About ParaJournal - Flight log

Paragliding should not be hindered by admin. Whether you want to keep a logbook because the law requires it, to record those memorable flights, or even just track the hours on your wing, ParaJournal can help you and ensures you always have your flight log by your side.

ParaJournal was designed by a paragliding pilot, with the needs of a pilot in mind. As we often travel abroad, all major flight logbook functions can be used offline. The darker colors used on the user interface aims at saving battery power when a power outlet is not always nearby.

Among the many features are:
* Flight logbook
- Total flying time and flight time breakdown into soaring / tandem / PPG
- Flight time per wing
- Yearly average flying hours, yearly total flying hours, or custom periods
- Export your flight log to CSV and open in Excel (Premium)

* Flight records
- Max altitude, climb, and sink
- Longest flight (Both time and XC distance)
- Counters for your XC flights over 20km, over 50km, etc...

* IGC files
- Import IGC by opening it from email attachment, or anywhere in android using a file explorer, or directly from within ParaJournal
- See your flight on a 2D map, or export it to Google Earth right on your device.
- An experimental distance calculator has been added as well, showing the free distance via 3 turn points. This is still very slow on longer flights, but will be improved!

* Order your flights by date, location and more.

* Backup and restore your flights to and from Google Drive and keep your log safe, and spread over devices

Spend more time paragliding / hang gliding, and less time writing in your flight log!

Thanks to Etienne Coupez, Jamie Glendinning, Mariusz Kopacki, Sergey Kubrin and others for their effort and time in supporting this!

Any problems or questions? Email me! Great care has been taken to ensure this app runs stable on all supported devices. Should you have a crash PLEASE report it. Thanks!

Latest update fixed everything. Except track view in Google earth. But still my favorite flight log app on mobile.

Great app but Backup/Restore broken for Androind 6 :(( App can't read/write to /storage/emulated/0 any more. Please use proper API for GoogleDrive/Dropbox or at least save it to /sdcard/Downloads folder

I really love this app and use after every flight BUT I still cannot seem to restore to another device with the app. I backup from one device and then save to google drive, save this Flightlog file to an SD card and then always get a "backup file not found on external storage" when trying to restore this data base (on the other device with the app). Any help would be appreciated. I am looking to get a new phone and won't do so until I can figure this out. Thanks! update 11-7-16: have tried all the recommended fixes and still get the same response that the "back up file not found..." Any other suggestions? Thanks!

This app really appeals to my lazy side. If it wasn't for this app, most of my flight would go unlogged. Quick easy importing and integration with Google Earth is a great feature for comparing flights at the end of the day. Well done! My only minor gripe is that for some reason it won't calculate distances over 3.99 km when importing from XC track (tried the recalculate feature - seems to be working now as of my first post). Not sure if it's a compatability issue. Keep up the good work though!

Great app, I haven't taken full advantage with the ICG import yet.. Still getting my head around xcsoar.. But great layout and very handy stats page. Hanging out for the print to hardcopy option.. Would finally give me the piece of mind needed to deleted the gpx files. Cheers Stu

One by one, but it's OK. Stats is OK too. Map display is OK. Distance calculation is not. Also maybe replay as in igc browser would be great...

Seems to have all the fields this new, low flight time pilot needs right now and more. Is there an EXPORT function? To MS Excel or CSV?

Great App, but ever since go to far "up" the folder hyrarchhy during add flight.. I cannot add any igc's. Screen gives me no file/folder structure when going to add a flight

This app saves me time and increases the accuracy of my log book entries. I now fill in all my flights immediately after finishing them. Takes 1-2 minutes. Had minor troubles due to being in the southern hemisphere, Wes got straight on it and had a fix within 24 hours. Very happy

I use the old version for over a year, and I was very happy. Since the new version is here I experience a problem. When I enter start time, it shows another time in the overview. I also don't know where I can add the flight duration. When I want to recalculate the duration, it says that there are no flights to recalculate? The old version was much easier. I only use date, start time and duration but I can't use it properly now. Please help me or fix the problem :-)

The only thing i found missing is the distance setup. For some reason the app is always trying to create a triangle or so. Never shows the path distance. Maybe an option in setup would help?

Love it. Use xcsoar while flying, then import the igc file and add a few notes. There is also a quick view overlaying the path of a 2d map or you can load the Igc on Google Earth with a click and see it in 3d. Would really love the option of deleting the igc after importing and that everything would be backed up in the cloud so if I lose my phone everything would be secure. Thanks for a great app!

How about numbering the flights on the first page. So you can see how many flights you have.

Trying to import ~70 igc files. - have to select each of them! - failed to import all - some just did not appear in the list - scrolling through the list of what did appear is terribly slow Good idea, but not yet usable in real life

I can't import igc file. "no igc file found. Igc file must un root folder in sdcard" I can't found root folder and i create new folder "root" in sdcard but still can't found.
