Whisky Suggest

The app is pretty good; however, it would be great if one could search by region or style (i.e. Scotland, U.S., Japan, or Islay, Speyside, Bourbon, etc.)

Ok, I'm not gonna lie. When I first used this app I thought it was useless and just pure junk, but these guys have made major improvements though. I'm now able to find whiskeys in this app that I can't find in others and the scan tool has improved drastically. And! Because of the collection option, I was able to show my insurance company what I had possessed after my house was broken into and robbed.

This is a great app for search, suggestion and tracking your collection. Hard to find areas to improve. However, I feel the "where to buy" feature lacks for luxury and high end whisky's, while it does well for common ones. Also, I suggest to add a "search/submit" event for whisky lovers. I.e. sampling nights, distillery sponsored events. It can help connecting the community and get to know what's happening around a specific location.

I love being able to visualise my collection on this app and see what everybody else is collecting. I would really like it, if there was Facebook integration into the app, so I could invite my whisky loving friends and we could create groups, share collections, make tasting catch ups.

Definitely not perfect...yet. However, it's a very solid app though, great to be able to keep track of the whiskeys I try and want. Their database is good and growing.

I've looked for an app where I could check my collection, both have in hand and the ones I'm looking for, and this one does both. I'm from Central MO, which has many small distilleries none of which where in the database. I entered them into the database and within 24 hours they had been approved and in the system. I call that great support.

The app is solid, and the barcode scanner works for almost all whiskeys. I had to pull out a different bottling version of suntory royal and the Jefferson's wood experiment set to stump it. I haven't used the app long, but one thing I would like to see is an easy way to access the reviews I've made on each whiskey, like a way to browse through the thoughts I've had drinking whiskey from my collection. It would be interesting to see if they change as my pallet grows. I might revisit them later and want to update my thoughts.

The app is great, but still has room for improvement. It really needs a personal star tracking/rating system that's client-side so that you can keep track of which ones the user prefers based on their assorted collections. Something similar to Netflix's rating system would be perfect.

I think it's the best app I've come across to track my collection, although I'm a drinker, not a collector. Being able to rate the different attributes was important to me as I move into other types of whiskey than just Scotch, which I already know well.

This is a great app for tracking and reviewing whiskies you've tried, and finding those you'd like to try. One improvement I would ask for is the ability to search whiskies by region or nationality.

Only used it for a short time so far, but I love that I can now track what I've tried over time. I would also like to see the option to catalog when I try a whiskey at a bar, or is that what sample means?

It is a great way to access information while at the liquor store, at a tasting, or whenever at a friend's house. I just started to use the app and I excited to see how my whiskey experience is enriched.

Like the concept and have high hopes, but the app won't let me add a review.

i hate to register applications via old way. Why there is no Google Facebook login ?

I'm really glad I found this app. Just getting into whiskey, it is really awesome to be able to track what I try and see suggestions for similar whiskies.

Solid app. Started using Vino app while stationed in Italy. Found an amazing whiskey shop so WS works nicely in the same way.

I love this app. The search function is perfect. It helps me keep track of what I like or don't like. So glad I found this.

Awesome for managing inventory at home! Keep track of bottles on hand, opened, emptied, and wish list. Huge database has most of my collection. While not my thing also has badges, etc for those that do. A few things I wish it had: manual/custom entry for private label/cask buys and a spot to list price and location purchased so I could keep track of where to buy which bottles. Check it out!

App still being developed, but it's improving steadily and promising to be great. I like it and use it to manage my collection. There are just a few issues remaining that I hope will be addressed at some point: 1) The search function is still messy. Very well known whiskies can be hidden in a sea of more obscure ones. 2) The personal rating should be shown with every item (if rated by the user), not just the aggregated rating and at least the personal collection should be sortable by this. Thanks for all the work so far! I hope you'll keep improving it.

If the barcode reader had a bigger database associated with it, it might be a full five. It's frustrating to scan the bottles on your bar and have to then type them in anyway. That issue aside, I really like the features and usability of the app!

Have a great collection of whiskies in their database, in fact there's close to none that is nt in their database. Description is mostly accurate but theres still a lack of reviews which still can be improved. Maybe can add in links to google to see reviews from more people that would be great. Able to find suitable whiskies that suit my taste thanks to the "similar" function

Huge database of whiskies but not complete. Barcode scan is frustrating when the code is not recognised but the Whisky is in the database. The Where to Buy function is pointless - nothing listed for UK. It's a brilliant app though for keeping track of your own personal collection

Great app!! Really love the fact of managing my own collection and the similar whiskies the app suggests. Already discovered some nice whiskies!! Also if you're unsure of a whiskey you can scan it and the app shows you the taste pattern!! Love the app. :-D

Very nice app for any whisky enthusiast. I really love the wishlist and the possibility to follow my friends. I also love the whisky search, its very complete and it gives me ideas of whisky to buy with the "similarity" option.

Very nice app, even better after the update. Really great for tracking my collection (which is growing!). One interesting feature would be a suggestion tab based on your highest rated whisky so you can find more stuff like the ones you love. Wish more people knew about it!

Favorite part is the suggest feature, enter up to three whiskeys and it will recommend similar ones to try. Gave me a few suggestions I hadn't even considered. Would like it if I could manage a list of scotches I've had vs ones I own now.

Great app for keeping track of your whisky collection. Because it scans barcodes, it has great search results. Better then label scanning. Some options needs improvement and I miss options like adding own private notes to a whisky in your collection. But overall a great app.

Really like this app. I like that you can select from a color palate for a description of the whiskies color. I also really like the numerical score slider. It would be nice to have a flavor wheel option in the review section with some typical whisky flavor types to refer to. Great job.

A great app for any whisky lover, specially for beginners, for example: if you are unsure about some whiskey you are about to buy, just scan the barcode on the bottle to see a more detailed review and ratings the whiskey is getting.

Easy to use application for whisky lovers. Very accessible and classy design. Still trying to figure out the complete capabilities but it seems very promising. The community seems to grow at a fast rate.

I think Whisky Suggest is a great app, there is plenty of useful information about whisky & I love the collection feature. This app is a must for all whisky enthusiasts.
