Don't blindly follow ideas online or here. Make sure you plan and do things with your significant other in mind, so that he/she will like what you did!

Some nice tips that may help:
> Remember things your SO mentions casually and plan a surprise with it ~ a week after.
> Anything handmade is almost always better than something you can buy.
> Don't use your phone when you're around your SO !
> When you're shopping with other friends/family, see if there's anything small you can get your SO. It'll show that you were thinking of her.
> Message your SO every morning and before you sleep.
> Surprises are nice and romantic. Good ones :)
