I have had it on my sons car for 2 years now. Its takes a while to locate the car, sometimes it wont locate it & the system tells me to wait or ty again. Overall the system is ok. I understand the tech is still new but i think the system is due for an update. Just need to be more current. If google maps can give current location in seconds, why can this? It does the job, just wish it did it a little better.

Would be nice if the commands sent a little faster. And it would be cool if there was a widget, so I could just hit commands from my phone home screen instead of having to log into the app. Also the "auto refresh upon launch" doesn't work. It ALWAYS says my engine is on and the doors are locked when I open the app. So I have to manually refresh it, to see what state the vehicle is in.

Has worked for me about 98% of the time. The other 2% is when my car doesn't have a cell signal, I'm guessing. My only gripe is that it locks the doors on my Honda every time I start it and then I have to use my key to manually unlock the door. The key fob doesn't work with the car running. Any way to prevent an '09 Honda Civic from locking doors on start?

On my 3rd yearly subscription now, havent had any issues aside from the server going down Oct 2016. Very convenient, does what it's supposed to do. Just have to make sure you have signal wherever it's parked - e.g. no signal in underground parking

Prior to 2/23/17, App was ok. Not great, but It did what it was expected for the most part. What i mean was, i would always, always get an error the first try... it never just worked the first time, weather it was to start the car, lock it, etc... now, since they did an update on 2/23/17, the app is useless.. does not work at all... constantly get error 201 (vehicle not responding). No solution is available. The app sucks.. i really hope they fix it soon.. 700$ for something that works "sometimes" was bad, but now for one that doesn't work at all ???? Ridiculous.

Absolute worst security app you can buy for your vehicle. Not reliable, always timing out or unable to connect to vehicle, and the most impressive thing the app does is drain a battery fast. The update fixed nothing. Maybe instead of profit, focus on a reliable product first. Why is the application so unreliable when I pay for this service?

I echo comments about timing out since upgrade but seems to have resolved. I'd like to draw your attention to the track activity screen. Within the last 48 hours, the track activity screen shows nothing, absolutely blank. Can this be fixed?

Good functionality and features. Has a fairly annoying delay over a remote. Takes 5 seconds or so for mine to complete command to truck. Get communication errors once every couple of weeks. Battery voltage reads wrong more often than right even with new batteries. Still cool to have. Love the tracking aspect for theft piece of mind.

Love the features, just annoyed that sometimes the app logs me out. It can be slow sometimes and it seems like the home screen isnt always current. It will say my doors are unlocked and they aren't or when I open the app it will say the car is running and it's not. Overall I am satisfied!

App does no good if it will not start your vehicle when the temperature is below 32!!! Best Buy and Firstech have both told me that there is nothing wrong with the equipment! If I knew how to uninstall it myself I would, then demand my money back!!!

The app is great.......when it works. Which is about 40% of the time for me. It constantly says the 201 module connection error even though there is perfect service. When it does work it will allow one start command, when that runs out and you try a second command, it shows the 201 error again. I have reset the module many times and still have the same issues. Update. I tried what the drone team suggested and it says cell signal N/A. This never changes. Sometimes it will start sometimes not.

I've registered my car and for some odd reason it still is not reading. I downloaded the app and still have the free version. So I'm not sure if I have to subscribe to the app for things to work or what. It's frustrating that I can't even play with the app to see if I fully like it.

I've had this system for a week. It has worked fine until yesterday. I now have communication failure with a timeout error. Tried restarting phone to see if it helps, but had no success. $100+ membership should mean little to no failures. Will keep monitoring while dropping rating.

Worked great till I got my new phone. I guess its not very comparable with the LG G6. Maps don't show anything and it takes close to 90 seconds to update or send commands where it use to take around 5 to 10

This app is very user friendly. Anybody could figure it out! Works with Drone Mobile systems only. Currently on version 3.7 as of this review. Only one complaint: Please fix "Auto refresh upon launch." I have tried reinstalling the app to fix it and it still exists.

The app is great works 98% of the time. The most current issue I am having is with the M2M plan. I get errors that I need to renew my subscription even though it is set to auto renew. This has happened the last 3 months and is a bit annoying.

It doesn't always unlock my car when I press unlock. I'll have to be right next to my car for that to work for some reason. Nothing to do with my cell signal, that is fine, just seems really buggy. Otherwise I like the convenience of remote starting my car. That always works. I do dislike receiving 14 notifications that my car started, I had to completely turn off notifications. It also never auto refreshes even though I checked the refresh upon launch option.

Update: Many more "retry command" errors. On both my wifes' iphone and my app. Since the new software update. Please fix. Unfortunately as the website states it is NOT avaliable for all "android wear", only SELECTED devices. Fix that and you have a 5 star product! I have a gear s2.

honestly way to expensive for a mobile app. Cause your only paying for features on an app. Mind your you have the 4 button key controller that comes with it. I believe they should come with a decent plans

Update Feb 26, 2017: Getting less errors, but android app still doesn't refresh the status when user open the app. Original review: Getting too many error 201 even with good network coverage in Canada. Seems their server is unreliable. Some days works fine and some days not at all..Auto refresh option when you start the app doesn't work.

Is great when working properly. About 30% of the time it does not connect even when have 3+ bars of service. Have had to call in several times due to this issue. Sometimes it will start my car & several minutes later when I go to unlock the doors it gives me an error code that can't connect & I'm usually in the same location that I just used it to start my car. Can be very frustrating.

I've had this for about 3 years now. After the first year I let my subscription lapse. When I went to sign back up it was giving me an error on their website when I tried to pay. I emailed customer service and they fixed the issue and waived the initial sign up fee. The system has always worked well and the customer service is fantastic.

Had this 4 years running. Was disappointed when I couldn't change my key fob look anymore. Love it still! Would be nice to add new features or functions from time to time.

Commands have been hit and miss. When I first installed it, the commands worked everything, I go to show it to a friend, and the app kept timing out, module is installed with a clear view of the sky, so not sure why it times out. Also would be nice to change the settings so I only get alerts about the engine starting if the car is armed, I really don't need a text alert to tell me the car is running when I'm sitting in the drivers seat and just started the car, far too many alerts. More customization in the settings and preferences on premium would be nice, and also setting up a geofence when armed. Maybe I'm just missing something?

Car usually turns on but the app always gives a command failed error. I have contacted support with no response several times.

I've had this app for several years now, it started out great, but the last two years it has been very flaky and unreliable. Same vehicle for five years, same locations used, always updated the app, just has communication issues more than half the time I use it. No amount of retry, reboot phone, power cycle module, restart app, etc, will ever help. I think the app is oversold and their servers can't keep up. Not reliable enough to count on, it used to be, but now I think of it as a novelty and wish I hadn't signed up for the three year plan last renewal.

Overall its a great app but lately its telling me I'm expired when I'm not and wants me to renew my services but they're not expired. So therefore I'm unable to use the product from my smartphone and IT SUCKS!!!!!

Hi love this app. Used to work with Android wear and now with the 2.0 update cannot find it in the watch OR the wear app store. Any suggestions? Loved being able to start the car with my wrist!

I'm upset I paid for a 1 year membership. Payment went thru but not the membership. I had to pay 2 times since firstech did not reply to calls or emails. I was robbed! Buyer beware

Have not been able to connect to my car in over a month! This needs to get fixed cause I'm paying for premium and not connecting gets to me where is my money for it not working?

Works very well for me. Have also been able to monitor when people are driving the vehicle while in service at a retailer. I have caught dealerships out right lieing about what is going on with my vehicle, and was able to confront them with documented proof.

This app is great when it works, however it only works about half the time. Crashes unexpectedly amd now I cannot start my truck when it is 40 below zero

Worked fine for about a month and now after update it just says "something went wrong, your request has timed out". Unreliable and I would like my money back or fix this... very disappointed

Too often I've had to go through the whole login process to utilize the so called convenient features. Will be calling the help desk after next incident, for sure.

Worry free with this app I don't have to worry about broken device. Change vehicle,not a problem. I have been with Drone mobile for the past 5 to 6 years.

Error code 201 every time when using the app on my phone (drone) most times have to use remote for functions to work.. very expensive unit disappointed with the whole thing

I paid alot of money for this remote start as it is the only one available for my model vehicle- BMW 328i. It worked 90% of the time until the past several months. Now I CONSTANTLY get error 201 (not connecting to my vehicle). My car is in my driveway! I've done EVERYTHING and it works minimally now. Very dissatisfied. It is even worse since the app update. Very DISSATISFIED

Very please with drone. It's the best car starter on planet. Works all the time no glitches. The best part is it really doesn't matter where I am. In yorkdale In a casino etc car starts all the time.

More trouble than it's worth really overall. Update to a long range two way fob, you will be better off in the long run. Buyer beware.

This will be my 3rd year using this and all of a sudden I'm getting alot of connection errors. And no notifications. I even Uninstalled and reinstalled. It happened right after I renewed and then updated the app. Well I finally got the problem solved. The new drone mobile was not compatible with my older starter. Problem is now solved. But what i believe they should do is on the app give the option of Fahrenheit other then just celsius for the temperature inside the vehicle
