Exxon Mobil Speedpass+

I had my doubts because of the bad reviews, how can an app replace a SPEED pass, the key word being speed, but it has worked great for me so far. I have only had issues at one gas station (multiple times). I usually use the QR reader and the whole process is pretty quick. I do miss my speed pass fob tho, much easier, in case anyone at headquarters is actually listening.

GIVE ME BACK MY KEYCHAIN TOKEN/FOB!!!!!!!!!. Worked every time, never had to fumble for a card (keys were already in my hand!!!), never had to get gasoline on my phone's leather case and endure the stink until leather case could be replaced, never had to worry about rain or snow ruining my $$$$$ phone, and if I dropped the little token near a pump, no big deal. If I drop my $$$$$ phone on the concrete at the pumps, tragedy!!! GIVE ME BACK MY TOKEN!!!!!!!

it worked fine at first. now it always gives an error that i cannot use more than 1 pump at the same time. Im only using 1 pump though.

It's great to save a few seconds of not standing outside and pressing buttons, just wish you could also pick the fuel grade to totally eliminate button pushing outside.

Portrait only mode?? Seriously?? I have the app on a Samsung galaxy tab2 SM-T815Y and it is locked in landscape mode in the holder in my vehicle. That means everything is sideways and upside down when I try to use the app.

I would give this app a higher rating if it gave you your plenti #. I don't always carry my card with me and it never fails I go to a gas station that is not set up to use the app.

I would give a more stars if I could use Samsung Pay as stated.

As long as this doesn't make you use the Location on your phone, then I'm very HAPPY!!

Works well. Love the ease of paying.

Worked flawlessly in the beginning(day one) app works everytime I use for paying from my phone/scanning QR code at pump. Was only able to pay with my vechicle's Sync Application fay one only. This feature doesn't work anymore. Always says timed out eck internet connection. Wi-fi works just fine, afterall synv is able to open the app on my cell when selected.

When it works, It's ok. More times it doesn't scan the bar code on the pump and get a lot of error messages to try to use the app later. Also the history doesn't show you your payments, only your charges, you have to go to the web site to see it. Also even though it is sponsored by Citi, you can't link this card to other Citi cards on their app, so you can see all your cards at once.

When it works, which is most of the time, it's awesome (5 stars). Unfortunately, it fails enough (maybe 10% of attempts) that it needs programmer attention. There's no pattern of failure--not by place or time. This app has to know its location and needs to respond quickly for a gas purchase transaction. If these issues can be fixed and the app made more reliable, I would gladly give it 5 stars.

Update: yet another failure at a gas station. From my point of view this is significantly less reliable than the old fob. This app needs more reliability or a better back up for when it doesn't work. And it's still very slow. WHEN it works, it's fine although slow. Too often it fails when you get to the gas station. After months of use, still prefer the dongle.

This app has worked perfectly every time. For people having problems, make sure your data is on and your location is on. I've never had a problem with it yet. I've been using it for a few months. Even got my 2000 points! :-)

You pay full credit card price, not the cash price. Updated review and changed to 1 star. App doesn't work anymore. Credit card associated with the app was declined at two Exxon stations. I filled up at Gulf without a problem. This app is a complete waste of time.

When this app works, it's great. I really like the ability to find stations when I am in unfamiliar territory. However, there have been a number of glitches that have caused it not to work at certain times. To be fair, the customer service folks are pretty responsive, even if they can't fix the problems. I like it and hope the bugs can be worked out.

First of its kind I guess.? Well whatever, it can't be any easier than this to locate gas station, Exxon/Mobil only of course, and pay without your wallet taken out.. Cool all the way..

I really wanted to give this app 5 stars BUT there was one time I didn't get my activated Plenti points and a couple of times I could not use my points for payment. I received a slow response and no points upon my request to receive my missing points. Still I love this app!

Where are my points Exxon? I signed for the promotion....synces my plenti card...filled up thrice with 10 gallons and more.....its been 2 weeks and still no Plenti points. Update 11/07/17 Exxon reached out to me regarding the points and the bug that prevented it. Got my 2000 points. Impressed!

Has suddenly stopped working. Takes a long time to load and the errors out trying to log in. This used to be fast, but this app should no longer have "speed" in the name. Also, the scrolling pump numbers are the worst. Please give us the option to have a grid instead and make this app speedy again.

This app allows me to pay for gas without swiping my card. Lately there have been skimmers found on gas pumps in the area and hopefully this will prevent my information from being compromised.

The app worked flawlessly for a month and a half, very convenient. The last three months I keep getting the same error code that it can't verify payment yet when I walk inside the station and buy coffee using the Samsung pay app and punch in my plenti card number it accepts it every time. Tech support is useless, I sent screenshots of the error code and also every step of the interaction with the pump and all they can say is I need the latest update, which I have. I get the same error code no matter which pump I use or which station I visit. Great app when it works but they need to find some better tech support to make it worthwhile.

The ONLY way to fill up! I now only go to stations that use this technology. It's so convenient that I don't bother with credit cards, key fobs, or other ways to pay. Outstanding app!

This app only works 50% of the time for me. I am frequently forced to waste time trying to pay with it and then have to dig a credit card out my purse instead. I do like that you can link your plenti card to it. If they could get it to work all the time it would be a great app.

There are hardly any stations capable of accepting payment through speedpass. App directs you to stations supposedly enabled but you attempt to pay and they all day coming soon. I've tried 10 and only 1 worked. Last attempt.

Worst app ever. Very, very NOT USER FRIENDLY and very, very difficult to get password reset. I will stick with using my card, at least I know that will work correctly. ????

App only works when it wants for me. Have had to call my bank twice to get them to release funds held when this app glitches. Works great when it works but most times I can't get it to work. If this is fixed I will update my review

The app use to work then some developers decided to update it with fingerprint and completely ruined it. in its current state it's garbage doesn't connect to the server ,I asks you to create a new account just a waste of time

"Payment card registration failed", said the app after trying different credit cards and wasting my time. "Off you go from my phone!!!" Said I! Don't waste your time with this app; it's junk.

Speed pass is working better and at more pumps than it used to. My favorite station has got it working reliably now. This is intended to be a major way of making purchases in the future. After a rough start, I like it.

Definitely easier than carrying around cash all day, just scan the pump and you don't have to wait all day for the attendant to authorize your pump. Fill up and you're gone! Love it!

App worked for about a month and now it dont want to either work on opening app or while trying to authorize pump it always says process cant be done or error or call customer support every time i call they say its fine and working but it still dont work. I am about to uninstall app and tell friends to uninstall i been late to work and broke down over 6 times trying to get app to work.

The FOB worked much quicker and never failed. This app is slow and for me, works about a third of the time and has only gotten the scan code to work once for me out of dozens of attempts.

At first worked great. Now several issues. Cannot find location or will time out prompting you to use QR code on pump. Then, I tried to get gas two days in a row and the app denied the purchase because exxon restricted using the same card twice in two days. What a joke. Shame, what started as a cool thing ends up being more hassle than it's worth.

It has worked as advertised for me. So 5 stars. But apparently many people are having difficulty with the app. Your mileage may vary ????

App is very unreliable and something between this app and both my Chase and Discover card are constantly getting blocked denying purchases. Now all of a sudden my Discover won't even work saying that my address does not match. Love this app when it works. I was getting some good points from plenti but now they losing a lot of businesses it looks like.

The app only works on wifi on my current phone. On my previous phone a Blackberry Z30 it worked fine but with my android phone at a station it says no connection. I don't understand what the problem could be , I have changed several settings to no avail.

This app has worked exactly 1 time and nothing but errors and nonsense since. The people at Mobil obviously must be seeing these reviews and know that this app is a complete trainwreck. Amazing idea and could be very convenient and great....all u need to do is hire a half way decent coder to debug this thing. I'm sure you can afford it. Jesus christ.
