iBird Lite Free Guide to Birds for Android
I'm missing several species when I try and search for even some of the most common birds. Was disappointed wish it had more content.
Streaming only nonsense. When I'm out in the bush, I'm actually in the bush. No WiFi. No cell towers. That makes this app and it's paid version nearly useless.
Much improved detail over the early versions but it is basically an example of the pricier versions of iBird. Good for the price.
Doesn't even have Bald eagle, really? How come
Very helpful field guide. Needs More species to be covered. Still a Good birding aid.
User friendly. Covers most relevant species. Interesting information. Enjoyed the excellent photography.
Identify birds by color or sound great app.I have paid version on IPhone but phone died now new phone can't pay twice so use free version
Just a "taste test" and not a full meal deal. Blue Jay is absent, for example. Not useful and waste of space (huge app.) Uninstalling.
Not worth it for only 50 birds
No falcon.
I tried to use it to identify birds in Utah but it definitely was not made in Utah. Very few Utah birds are in it.

Very handy. Love the Bird calls
Not worth it for only 50 birds

Very impressive search engine, drawings and illustrations outstanding plus great bird songs makes iBird my favorite app.
Plz add indian bird. ..
Good reference.
It cool lots of birds sounds good job Mitch waite group2 :)
Not thorough, but essentials 4 many common birds. Nice!
This app is great, as a lite version, it only has 30 or so birds, but gives you a taste of the pro version. I recommend this over petersons field guide without hesitation!
This is not a lite version of the full app. It is a sample. "Lite" implies less features than the full app. This app is the full version with a crippled database. Such a shame as the app itself looks quite good.
Just entered a ton of attributes for a basic male Cardinal and the search brought up no birds. Seriously?
Its a good starting app into the world of birds, didn't like how each bird had to be downloaded though
Wow. I can now identify all the birds at my feeder . South East Michigan
This is a very good app for identifying birds in your area.
Used for bird id Works well for a basic app
Great app for free.
Not worth it for only 50 birds
This app is a great tool. I especially like that it has recordings of the birds. Hearing what a bird sounds like is much beter than trying to read what noise the bird makes.
Couldn't find any info so downloaded it and found only 50 North American birds. Disappointed but as free nothing lost. Seemed to work ok on Galaxy S2. ibird UK (Apple only) costs £1.99 this month and looks good.
Niether his web or app, found my bird. Still want to know name of brown sparrow like bird with red cap. Pro verdion of app may be much better?

App doesnt work. May be fine on iphone but android not ready yet.

I downloaded this app with a mind to purchase the full one if I found it useful in identifying birds. Unfortunately I found it unhelpful. I didn't see a way to sort the birds in a manner that assists identification, like color or perching or water. All I saw were thumbnail pictures that weren't even photos (which I find more accurate). I did like the rather detailed info ( the bird calls are nice) you can access once you've determined what you're looking at. May work for some but just not what I wanted.
