Xradio ADS-B Receiver for Android
Works properly since new version, thanks!
No map coverage of easten Europe
Is there a app that can be used over the network? I run rtl dongles on a rpi.
Not work on R820T2 dongle with Rtl-sdr driver (?!)
A great app.. best Android aviation app!
Great!works just as advertised. Rf folks helpful! You can enhance safety for the price of a couple gallons of fuel. Besides..fun to view the beached whales(airliners) on the fish finder.
Tons of useful info! Looking forward to future updates.
Able view notams and metars
Used to be simple but now is full of trash data
Excellent
Good, ads don't bothering me, but didn't find stop button once it starts?
LG GpadF rtl_sdr please add a stop button to release driver and close program.
Crashes every time I open the map on Samsung S5. :( Seems to allow you to see the data but after clicking "map" it crashes.
Clever little app..
On a phone there is only one line of info display regardless of what you set the map reduction size to, I plan to use this at an air show, this oversight is a shame. Portrait mode would be welcome for this situation.Additionally this app cannot coexist with SDR Touch due to driver collisions. Annoying!
I gets the data but I quickly observed a few issues: - Map always center on Florida. => Why not center on the "last used" position or even better, center on the average of the received ADS-B positions. - Text display not really usable (very large font) - Squawk does not show the actual squawk (4 octal digits), but rather the call-sign.
Very useful
I have a roof mount ADS-B antenna Connecting the Dongle to my PC it shows 23 aircraft 14 of those are displayed on the map (as not every plane transmits Lat & Lon) Using the dongle on the phone (same Antenna) I see 2 planes! So I assume that the software has some decoding issues Using "the other Android" ADS-B app, all 14 aircraft display There is also no button to stop the app (need to kill it) All in all a great idea if it worked
This software works well and is well maintained with frequent updates and bug fixes as the author finds them.
worked the first time it was installed.but since that time, it never works as it seems to have lost its driver. So I cannot recommend this product at this time as there seems to be a driver problem, if this can be sorted soon. Good, but until then keep your money in your pocket!
Works well. I only get the standard map, others (IFR,VFR) don't work. Trails on the aircraft would be nice, as would colours for altitude.
Installed, have have rtl driver installed and dogleg works with other rf apps but not this one u installed and had refund , just says no driver? Would try again if you can fix , thanks
Worked a few times on my kitkat 4. X. X gs3 and now crashes almost as soon as it begins analyzing packets. And I can no longer get a refund. Very unhappy. Suggest you avoid this if you have a kitkat device. The other FREE adsb receiver software works flawlessly. So there is no issue with the hardware.
I saw the plane above my area
Zenfone 6 with generik usb sdr rtl "no driver" show status
Any plans for E4000 tuner support?
Detects the RTL SDR dongle but since it's a E4000 and not a 820t it does not want to use it . Would be great to have E4000 support like with the standard RTL SDR driver
Works perfect but a bit hard to use. Map is kinda ugly. I hope you can integrate datas to be used with google earth
Galaxy s3 with a cheap RTL on an otg cable. I get data fine but none of the map layers. Keep up the great dev.
Have to add my opinion of using a standard driver. Worked with other sdr apps. Read comment where it conflicts with sdr touch, but had tried on device with no other sdr apps. 1 check because a pay for app is completely non functional. If there were a demo version I would not rate it until it could actually be used/tested.
Any plans for E4000 tuner support?
Using a generic dtv dongle - works ok BUT prone to crashing on loading maps and aircraft location appears on map aprox 100 km westward of actaul position.
Crashes every time I open the map on Samsung S5. :( Seems to allow you to see the data but after clicking "map" it crashes.
All aircrafts are somewhere 100km east of where they should be. Coordinates are incorrect too.
Clever little app..
Works well on my Galaxy S5. Looking forward to future developments.
Had a few problems setting up because of driver conflicts between other SDR apps but as long as you never tick "use this driver as default" then they all coexist. why didn't I give it a 4/5 ? upon reflection....needs screen rotation Support Snail trails too fat on map overlay (flight radar 24 nailed this) and no callsigns on aircraft where known. This needs more aircraft data too or the ability for the user to add their own ? (Txt file?) I'm looking forward to future releases though. Keep it up ! :-)
This app works on my toshie tab and samsung phone. HOWEVER, the planes are still well over 100km out on the map. I know the app was only cheap, but still verry anoying and nowhere near par.. Would be a great app if t worked properly lol
A bug needs ironing out - currently, the aircraft are showing on the map as being a hundred or so kilometres further away than their true position. I noticed another Australian commented, saying they experience the same issue. Good work so far anyway, keep it up. I look forward to further updates... PS: My earlier issue with the app stating that my USB device had no driver, was solved by allowing the app to open via the dialogue box which appeared upon inserting the dongle.
