WiFi Drawing Tablet

WiFi Drawing Tablet Free App

Rated 3.30/5 (378) —  Free Android application by Tommy Holmberg

About WiFi Drawing Tablet

Turn your android device into a wireless drawing tablet.

It won't replace a real graphics tablet because it doesn't register any pressure levels, but it makes it easier for you to draw on your computer.
The server software can be downloaded here http://tinyurl.com/nr8yanz . Install java (http://java.com/download/index.jsp) and doubleclick the WifiTabletServer.jar file, then start drawing.
If it does not connect, your firewall could be blocking java. Follow this video tutorial to allow java through the firewall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZOxgiCuOU4 .

I really like this it is working fine I have a note 3 so I can use the pen. Just one thing... I don't like how the lines disappear after you draw a couple (yes I set fade to 99999) of them because I can't tell where I'm drawing propaly... If you could change that or make it a option this would be perfect!

I finally could establish a connection. For some reason I couldn't see the points, when writing the IP-address. But now I wonder how this should work. I can't bring the cursor into position with hovering of my stylus, nor can I use the first finger for that. It always draws a line immediately. Almost forgot: I'm on Linux.

GREAT POTENTIAL! Pity this hasn't been updated in a while (May 2015 last update). Since this application has such potential! I like the option to undo and redo my drawings, like the possibility of drawing on pc with my phone. I also like the functionality with first and second finger - it is fast to get used to. But the application would do much better, if it had some server like unified remote and not based just on java. It is stuttering a lot, when you draw just a bit faster, lagging behind. Also - the mouse movement isn't as good as in unified remote for example. Pointer moves the same, but you are in the same "square" as your phone. So you move over the same area over and over and the pointer doesn't go further than that. I tried to use unified remote with the mouse input for the drawing - it was good and not stuttering/lagging, however it lacked the drawing native input (when you pull up the stylus and put a dot somewhere else on the phone, it will draw the dot on the place you want and not on the place you pulled stylus from) and undo/redo buttons. So if this app gets a better server without lags and better mouse movement, it will be a 5 star app and I'll gladly pay for it :)

I love this app! It takes some getting used to but it's awesome, especially if you don't want to commit to a full-blown wacom etc. Follow the directions on the .jar setup and you're good to go!

I really like this app, but I don't enjoy when you are drawing, the lines just fade. I would like it if there could be an update where you make the line fade optional. Thanks!

Installer with small footprint, breeze to install and no-brainer to use! Request: present fade uses a timer. Would be good to have a 2nd fade option triggered by pressing a button in top menu.

Help I don't know how to get it to work It keeps saying trying to connect even though I waited for a long time

Simple to install and setup--which is far more than I can say for all of the similar apps I've tried today. Seriously, thank you for making the PC-to-tablet connection process easy to figure out, and not require more than one simple app for each device to get it to work. I also really love the simple and clean interface within the tablet app itself; and while, yes, the control does take a little getting used to, once you get used to it it's actually pretty genius as it offers you full control over the PC cursor. The only thing that would make this better would be the addition of pressure-sensitivity; but, knowing that this is just meant to be a simple & effective way to get a quick, cheap drawing-tablet experience out of your Android tablet, I can't honestly rate this below 5 stars. It does exactly what it was designed for, and functions exactly as I needed! Thank you so much! :) EDIT: For the record; I am using a Lenovo Y70 Touch laptop which is running Windows 10; my PC art program of choice is Krita (powerful and free); my tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5; and I am using the Adonit JotPro stylus. With this setup, I'm getting phenomenal results--hope this info is useful!

You have to understand ip accesses. You may have to open ports. You have to run a java app. : You need a good stylus. Oh need autorotate. It works so well, though!

I had no troubles installing and using, but it does take some getting used to, having to hold down with a finger and then tap with the other. I tried using it for drawing, the response time is usually ok, but it sometimes jumps around thinking the finger I'm holding down with is where I want to draw, giving me straight lines I have to undo. Also how do I change the sensitivity? The default is quite slow/small movement.

It seems all the files when extracted are .class instead of having a .java to start the server. I couldn't find any .java to start up the server and see if it works. Please see if something is wrong so I may try to use this product. I downloaded the java per the link you provided, am on windows 10. When files are extracted, there is no .java to start. Thanks.

I am Not a designer or anything, but I just like to make some abstract art in Adobe Illustrator, I found on the internet that graphic designers use drawing tablets for free hand drawing, I thought of buying it,......... But wait, when I typed graphic design tablet, I found this app. This app works great Thanks a lot developer You saved a lot of money and time of mine.

Now that i know the problem with white screen 5* for you guys. I commonly use this app with offline wifi and so that explains the white screen. i kinda hope there would be another way to connect it to pc. but hey keep up the good work.

Doesn't work only when the selected program is the wifi tablet server. If you click another program it stops working but green receiver light is on. Does work as a mouse but can't click. Edit: it's all well and good that you've told me how to use it. But it doesn't work in photoshop. Doesn't work on the internet. Doesn't work on anything. Can only use it within the server app so it's great as something to use if you just want to move your mouse around the server app but useless for anything else.

Downloaded the latest java and servers but the app won't connect. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Two stars for promise.

I love the app, the concept and everything. I got it installed and working but it does not work on photoshop, once I open photoshop cs6, it stops working, then I minimize photoshop and starts working again. Any advise?

Sorta works... you have to keep hitting the brush to simulate a mouse click which is highly annoying. haven't figured out how to "slide" a slider yet. Tried this on my Galaxy View 18.4" & win10 x64 pro

It could use some serious improvements. For one thing, when I tap on the drawing icon and start drawing, my lines starts from where my cursor started instead of being relative to where I tap on the tablet, causing me to draw far off from where I intended. It KINDA works, but not in the ways I hoped.

I would love it if there is an option in which you can keep the lines and clear them manually instead of them disappearing automatically. Really amazing work

I love that the server is in a jar file, i can run it on my Ubuntu 14.04! Also, the app is a good, free alternative to a real drawing tablet. I use it all the time when animating. Well made app, i wish i could rate it 100 stars!
