About WJC Alert
WJC Alert usage is restricted to registered users who have been authorised by a WJC-affiliated community organization that has adopted use of the NowForce system.
WJC Alert enables real-time communication with that community organization which may then choose to dispatch the optimal responder – based on proximity, availability and experience – to the scene of the reported incident.
This application enables:
- registered individuals to use their mobile devices to send an immediate distress signal or report a crime/hazard/emergency
- security personnel or first responders to transform their smart phones into mobile data terminals, receiving alerts, navigation, and status updates of incidents in their vicinity.
Key Features - SOS Alert & Incident Reporting
- Send an immediate distress signal when you're in danger: Automatically connect with community services by swiping the SOS button. The distress signal can be transmitted in silent or regular mode, and if desired, simply by opening the app.
- Report crimes, hazards, emergencies, and more: Let your community know when, where and what kind of help is needed. Add pictures or live video streaming to give community security personnel or first responders advance information before they arrive on scene.
- See something, say something: Alert your community to potential threats and incidents. Share images, live video streaming and critical data to assist your community security group.
- Receive notifications of safety or security problems near your location from your community.
Please note:
Use of the WJC Alert app is subject to the terms of the End User License Agreement (EULA) contained within it.
This application is not intended to replace, nor is it connected to, your local emergency service providers.
Coverage is dependent on your mobile/cell phone’s network and GPS connection.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
