Bugs now fixed. Keep improving the app and adding useful features

I love this app, it works so well for me. I always worry when I leave the house or go on holiday if i have remembered to turn off my straighteners or the tv at the mains. This app has taken that worry away by allowing me to turn things off via the app. I have since bought the new light switch systems which i think are great! The main benefit with the light systems for me is that when you are away on holiday/business you can turn the house lights on and off to warn off potential burglars. Great products.

The new look great and feels great but the some old issues are still their. Plug keep showing offline. App keep reloading the plug and does not monitor correctly. Big disappointment had High Hopes that this would be fixed.

Liking the new look and feel. Much better than before and seems stable so far. Only issue is the add plug button as it covers the bottom wifi plugs toggle but I hear that's being fixed this weekend.

If you haven't bought your plug yet.....don't...hasn't worked properly since I bought it. App drops out. Plug won't register. User guide is dreadful. Terrible device...steer clear.

I really feel let down by the app for the plug.. the plug itself works for the basic turn on and off but everything else fails.. first of all going through the pairing process is painfull as it flicks between it's own network and needing access to the internet and wifiplug servers. once you have went through the problems with this you then come across the totally unacceptable app.. main issues i have found.. Scheduled timers simply dont turn devices on and off.. The boost function doesn't seem to do anything. each time i click to bring up the usage stats it crashes the app completely... My advice.. don't buy this until they have a working app

This new update isn't working. Constantly signing out and plugs won't respond to it I've followed all troubleshooting but nothing responding. Not working at all will not allow me yo sign in. It says pts wifi not in range.

Never turns on or syncs with internet. Add a device and all I get when trying to turn it on is a red dot and then an edit screen asking to update firmware which never seems to complete.

I purchased 3 WifiPlug2 in 2014 and they worked very well until the 4th of December 2016 when the company did a so called upgrade by discontinuing the WifiPlug2 app they had email everyone stating there was a new app coming out but no mention as to discontinuing the older app. On the 4th of December my plugs stopped working and went open circuit costing me One Hundred pounds in electricity in my bungalow at the coast which is my second home. I only go to it once a month during the winter. I sent a support ticket to them saying my plugs had stopped working and was told i needed to reset the plug using the new app but this app wouldn't work with plugs with mac address starting with 0025 and there would be an update on the server to make these work soon i have been told the update is there and you guessed it my plugs don’t work still the company is no help and i would advise anyone in considering this product not to buy it the support is rubbish and they have no loyalty to customer who have purchased the product. This app dosn't work the older wifiplug2 with mac address starting 0025.

If you are reading this review and thinking of purchasing a product from wifi plug then do yourself a huge favour and stay well clear. The idea is a good one and if the product worked then it would be fantastic. However you will find yourself constantly frustrated with both the app and the hardware. The support is also next to useless. There are many other products on the market doing similar so find an alternative that is actually ready to be brought to market.

UI needs serious revamp, as it looks outdated. Also got a crash when trying to save a new 'Group' Otherwise, this is a great tool. Looking forward to a new update!

Highly recommend Now I can tel when my kids play Nintedo or watch TV exactly! Recommended.

Great device! Easy to setup! I can now literally control my home from my phone!!! I would recommend this product to anyone!

Have to agree with others on here. When it works it is fine. However there are so many times when it doesn't respond or the unit drops off line. Maybe it can be fixed with a firmware update. Personally if I was buying again I'd choose a different company. The only advantage these had were that they are small.

Always getting "connection failed, try again". Trying since yesterday.

Connection fail try again. Cannot even sign up nevermind Co trolley a smartplug. Needs a massive fix.

IFTTT is here! The company sent me a BETA link for IFTTT i love it, just walked down the drive and TV turned off! Really pleased with their continued support and updates. I found there was a bug in the app that my 5GHz router wouldnt allow access, So i opened the ports and now it works fine.

I brought 2 plugs from this years gadget show and nothing more than dissatisfied. I want my money back! If the support sort his out, I'll take back my negative reviews, really am disappointed.

A sweet plug that does what it says I read some crappy reviews after i had ordered the plug. It arrived in 24hrs and I have to sya, i don't know what these guys are talking about, it set up straight out of the box in 45 seconds! I thinks it's really good! Well worth the £30!

I bought 2 wifiplugs and neither worked properly. They kept dropping offline and failing to turn on/off. I contacted Tech Supp, they reset them and got the wifiplugs back online but they failed again soon afterwards. Wifiplugs returned for a full refund. Nice idea but the product needs more R&D and testing.

Bought three plugs about 10 months ago, gradually become more and more unreliable. More things to do with my life than nurse these things constantly to try and get them working. Don't bother.

SO SMART Got the plugs up and running in 10s

Bought the plug on 28 Mar 15 and after initial setup failure, I contacted the WiFi support and after a 3 week period of email exchange I still cannot get the plug to work. Sending it back. A shame as its a really good idea.

Spent an hour trying to configure the plug. It never worked. Waste of time and money.

The security in WIFIPLUG POWER requires you to enter a code emailed to you within 60 seconds. Some email servers don't function that fast. I think they are trying to implement two factor authentication? Maybe? I paid £40 for the previous wifi plug 2 which this app connects to but barfs out a unexpected data rather than unsupported message. Don't purchase this product if you expect any kind of long term service. They are barely supporting the previous application after just a year claiming its no longer their responsibility since its out of warranty. For example the old service can't send out emails so you can't register or reset your password. The scheduling has never worked properly. Find a better solution as you are completely reliant on their service.

This app is the great. If you have WIFIPLUG you should download this app. Its easy to use, my wife loves it also, If she cant find the remote she just picks up her phone and uses the app.

Set these up earlier now controlling my lamps for when I get home

Had some teething problems with Wifi plug but actually now I can see the value in it. My son is spending too long on his playstation and now i can turn it off whenever i want. 5 stars for wifi plug

I have the app on my android and my daughter on her iPhone. Sometimes the set timers vanish on both platforms but will often show on Android and not iPhone. Daughters never been able to setup a timer but can switch manually 60% of the time. It's a shame the software let's such a good idea down..
