The news is old. And no "breaking" news. The obits are in some unidentifiable random order with no sort/filter that makes it tedious to find somebody. It's probably ok for somebody who doesn't have other news sources.

Most the time the app won't even work. When it will let me sign in, there are still popup ads even though I pay for a subscription. And good luck trying to find an article that isn't on the first page! Stick to the web version (not much better) or print version.

So you pay for a subscription to access Commercial Appeal content and still have to deal with pop up apps? Application design is fine, with the exception of search. Why should users be subjected to pop up ads if they already pay for a subscription service? Especially when a lot of the same content is available for free from the Associated Press.

This app is horrible. I have new problems so I'm editing my previous review. I still stand by the above statement. When I get a notification of breaking news, I tape on it to read the story and the app opens (side note it takes an extremely long time for the CA app to open) once it's open I can't find the story. No matter how old the notification. It doesn't take me straight to the story, very frustrating. I pay $4.99 plus tax a month for this terrible app. I guess I'm the dummy.

I use this daily to read the sports section mostly. Biggest complaint would be that the app does not support landscape mode, it can't possibly be that difficult to rotate text can it....

This is an excellent app but it is difficult to tell when there are new article updates. It would be nice to be able to swipe off the articles you have already read so they don't show up in your feed unless they have been changed or updated.

The font is so small, even on my tablet, its almost unusable. Guess what? There's no way to make it bigger! Five stars if they can correct that one huge oversight!

Previous phone version was much better as you could view in landscape and view comments. Comments are not viewable on the new phone app and only viewable in portrait. Tablets are able to do both portrait and landscape. Ads are excessive, and I am paying subscriber.
