Pop up ads? I understand the need for a paper to have ads for revenue, but to have them pop up when selecting an article? Unacceptable. I'm a paid subscriber. Get rid of pop ups, or I won't be one for much longer.

Much cleaner layout, makes it easier to navigate the stories. Update:7/17 the new updates works significantly better on tablets. Lanscape mode makes finding the article you're looking for much easier.

I love the layout and I love having the times on line as the first thing i do in the morning,grab coffee and turn on the computer,now I can read everything i want and it makes it easier to navigate through the news. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Overall the app is OK. My biggest beef is with the advertising. I understand the need, even on paid subscriptions. I also have no problem with banner ads but pop up ads take over the screen. Pop up ads are never good..... Ever!
