The app and the approach are great, but the world list contains so many unnecessary words that even the most advanced learners don't need it. So you have to use some another most frequency words list instead of the current list. And add a sentence example for every word. Then it will deserve 5 stars! .

A70%
by A####:

Nice idea but a lot of the words are insane (as in useless). Also, it should include genders and examples to grant 5 stars.

M70%
by M####:

Very good application, but some of the words are really useless, and other very important ones are not included. They should really really change the word list into one based on frequency of use. It would also be very advisable to let the user choose which practice modes to use. For instance, I would like to focus on german to english, not english to german, but current options do not let you do so.

Definitely would appreciate being able to remove words from the study list. Also where am I able to purchase more words? I am unable to find this section of the app

Wonderful app for learning vocabulary. It would be even better if the articles were included in the audio as well since it's such a biggie when learning German.

... but the UI is quite horrible, thus the 4* :)

M70%

Sehr nütlich

D70%

Good app to build up your vocabulary, although it doesn't specify what context the word means. Example: Studieren (to study) means to be studying at a university level, not just regular studying.

Suggestion: Though I have many apps to improve my vocabulary, this has helped me the most and the best. However I face an issue now. Since I try to recollect only the words and not the gender, I am not able to use the words when needed. I would like to suggest the approach to include the gender while recollecting as well. Thanks.

Las aplicaciones de wlingua son una buena opción para ampliar vocabulario, sólo falta que agreguen más idiomas (sueco o francés sería excelente).

Simply genius, so far I spent 84 hours and learned 735 words :).. though I'm not sure about timing, " I don't know if time keeps on ticking when I switch to another application ;)

Sehr gute App. Hab sie mir gerade heruntergeladen aus Langeweile und ich muss sagen, dass sie sehr gut ist

I love the fact that you can see the amount of hours you've studied, the number of words you've assimilated and those you've yet to study and of course, the amount of perfect scores. It really motivates me to obsessively score perfect marks every time. Also, among other German language learning apps, the pronunciation here is clear, not too fast and available in both male and female. Many Germans have praised my wide vocabulary ;) I'll keep on scoring full marks

I think it would be better if after checking a word it would be shown with article. Articles are very important in German.

U70%
by U####:

Would appreciate some revision time between levels to go through what I got wrong, especially since the audio doesn't cover the word genders. That said, great vocabulary building tool with bonus native speaker clips, which Duolingo sorely lacks.

No articles, and you can't delete words since you put them in study session

The photos/pictures help a lot for the ease of learning the words. You get enjoyment looking at those pictures while you learn and remember the lists of new words. If there are other similarly designed apps teaching comprehension of German articles, news, reviews, books and so on, that will greatly speed up the progress of learning German. I would like to give a suggestion : please include the genders when pronouncing the words. That will help familiarise the sounds of the words to a learner's ears. Thanks.

A good primer for vocabulary, but double check with google translate as some words were unnecessarily long, such as ein Treppenausschnitt for a staircase, when ein Treppen would do. The other means a staircase cutout. Also mind the gender of definite articles which is essential and I wish it would sound out along with the noun. The assimilation process is pretty good and requires no immediate memorization. The word tracking is device specific so there's no progress synchronization between your phone and tablet.
