Westinghouse Remote

First of all the app does work for the TV's listed. Initially you have to have your network set. In the settings menu you have to select portable remote. From there you enter the 6-digit code the TV provides you with. Unfortunately it seems many Android apps are very poorly documented and you have to sort of blunder your way through them until you figure out how they work or not!

The stock remote is bad enough but trying to use the same remote but on a touch screen is terrible. If it actually had more functionality like a channel guide with program information it might be useful. The only upgrade from the stock remote is you can actually mute the tv.

I've had this app before. I uninstalled it because every time I shut the TV off, it had to be repaired. Decided to try it out again and now it is completely broken. When you enter the 6 digit pair code nothing happens, no buttons work, and when you check the code it doesn't save it. Can't store code, can't work with the TV. Needless to say this is a worthless app for a not so great TV.

I don't understand the low rating, this app is good. ***Would suggest play, fast forward and rewind buttons, though. Also, the ability to type in whatever language we have on our phone's keyboard.*** other than that, solid app. Faster than the physical remote, actually.

when it shows the code it just says N/A

Seems to work,but I can't get out of the keyboard and don't see the little icons for things little the home icon that I see in the pictures on this install page.

I still won't work on my T. V. This app is a waste of time. If u have just delete it

I have to put in the code every time before I can use it. The app doesn't remember it.

Disconnects after EVERY USE and 6 digit code must be reentered every time...WTF!

It does what it says , usefull for keyboard in app .But the built in my TV Netflix and Youtube are very slow

I can't find the 6 connection code.

Lags, doesn't work half the time, and disconnects from the TV after I exit out of the app. It's more of a pain than it is useful. Why can't the TVs just come with a remote with numbers?!?

The description up at the top clearly says for Smart TVs, if you have a regular Westinghouse that is not on your network then you can not control the television

I just got the 42" smart tv and this app works 100% for me.

Exit button doesn't work, huge delay in pressing a button and the TV changing.
