Whuzoo Afrikaans provides a range of applications, primarily to support South African English-speaking learners who are learning Afrikaans as a First Additional Language. The applications have been thoroughly researched and built in conjunction with IEB teachers. They more than adequately cover the CAPS requirements.

These applications provide a way for learners to learn an extensive base vocabulary for Afrikaans - including spelling and pronunciation - independently. Sound clips for words give accurate pronunciation, and a test function automatically marks the spelling of the learner.
Words and phrases are arranged in themes e.g. colours, numbers, animals etc, including grammar themes as required for the language e.g. intensive forms, comparisons, abbreviations, conjunctions.

Afrikaans applications are available for:
Grades 4-7
Grades 8-12

Applications - without sound clips - are available to support selected setbooks. These applications provide the more difficult words, per chapter, in the sequence they appear in the chapter. We recommend that the words for a chapter be learnt prior to reading the chapter so the chapter is better understood. Applications are available for the following setbooks:
