Learn Spanish - Español for Android
I have wanted to learn to speak Spanish for many years, but I did so poorly in Spanish class in high school (oh, so many years ago!) that I never had the confidence to try again. This app has actually given me hope that I am not hopeless after all. It's so well designed, and fun too!
Add the instrument to build up & collect personal vocabulary and to train it in several game form ways. Look how lingvoleo did that with their English app. Will be good if it is linked with some good dictionaries like abbyy lingvo so you could add the words from dictionary to this app & vice versa. What is also missed is some interesting media & social content. Would be great if the app will recommend you some articles to read or watch a movie or listen to a song & go through its lyrics or discuss smth.
I started with Rosetta Stone, added Duolingo to my phone, but Wlingua is the app that is actually teaching me the language. I am someone who learns best when I understand what is going on, and don't do well with simple repetition exercises. Wlingua explains gender, tenses and conjugations. Rosetta Stone expects you to pick them up from conversation. Duolingo more or less glosses over them. Also, the app is simple and easy to install and use. Highly recommended.
This app is amazing. I would definitley recommend it. So i started the trial. And was gutted when it was over. Im hesitant about paying for apps. But i took the risk (you have 30 days to change your mind) And yes. £50 quid for a year (but you can get cheaper monthly options) and i love learning spanish at my own pace on the go or on my laptop. It takes you step by step. Testing you often. Explaining all the grammer and giving you reading tasks. I would definitly recommend this if you want to learn or improve you spanish. :)
I've used duo lingo for a year and it's great but I felt it was lacking in certain areas especially after you have been using it a while. Was weak in areas such as formal explanations, grammar, vocabulary and other areas. This app does a better job so I feel that it is a great next step. Thanks!
I'm just learning Spanish all by myself. The first week of trial gave me enough classes that now with repetitions I can move forward for free. I need to repeat to learn and I find this app very useful. İn time as I progress and get used to the language more, I can consider buying it. It is a very good application.
This is a really great teaching tool. A couple of things need to be fixed. The feedback email does not work. The language buttons are too close together. It's hard to play the correct audio. There needs to be a button to restart a lesson. Lessons can't restart until the entire lesson is completed. Still, this I'd the best tool I've found so far, and I'm learning a lot.
I took Spanish for 2yrs in high school and even that didn't give me as much background and explanation as this app has in the 3 days I've had it! Traveling soon to a major Spanish area so I figured I'd do some catching up. Very pleased with my choice, would recommend to others
I'm a beginner at Spanish. I've tried many other apps to learn Spanish, although, the apps are great, some apps that I used usually lack in certain part. But Wlingua is an app that really teach me Spanish. I get new vocabs, grammar explanation and exercises all at once. Well, I'm not really know if there're any lacks in this app because I find it very enjoyable and educational. It's a must have app for Spanish learner! :)
I have been using another app for a while until I came across this one, and now I'm ready to delete the other one! I love that this one has helpful explanations for matching number/gender, as well as verb conjugations. That's where I think the "immersion" learning style falls short.
I've never been great with languages but with Spanish I have persevered spending a few minutes each day for the past 2 years. This App is entirely different from most others I have used and really makes you think. I am using it in conjunction with other programs and books - I'm confident that this will help me improve and look forward to putting some of the words I am learning into practice.
I greatly enjoy the variety of approaches offered, including grammar, reading comprehension, ear training, and vocabulary testing. Unfortunately, there are a number of errors in the program that throw a wrench in the learning process, such as a few mispronounced words, no audio for a few words in ear training, reversed translations (e.g., cat and dog = dog and cat), and questions in reading comprehension that are not answered in the reading. Despite these issues, I have learned a great deal through regular study with this program.
But you do have to pay to keep it awesome. It loses it's best features when the trial of premium ends. But I have used Rosetta Stone and duo lingo and this is far more effective if you really want to know the language. It's cheaper than Rosetta and better, and just better than duo lingo. Not better without paid features though.
I am using this app to learn as much Spanish as possible. I am also involved in another course for learning Spanish, but I have to say I'm finding this app very useful. I like the fact I can go over my lessons at any time, it's also has review lessons so your not forgetting what your learning in previous sections. All in all, very good so far.
I've been using Duolingo forever but found that it's weakness lies in not providing explanations when changing various verb forms and conjugations. Sure there are discussions available to view, but sometimes I find those to be full of idle jibber-jabber that I need to spend extra time sifting through before I get a concrete answer to my confusion. This app provides a great guide throughout each course explaining why the various forms of words and conjugations are changing. I now use both apps.
The app is better than the others that I have tried. I initially liked it so much that I paid for premium access. Unfortunately my frustrations with the app have me on the verge of quiting. The reading exercises have no storyline, just tons of people and details about the people. The fill in the blank exercises give no feedback on wrong answers. What good does it do me to know that my answer is wrong without knowing why?
After using another excellent app for 18 months I decided to give Wlingua a whirl. I took the assessment and started on level 2.15... and didn't fare well! Although I could just about understand a comprehension exercise, I was struggling, so I decided to start from the beginning. The exercises are easy and upto now I'm 100% but I've already learned some new words and the explanations are so easy to understand. I think I'm hooked!
It's a good app but often the answers do not correspond to the text?? A few things need to be fixed. Don't send mail you will never get an answer. In premium Pdfs are offered, Where are they?
I love the auditory and visual components. And that there was a beginning assessment so people with some background don't have to go through stuff already known. Overall, looks like a smart way to learn Spanish for free!
Many years ago I spoke Spanish very well, but as time has passed I haven't used it and have forgotten most of what I knew. So far this app has done a great job of refreshing my memory and I'm sure as the lessons progress it will only get better.
Even though I am taking Spanish 1 in high school, the teacher is bad and the rest of the class does not progress as fast as me. This app has helped so much in not only learning new nouns, but understanding adjectives, too. I can't wait to ace all my tests in Spanish class this year!
Better than rosetta stone. This app teaches you the basics from the ground up. It seemingly gives you all of the fundamentals and builds on them. Wlingua works with you and checks up on you to make sure you haven't forgotten anything. I can't believe there's so much knowledge given here for free. Outstanding.
Organized in a way that concepts are easy to master. Other language learning software seems so random that you come away only knowing vocabulary but no rules. With this program I understand the conjugations and sentence structure so I have a solid foundation to build upon.
Its awesome, muy bein !! Sometimes previous text is repeated instead of new one. But its corrected few moments later. I have learnt Spanish easily with this great app. Recommended for all Spanish aspirants. Good work. Gracias!
Definitely worth paying for. I am now able to read books in Spanish, listen to podcasts and have conversations with Spanish friends. But you will have to sit down and seriously learn with the app to get there. I always took notes of everything learned with wlingua and so far with great success.
I paid for a 1 month subscription and it did get pretty monotonous after a while. The reading section was always a bit too much effort. But what I'm really annoyed about is losing the lessons that I paid for now the subscription has ended.
There are a lot of Spanish apps out there but wlingua is one of the few that actually teaches you Spanish by explaining the Grammer, spelling, and pronunciation. On top of that they have a helpful and friendly customer support. Definitely recommend this app!
Has so many sentences to listen to and keeps repeating the same vocabulary words throughout the chapter so that they stick with you. Great method of teaching words or expressions and incorporating them in text afterwards. Includes readings to explain more in depth what you're learning.
I'm using it to keep my skills sharp now that I finished school. The knowledge test at the beginning was unfair for me, so I have to start from the beginning even after 7 years of Spanish classes, but I'm happy with how the app works
I am horrible at remembering Spanish but this app actually makes it easier than most I have tried. It's even easy for my 4 year old to follow along with which is saying a lot!
I tried Duolingo but it had a lot of useless work and phrases early on. How often do I have to say the elephant drinks milk? Never! This app uses much more practical vocabulary and explains more about plurals and gender & number agreement.
I had learned spanish for one year in school, and I was trying to learn it by myself after graduation, but it seemed not very efficient. This app is really helpful, with it systematical lessons I could always review what I have learnt and what still needs learning.
Will have you addicted in less than 5 minutes. If every class was taught like this app everyone in the world would be speaking Spanish. Its fun immersive interactive informative.....and some. Even though Im currently taking an intermediate Spanish class and have been practicing for years I started from the scratch and I was still learning new words in the beginning. Never purchased a phone app outside of Spotify but I will be purchasing this.
Too easy to learn, basically for dummies. There are too many lessons repeating the same thing again and again. They can be easily combined. They should be somewhat more challenging. Besides the recorded speaking is way too slow. I am not sure if I buy another 6 months.
I wish I had this in school. This app lets the lessons stick. The tests aren't easy. You really have to get it to answer the questions. It keeps checking on your ability to retain what you have already learned. I love it. I'm excited to learn more.
Love this app. Super simple and fun yet very educational. Wish I could work on pronunciation and hearing better but just a beginner right now can't expect perfection right off!
Its great app. BUT. I would like to have known that to get "explained grammar" after I run out of Free Premium time I have to pay. Sorry, bit let down.
Everything about this app is great for me...(knock on wood, lol). The excercises are easy to follow, I can go back to review the notes/lessons and be able to repeat as needed. I will recommend this for someone on the go and need a quick refresher.
Please make some apps for other langages too like: Italian, German....the only problem is that I think it doesn't have enough exercises to help us memorize the words more effectively...anyway, the teaching method is the best and I hope you decide to make some apps with the same method for other languages and also with more exercises.....it'd be much better...thank you so much
