The Intelligencer for Android
This app isn't working on my Note 3. It starts up to a pretty much blank screen showing 'refreshing...' and that's it.
What is the difference between "Latest News" and "Recent Headlines?"
This app, along with that for the sibling Courier Times, both worked nicely for awhile on our v4.2.2 LG G2 phones, but no longer. Most (but not all) days over the past few weeks, it displays only headlines and a few words from each story, then insists upon a paid sub to read the rest. This isn't the case with the Intell's regular online reports, which display each story in full for one day before requiring a sub. So, if you want to read a current Intell story, skip this app and, instead, go to their regular website, then pinch and swipe to make the story readable. Best guess is that this shortcoming is inadvertent, because about the same time this app tanked, the print icons at their website also quit working. So perhaps they'll eventually wake up and fix things, which would turn this back into a four-star app.

Cannot read the articles because of the ad that will not go away ... no stars and am uninstalling.
This app, along with its sister app for the Courier Times, both work nicely on our v4.2.2 LG G2 phones. With the de facto recent demise of the Patch, deterioration of the Newtown Advance, and long ago loss of the Inquirer's Bucks bureau, these two Calkins news sources are just about "it" for Bucks County even though they, too, have cut way back on coverage. Bottom line, if you live in upper Bucks this Intell app is genuinely valuable and works well with minimal ad intrusion. No idea what generated the other comment, different version of Android?
