AnyBox is a receiver side implementation of Google Anymote Protocol.
Throw away keyboard and mouse! Now enjoy using Google TV Remote to control your none Google branded TV!
There are plenty of remote apps in the market already. Most of these are vendor specific, controls only limited devices. But want to control generic Android STB ?
Use AnyBox, it's a common protocol's implementation, and fit for common android system. You can choose any remote app that implements Anymote Protocol (the protocol used by Google TV Remote).

[Notice]:
1. AnyBox requires ROOT access.
2. (Experimental) UInput module is not necessary now :)
3. AnyBox does not react to all Google TV Remote buttons, e.g. DVR key. It is the corresponding app's job to handle key events.
4. Key rebind functionality is currently WIP.

The old app worked great but I cannot get this one to work. Prompts you to scan a code but it doesn't work?

The specs say it has no special requirements. Don't believe it; you have to be rooted, and then have the regular GTV installed anyway. Worthless waste of time

Horrible. I think it assumes every phone to be rooted. Should be taking out of google play
