About Salomon PowderQuest

Salomon PowderQuest just got that much better, a new Android application for freeriders, designed to provide you with the most accurate new snow forecasts for Europe and North America and helps you discover the best freeride routes. PowderQuest is about finding the deepest snow, exploring new areas and sharing the experience with your friends.

NOT JUST ANOTHER WEATHER APP!
When it comes to the most accurate weather reports combined with best freeride resorts, Salomon PowderQuest delivers. We don’t just take weather report feeds, we have our own personal weatherman report- ing where it will snow. With Morris our weatherman, powder is guaran- teed.

FIND YOUR ROUTES
We've added over 700 freeride routes! The routes are great for inspiration, not for navigating in the mountains. Always use a topographic map, check the local avalanche bulletin and ski or ride with a certified guide. However, the routes in PowderQuest allow you to easily see if the freeride routes in a resort are suitable for you. You can send updates about the freeride routes (just like the local reports) as well.

THE REAL-TIME REPORTING AT YOUR FINGER TIPS!
Making your friends jealous is part of the deal, reporting the conditions on the spot, ultimately generates the most advanced real-time snow forecast there is. Snap an image and define the amount of snow and share it with other skiers as the ultimate “make your friends jealous” weapon. Sharing is caring...

Love this app, use it all the time. The only thing I am having a problem with is the routes tab. I can't get any of my favorite resorts to come up. It seems to be only European resorts despite making my default location north America and having many north American resorts in my favorites. Would love for that function to be changed.

Vastly improved over the years. If I had a private jet I'd be flying off to perfect powder every week with help from Powderquest.

X70%
by X####:

Has a few flaws, but the core functionality is simple, fast, and very helpful: how much powder is falling over the next few days / has fallen over the past few days?

S70%
by S####:

Great detailed forecasts, but stupidly omits the date and time it was published, which is essential for weather reports

Got me hooked up with the pow pow before a Whistler trip! Great app!

On the map, it is impossible to pan south because it scrolls the entire page, other than that,am excellent app.

Z70%
by Z####:

Works well and psyched that it displays in imperial values now. Some of the locations are off... For example, the top of Cascade Express "beacon location", which should be the highest elevation at Mt. Hood Meadows, is located at the bottom of Hood River Express, the lowest elevation at Meadows. This results in Meadows often showing up lower on the snow totals list than Ski Bowl, which has a much lower elevation.

What I really like is the overall or macro forecast which is backed by micro forecast, most only give resorts and even then I'm suspicious of the tourist office input. The live blog is also great as long as the trolls are jumped on, I wish more people contributed to the blogs as there's nothing like on the spot knowledge. Great app.

I use this app regularly and it's is a great source of information. Metteo Morris forecast and powder alerts are fantastic and give an in depth view of the best places to ski in the Alps based on an analysis of the different meteorological models . As a future improvement I would like to see the ability to post updates independent of Facebook as I don't wish to have my account linked via Facebook.

Especially love the updates where the weather is explained. Why does it snow, when and what will it be like to ski.

The forecasts from Morris could use a date and time help relate it to other data

Literally the third application I've tried that doesn't work. I'm using a galaxy s4 so I know its not my phone that's an issue. Every single application of try has had some sort of error message when I try to add a mountain or find any popular mountains in Colorado

I would only add the possibility to add some resort, even the little one unknown
