App is touted as being free and a way to avoid the surveys and ads from the mobile site. Technically, it doesn't cost anything to download, but after that you only get the first few lines before the pay wall. Also the pay wall is almost as much as local delivery of the print version. Totally not worth it. It should be free or at least drastically reduced for current subscribers. I'll stick with the surveys for now.

Why would I pay for this app monthly when I can just use the browser on my phone? I had hoped that this would be more convenient but I guess not. It would've made much more sense to make full stories available to everyone in the app, and make money on ad revenues.

Garbage app. Don't waste your time. Won't let you read the whole story!
