Minuum Keyboard + Smart Emoji for Android
Doesn't work on the galaxy s8 as it doesn't recognize the soft keys and thus space bar and other function keys are clipped. Currently, hacking it by enabling the experimental/advance bonus panel and only activating typing speed as it is the only one that doesn't actually interfere with typing. This pushes the whole keyboard up. Waiting for update as I quite like the cursor navigation bonus panel. Otherwise, it most favourite keyboard.
Great! Drunk typing is dope, hard to switch back. Predictive/synonymous emojis are terrific too. Backspace by left swipe is great. Customization is good. Only thing I hate is doing the damn tutorial whenever I reinstall it. happy to pay for the pro version tho, this is a terrific, fast keyboard. Trying the Spanglish feature and hoping it works.
So glad to see an update after all this time. I feel like the theming engine needs an update. It's very limited. You guys have a color wheel but you still can't get the right color you're looking for. I was trying to get a deep red but the reds were so pale and just off. It would be nice if we could add our own background images as well.
The keyboard still works well, though it does still take some getting used to with how aggressive it is for word suggestions. Transitioning from single row to full board still works well. If you don't need or want swipe style thing typing, this is a unique take on it still, that has no equal. I still get people scratching their heads when they see me use this at times.
This is quite possibly the greatest keyboard app I've ever used. I can type exactly what I mean to type while also going as fast as my brain + fingers can possibly go. It's truely the kind of thing that Arthur C. Clarke was talking about when he said that "sufficiently advanced technology is nearly indistinguishable from magic."
Been using this for a while now and it does learn. One issue is backing up my data. The uum file doesn't show up in downloads. Would be nice to send the file to another device. Also I'm not a fan of transparent keyboard when it's floating.
The keyboard is being covered by the navigation softkey bar on my LG G6. Had to increase my spacebar height to the max so that its usable. Please fix it. Update: e-mailed developer but no reply whatsoever. Very disappointing.
I've given up on this. Nice idea, but a keyboard that depends very much on auto correction needs proper dictionaries. Only four languages? Okay, so six billion people don't matter, apparently.
Gave the paid version a try and did not like having web addresses 'smart corrected'. Very frustrating to learn. I spend more time correcting it's flawed 'corrections' than I do typing.
So far it's pretty good. However, it's not patched to support the galaxy s8. The navigation bar cuts off the entire bottom of the keyboard in both Minuum and full
This little keyboard can be tricky but it's aware of what you are talking so considering how tiny the keys are it figures what you MEANT to click and corrects your unavoidable typos quite well. It even learns your typing and gets better at correcting typos. It's not the easiest keyboard to use but it leaves so much more screen space for your apps that sometimes it's essential. Amazing tool for guys like me who use apps that get blocked by the keyboard.
PATHETIC... IT INVARIABLY CHOOSES POOR PREDICTION OVER ACCURACY... IF YOU WANT A KEYBOARD TO TYPE EFFICIENTLY... PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS AND GO ELSEWHERE... THEY ARE NEW AND DON'T HAVE A CLUE... PLUS, THEY WILL IGNORE EVERY EMAIL YOU SEND
Freed up space on the screen is a big plus! You also get used to it in no time.
The app works pretty well. The layout is really simple and the small keyboard design is really clever. Autocorrect is pretty good at finding out what I'm trying to say but it's not perfect. The gestures to erase a whole word are useful. I'll probably keep using this as long as it gets updated.
I like this keyboard a lot. I have used it exclusively for the past two years. It is more intuitive than those drag keyboards. It is not perfect though. It has lots of problems with choosing the correct word for 2 and 3 letter words. For example "if" and "it". It would be really handy if they used surrounding grammar and words as context to make a more accurate choice. That however is a minor complaint. My biggest issue is with swipe detection. When I am typing fast or using two thumbs or there is an app in the background slowing my phone down even a bit, the keyboard will incorrectly detect a swipe and either start a new word, or delete my last word and I end up with nonesense. This is extremely aggravating. If it wasn't for this I'd have given 5 stars.
It seems to have gotten faster than since I last used it but that could just be because I'm using a much more powerful phone. Sloppy typing mode is by far the best thing about this keyboard, it's corrects everything and it very rarely gets the wrong correction. Essential for someone who is prone to hitting the wrong keys continually. Still way too many steps to access the [ and ] keys, and no text expansion is a bit of a pain but overall it's worth enduring for the way it helps those of us who are fat fingered. It's back as my default keyboard.
Displayed notification asking for a review. That is an unacceptable practice.
This is the only keyboard to come close to Fleksy's layout. It'd be nice if there was an undo autocorrect gesture, just a suggestion.
Love this keyboard. Might I suggest swipe support in large mode, and if possible a way to match the color of the title bar with whatever app is open (e.g. Green when using Google Play Store)
For the space saving, this is simply the best keyboard. Sadly there hasn't been any further improvement of late. Word prediction and correction could be improved, as well as the dictionary it uses.
Why can't you allow to import minuum backup from user specified location?! Also for right handed or left handed use can we make the keyboard vertical and stick to the sides?
It is a small sized keyboard and I love typing on it. I like using it one handed. It's the only keyboard for me. I've tried other keyboards but I always end up using this one.
This is the first and only keyboard that I have found that I've instantly fallen in love with. The prediction is uncanny, and the keyboard itself is so incredibly intuitive. Bought it on the off-chance that it would be decent, and it's amazing. Easiest 5 star ever!
Prediction doesn't necessarily save key strokes, but it allows extremely quick typing with general accuracy. Performance issues are now fixed
All the things you love about autocorrect.... I do like how minimal this keyboard is... But you really have to check the autocorrect. Or use the voice swipe. But I like how they made that easy too... Overall pretty darn good.
and it keeps getting better and better and better and better and better and better and better and better. I add a "better" every time Minuum asks for a rating... :|
So I'm using a galaxy s8 plus and the home, recent Apps, and back buttons appear over the top of the keyboard cutting out the space bar and other functionality from the bottom of the keyboard.
God dammit, add the other Scandinavian languages and support the special characters on the qwerty like æäöå! And where is ø?? I had to type that with a different keyboard!
The only thing I don't like is that whenever I try to log into my bank account it doesn't matter what I type it always types jumbled letters. Even when I turn off sloppy typing. It's so bad I have to switch keyboards just for my bank. Fix it or else.
I really want to like this keyboard but when are more languages being added? It's inconvenient. I've been waiting since 2015 for them to add Chinese, Korean, Japanese and other Asian languages.
Please don't stop updating this app. I use this keyboard for every phone, even for the iPhone! I hope you guys continue to innovate!
I've been using this app for a few years now and still love it! It frees up quite a bit of valuable screen real estate and allows me to type faster. Predictive text and autocorrect is well executed.
What I don't like is when you are typing in a weird format html, it doesn't recognize the keyboard. To write i have to to copy/paste the content.
Absolutely love Minuum, but since upgrading to the Galaxy S8, Minuum is partially blocked by the navbar, really hindering its usefulness. Please fix
Great little keyboard, once you get used to it typing becomes so much faster and it has the added bonus that no one else will be able to type on it.
It might seem a little weird at first but when u get used to it you'll never go back.
This keyboard is simply amazing, takes a little getting used to the once you get it BAM! You will love it!
Where have the arrows gone ? They were great. Made typing easier. Now they've disappeared...
Nobody is making innovative keyboards anymore and all the old ones are outdated (MessagEase), became normal (Fleksy, Ginger, etc), or no longer exist (8pen). So I'm glad somebody is keeping still making keyboards that aren't just themes, Emoji, and swiping on a standard QWERTY layout.

Refreshing new take on a keyboard and surprisingly beneficial to have more screen estate available to you while typing. However, one huge caveat is the lack of different languages. I would love to start using this keyboard, but until Danish (and Icelandic) is supported, it is a no go. I bought this app before it was out of beta solely on its promise, so I hope these two languages finds their way onto the roadmap soon.
