Chemins d’Ecrivains

Une balade culturelle, innovante et immersive à travers la Somme !

L’application « Chemins d’écrivains », composée de lectures d’œuvres littéraires enregistrées, de notices historiques, biographiques et de documents iconographiques, propose de suivre le parcours d’écrivains et poètes au fil des textes inspirés de leur passage dans la Somme pendant et après la Première Guerre mondiale. Les traces écrites de ces écrivains-soldats, -civils, -médecins, -infirmières, -témoins, ou auteurs contemporains soulignent l'extrême brutalité des combats, l’impact et les conséquences du conflit sur le territoire, et mettent en perspective la dimension mémorielle du paysage de la Somme aujourd’hui.

La spécificité de la Somme pendant le conflit – son internationalité – est représentée par le choix d’auteurs d’origines géographiques multiples comme Siegfried Sassoon, Ivor Gurney, Alan Seeger, Vera Brittain, Jean Cocteau, Francis T. Lind, W.H. Downing, André Maurois, Blaise Cendrars, Ernst Jünger, Hans Carossa ou Edlef Köppen. A cultural stroll, innovative and immersive through the Somme!

The application "Paths of writers" made up of recorded readings of literary, historical, biographical and iconographic documents, intends to follow the path of writers and poets over the inspired texts of their passage in the Somme during and after the First World War. The written records of these soldiers writers, -civils, -médecins, -Nurses, -témoins, or contemporary authors emphasize the extreme brutality of the fighting, the impact and consequences of the conflict on the territory, and put into perspective the size memorial landscape of the Somme today.

The specificity of the Somme during the conflict - its internationality - is represented by the choice of multiple geographic origins authors like Siegfried Sassoon, Ivor Gurney, Alan Seeger, Vera Brittain, Jean Cocteau, Francis T. Lind, WH Downing, Andrew Maurois, Blaise Cendrars, Ernst Jünger, Hans Carossa or Edlef Köppen.
