Whirlpool for Android
Notifications only work on one device so couples are out of luck; if I enable notifications they stop for my girlfriend, if she enables them again they stop for me. Why is this even a thing? * Discriminates against early adopter supporters by not allowing Amazon Dash for first gen products. Why? The Smart Fridge notifies me when the water filter is low and tells me to order one. Why can't IT order one? Just turn that app notification into an app Dash command * Unfortunately they think the solution to extreme customer dissatisfaction in these reviews is to make the customers phone them. No, the solution is to have the Developer fix the bugs. Stop telling me to call you!
Only pushes notifications to the most recently logged in phone. Wake up Whirlpool: your appliances live with FAMILIES
There's literally 2 washers n 3 dryers that are comparable with the app. I have 1399$ washer lol. No biggie I'll just walk 12 feet to the machine n look at the screen
Provides notification on only one device. No option to send E-mail notifications.
i wish if i can give this app less then 1
Spyware
I just bought the wifi washer and the damn thing will not connect. To make it worse, the directions are flat out terrible. Who wrote this crap? It tells you to connect to the washer then you immediately get prompted your said. Huh? And btw, how in the hell would you washer know to broadcast? Terrible frustrating crap

Are you kidding me. Here's an application that should be literally plug-and-play. Just upload a little bit of information, connect to your device and Bam! It took 12 attempts to download, and never stays connected. There was another application before the actual Whirlpool application, that worked much better.
Features are great but login takes a long time every time you open the app. Notifications of the washer/dryer being done also rarely work. It looks like you need to have the app running to get reliable notifications? It's really disappointing. Since I know the Whirlpool response will be "update that app and call customer service" , I'm always running the latest version of the app, and calling customer service won't fix push notifications. That's just an app/backend bug. Please make sure you're using Google Cloud Messaging or some other push notification service!
The app is easier to use when washing a load that is outside the default washer settings. Plus, you can set it up once & save it for re-use so you don't have to do all the setup work again. The only additional feature I would like is to make the report start feature work all the time. Seems like you have to enable the remote start feature ever time you do a new load. Seems a little useless unless it can be used at any time.
She does all the laundry with our new smart top loader washer and drier set, and for her the notifications when cycles are done is a huge plus. I think the app could be better (e.g. it would be nice to be able to turn off notifications on my phone, and they should tuck away the charity thing so it isn't front and center). But, given how much my wife loves it and the coolness of having a smart appliance, it gets four stars from me.
I just downloaded and it won't log me in.
LOGIN is TERRIBLY slow.... Really IRKS me..

I set up my router 2.4 Ghz mode to N as I didn't have any devices that required b or g mode. There is no mention of what mode of wireless the whirlpool appliance is compatible. When I changed to bgn mixed mode, then I was able to connect my appliances to my WiFi.
