Wire - Private Messenger

I have an Android, kids have iPhone so we can't iMessage. I searched for a family friendly messenger app and so far this is it. To wiretap developers. One thing you should upgrade is when using the writing text feature make that come up as a animated message so when the other person receives it, it will look like I'm writing it on their phone. I believe iMessage does this. Also some of the gifs are X rated and I havnt found a way to stop them from showing on my kids phones so that option would be great to.

I dig it, but an AMOLED black mode would be a nice touch. A lot of AMOLED devices have uneven grays, so the dark theme doesn't look so great on some phones.

The app seems great but every time it says the connection is "low" it beeps n then all voice stops for awile. I tried on cellular and on wifi it still does it. It has lots of fun stuff on it but if the main thing it's supposed to do doesn't work properly it's not useful

Can't call in landscape orientation. The call doesn't work in landscape on my android tablets/phones. That's amazing that there is this limitation still.

It was working good but now a days both audio & video aren't work good after connection , please improve it while other apps like wire are working normally.

Msg doesn't get delivered often...pictures also has trouble sharing...

Great, great, great app, better than hangouts for voice and video quality, I wish it survived for years to come... It is a bit buggy, especially on cluttered Wi-Fi... Messages typed may not show up in the dialog, had to retype them, I hope the interface improves in time, devil is in the detail. Overall, a great concept, I hope the commercial solution will not be too pricey.

Please, we need to get acknowledged when someone is ONLINE or when not. And plz add a way to set Group icons or DPs. The best messenger to me anyway, and the night mode is also the best. Thanks to Wire Swiss GmbH.

Unable to send images about 40% of the time. Or the other party doesn't receive it. Options for "download always" is toggled on as well.. (Android 7.0 Lg aristo) non_root Edit: 7.9.34.Q (Google play service vesion)

I love wire, some feedback from me: why previous post keep popping up all of sudden even though I didn't do any re post  And picture keep sending automatically more than once when you post a picture

Very good

It's a great app so far. I love the user interface. Very minimalistic and simple. However, in the conversation/thread of a person you are chatting with, it's too cluttered and busy. I would like to suggest to make the send and receive messages alot more distinguished. For instance the received message on the left side of the screen and the sending message on the right. Also, can timestamps be shown on always? Otherwise great app! Please make the screen not too cluttered.

A bit unstable, but I like what it's going for. I just wish it was written in a lower level language, everything feels like I'm wading through cruft, and everything feels like it could be much more optimized, especially on desktop.

Sometimes friends don't get messages I send. Consistently uses 3x more battery that anything else on phone, even if I only send a couple messages in a day. But it does check a lot of boxes, and the desktop app is handy.

Great communication app. Have some glitches but developers are always willing to solve them. Excellent quality, great security.

After the last update the connection to the servers is blocked in Iran. But one older version still works. Please switch the servers back for us again

It only works in portrait mode so you'll only see a narrow band of the other party if they use a computer.
