Superb app to found beautiful hiking trails, wherever you are! Very detailed maps. Easy to use. Walked about 10 trails from wikiloc and 9 were amazing places

In this new redesigned version I can't find option to save local copy, only export to cloud or messenger. Downloaded offline map from sdcard is not visible in app, keeps asking to download again... Apart from this it is a good app.

Heck what just happened? I used to love this app, it was perfect for downloading holiday maps and going out for long walks. Now half the screen is hidden by menu and search bars and I'm looking for a new simple map app.

You have to pay if you want to follow a trail whilst offline (no coverage), thanks for nothing, Google maps is more useful by far.

I have just uncovered a rather big problem! That was the first sentence of my last review. The problem referred to has been fixed and it is now possible to download maps to the SD Card. HOWEVER, the app now, despite the billing, utilises huge amounts of battery power. After only 3 hrs 45 mins of following a track it took my S8+ battery from 100 to 15 percent. That is not usable for following a track and is a lot worse than the previous version. Please fix!

New version has floating "Follow Trail" button that's always in the way. Opening app defaults to Explore, no way to change. Bottom toolbar too big and always in the way. Worse yet, if there is no connection the app is very slow to start! There's NOT gonna be a connection 15 miles in the deep woods! I use the downloaded topo. The other version was faster with more on screen info. Will find a way to remove & install previous version. I guess that will delete my hikes!!

Since the latest update the app will not use my devices gps. It insists on using the mobile network which costs me money. Going back to Map My Walk even though it's not so good but it is cost free.

The UI update is sensational! I've not seen such a dramatic improvement in any app. Very stylish now, losing no functionality. Congrats to the developers. When out hiking, rambling or cycling I use Wikikoc all the time. Being able to find, download and follow other people's tracks is reliable and they are usually plentiful and interesting. The app is also very good for creating and uploading. One missing feature is the ability to remove bits of track before (or after) uploading, for example if you started recording too early or stopped too late. However that is minor.
