About Pebble Navigation / Geocaching

This is an application that connect android navigational applications and Pebble watch!

Please do note that it's designed with Geocaching in mind, but it might also work for other uses. If you have suggestions, please email me! (There is a contact email under Additional information)

It then shows you distance and direction to the location on your Pebble watch! You must also install application to your pebble, then you can use c:geo/geocaching app/locus to select the location you want!

This app uses GPS position and calculates direction from it. It does not use Pebble's compass as it is not yet made accessible by the developers!
PLEASE NOTE: This application only supports Pebble SDK v2. Before writing for support, please update to latest pebble firmware and Pebble Geocaching app.

To install:
- beside this application, also install application on Pebble. Since the Pebble store is now public, please download pebble app from there!

To use:
- See videos provided for help with all three apps: http://goo.gl/3IDPZg

To close the app:
- Simply click notification on top that says "Pebble Geocaching"

Just works!

Works great with both c:geo and the official Geocaching apps. I do wish that I could change the units from metric to imperial, but that's not enough to knock off a star.

Ok I'll admit I'm having a nightmare with this app can someone please tell me how to get the app to install to my pebble before it just gets deleted. Once I've done that I'm sure the stars will increase

Nice app. I don't do geocacheing but I use Locus Map a lot for point navigation and it works great. Also works with maverick or any app that can export coordinates in decimal degree format (even text editor). New update brings pebble compass integration so no need to move to know direction. 5 stars as promised

I might be a bit biased but I use this App for geocaching all the time. I find that it helps to save my battery life as I don't have the phone out and screen on all the time.

A must have for people that geocache... and have a pebble :)

Couldn't be simpler. Install this app on your phone, another on the Pebble watch and send directions to a cache by selecting 'radar' in the official geocaching app. Works seamlessly. Thank you so much

Nice app. I don't do geocacheing but I use Locus Map a lot for outdoor navigation and it works ok. Also works with maverick or any app that can export coordinates in decimal degree format (even text editor). Direction is a little bit tricky because it uses gps based bearings i think. The new pebble update opens up the magnetometer of the pebble and would be more useful for this app. I would give this 5 stars if this was implemented.

Sometimes the pebble fails to update the arrow correctly and the distance to the object but I'm sure that's not a fault of the pebble but of my phone I'd imagine that there is no proper GPS updating on the phone after a little while. Thank you for this awesome app and have a nice day

I must be the only one with problems as there is nothing but positive reviews, first of all the GPS takes forever to connect, and when it finally connects it doesn't even give me the proper directions froze at 341 meters and the arrow keeps telling me forward no matter which way I walk. Also this app would benefit from including cache hints and recent logs.... Overall unimpressed. ..

...is called "Geocaching app". It would be helpful if that were specified more clearly so I didn't have to waste so much time searching for it.

This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I have noticed however that when you first set it to navigate, it says 'no GPS'. The phone had good GPS all day, it said this between caches all the time however. I suspect it says that until you move far enough for it to update. Perhaps a better message would be 'awaiting movement' or something similar. Other than that. This is ideal. Really easy to use. Clear and easy to read. Attached the pebble to bike handlebars and spent the morning caching. Thanks.

Love it

Not only can you read the Pebble screen in bright sunlight, it saves your phone's battery as the screen is not running at 100% brightness. Really functional!

It's nice that you can put the phone in the pocket and still know where you have to go. Also, you look much less suspicious than looking at the phone all the time :)
