Simply, check a page spanish dictionary. Still this the best digital dictionary to date.

I appreciate the quick update to remedy the crash bug in yesterday's major release, and I'm looking forward to using to redesigned app once I can actually open it. Thanks for the great work! *Edit* Yes, I followed the recommendation and uninstalled first before updating.

Translator doesn't say if the noun is masculine or female. That is very important in Spanish.

I speak, read and write Spanish after learning it in the Air Force while stationed in Panama. I continually am trying to improve upon what I learned. This app is a huge help! It is simple enough to look up phrases and words and they actually make sense in Spanish. I particularly enjoy the slang translations.

I had this on my iPhone, now on droid maxx. Offline access is perfect for when I'm traveling abroad and have no internet connection. So far I've experienced no issues with this app.

Thanks for addressing the bugs I reported! Often, the keyboard still disappears when I expect to see it, but the app is now well worth its price. I'm using it on my iPad, iPhone, and Note 3. I gave it 5 stars for the iOS versions, but the Android version doesn't have the "Did you mean?" feature for misspelled words. When do you plan to support fuzzy searching on Android, as you do on iOS?

Best dictionary that I tried and I have tried many. Has every feature and possibly more words than its competitors.

Had it on the iPhone. SPECTACULAR dictionary. Love hearing words when unsure of pronunciation. Naturally wanted it on Android, Only 4 stars because l read in bed. In iPhone, there was a black background option. That's way better if you eventually want to sleep, Will give 5 stars once this is done. In Samsung Note 3 there is one glitch. If it locks up and you can't get it to accept a new word, just click on the Favorites tab. When you go right back to the Dictionary tab it works fine. 

It has so many words and phrases its great. My two complaints are that it does not point out masculine or feminine and the layout can be a little confusing. I think you have to learn to read it.

Extensive definitions provided in English and Spanish. Extremely helpful for conversation and correspondence.

I like the extensive database and ease of use. The word phrase entries are very helpful. Lookups are fast on my Galaxy Nexus.

The dictionary is great, with everything you could wish for but the app itself is very flawed. Too slow; hangs itself up and needs to be reinstalled ; bugs (eg. If you misspelled word it takes u to the word 'cancel' or starts an endless loop of cancel screens) ;'go back in search' function not good; if many synonyms difficult to tap the one you want

If you want to find idioms/phrases/expressions this is the best I have found.

don't waste your time and money trying other dictionaries, this one got everything you need. I've tried other dictionaries but I was disappointed with them. With this one I'm completely satisfied. very useful.

This is exactly what i need super easy and user friendly

This application used to work great. Worked fine on my Droid maxx razor. Now on my Samsung galaxy s Blaze. I can not look up a single word because the application closes or goes to black screen. Freezes up my phone and i have to reboot and not open this app or I have to reboot again. Can't even find the correct li k to properly report a bug. Update broke it for me. Scared to try the more expensive version. Thanks hope it gets fixed. Thanks.

Stop looking for others now. I have purchased two other English Spanish Dictionaries including the competent one by Oxford. However, none of the others can come close to this one in terms of ease of use, total number of words as well as phrases, common usage examples, complete verb conjugations and automated pronunciation. It is worth every penny and more.

This is probably the only es-en dictionary that has the following features: full conjugations for all the verbs, examples, fuzzy search of words (it will suggest you correct spelling if you make a mistake. So this means you can search Spanish words without having to worry about typing the accents). It also auto detects whether you want to lookup es>en or en>es meaning; you won't need to manually select that as in other dictionaries. I only wish the app followed the Holo designing guidelines.
