Weber® iGrill®

I purchased this a few months back at the start of summer 2017. I've used this product and app frequently through the summer for smoking and roasts. It works absolutely excellent. In fact we are using it right this moment for our final Q of the season. My biggest beef is the ads in the app. I've paid good money for this product, why do I need to put up with ads now?

Got the igrill mini for my birthday. It's a worthless paperweight (and not even good at that because it's light) because the stupid app won't Bluetooth sync. I know it's connecting because it shows up in my devices while it's trying to pair, but then always stops. Tried on two different One Plus 5's and a Nexus 7. App is junk.

This app WAS amazing. After several updates it will not connect to my galaxy 5S I've tried all the steps that was emailed to me and have been posted on here. I can only connect with my Ipad. I am beyond frustrated with this app and Webber's inability to fix a problem that was not a problem before updates.

The range is abysmal and the connectivity is intermittent and spotty at best. If you can't trust it to stay connected and provide an alarm when needed, what purpose does it actually serve? Don't trust this thing if you're more than 15 feet away from the receiver. Yes, it's exactly that bad.

Wasted almost an hour trying to get this to connect. Got the temperature once and this never worked again no matter how many times i tried. No matter what i tried it never worked. Had to return and get money back. Don't waste your time or money on this product.

I've modified my review and changed it to 3 stars. Managed to get it working on another device. Range is okay and I like the app. Just disappointed that I had I dig up a 3 year old tablet to get connectivity. The day my Google pixel works I'll upgrade my review

App has been getting progressively worse. Never had these issues when it was under idevices. After update now my igrill2 won't even pair

Do not waste your time. It paired fine, but the range is terrible and lost signal when I was inside with the smoker just outside. The app locked into a temp and the unit had to be reset on the first cook. There are far better options out there. Hopefully I can get a refund.

No clear way to exit the app. Killing through normal open app management doesn't work. Had to force close using app properties page in android settings. This is unacceptable! Liked the old version better before Webber bought and redesigned the app.

Still tricky to pair. Ridiculous have do remove batteries and reset each time. New white background eating more battery power... Please give option to switch back to black background. Can No longer see feature showing amount of battery remaining.

Original app while not perfect was considerably better than this "update" which appears to be a complete rewrite. I'm left with the impression that the new development team has never seen a grill or smoker in the wild.

There are two simple fixes for this horrible app. #1 Fire the team that works on it #2 Make the old application that worked available for download

Here we are, 2 months later, still won't connect, still doesn't work, still an absolute joke of a product. I'm moving in. This is unacceptable. "thank you for your patience"....what a joke!

Very disappointed in this app and the igrill 2. When I first purchased, the app wasn't available for my Pixel. Support offered no assistance, and did not notify me when the app was available for my device. Now that the app is available, it will not sync with the device. Piss poor performance for a device that costs $100.

Yikes, the latest update causes the thermometer to stop reading after a certain temp. Almost made my food overcooked! This app needs more testing.

Maybe we should just file a class action lawsuit. The Bluetooth pairing hasn't worked in months. Do not buy this product!!!!!

Still won't work with Android 8.0 ????? Still waiting for a fix...

I'm expecting Weber to build an app on par with their grills. So far, the updated app finally installed. I'm not excited to see how it works.

I had to manually install it originally, but now it shows as compatible with my S8, has worked with no issues

you couldn't just leave it alone you had to go and screw up a perfectly good APP.

Love it, but please allow the app to go landscape for tablets.

Brand new iGrill2 on a Google Pixel with Android8.0.0 and it will not pair via Bluetooth. Sure wish I had read these posts before dropping $100 on this paperweight. *Update: The App was updated today, however, it did not help. Bluetooth still will not pair. Returned item to store and picked up a different brand. Sorry Weber.

If anyone bought the iGrill on Amazon, they will let your return with a 20% restocking fee if you bought over 30 days ago. I tried talking to Weber customer service and they are worthless. Does anyone know of a good working Bluetooth thermometer that works?

Update: Still completely useless. How do I get my money back? If I can't I think my igrill will be the next thing I cook on my grill. This new update is absolutely useless. Looks like I will be getting something else. The design team should be fired for fing this up so bad

Has now been months with no Android Oreo support, highly recommended people don't buy this thermometer as it takes too long to fix issues

Won't pair with my Pixel, or iPad. Have tried resetting it, uninstalling the app, new batteries. Pretty useless Bluetooth thermometer. Used to love this device. Now, not so much.

Unusable with Galaxy S8. Consistently gets stuck at one temperature (this app tells me the meat is 48° for twenty minutes, but when I connect my old Galaxy core prime using the same Weber grill app, the temperature reads 85°). Like I said, unusable with Galaxy S8.

No details on what been updated in at least a month, but updates several times a week. Learn to manage your customer base

New version lacks previous functionality. Does not yet work with Android O. *Update. I've reinstalled the app, removed Bluetooth connection, restarted phone . I have replaced batteries and reset the unit. Device cannot detect or locate using Google Pixel Android O.

Ok and does the job. Would be great to add a time estimate until reaching the desired temp based on graph slope.

Your app dev lead and probably team needs to get the sack. How can you completely stuff up Bluetooth pairing across so many devices in a release. No resetting and rebooting and uninstalling doesn't work.Slow updates, broken and less functionality, and unable to use the marketed product features. Do not recommend igrill products with such horrific app support.

Garbage. This worked just fine before. Leave it up to a group of "smart people" to screw it up. There was nothing wrong with ap before and now won't pair with my phone. Now I have 2 shiny paper weights. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. People have been waiting for a fix and all the help Weber can provide is reset device.

Garbage. If you're in an open field this might work. If you are going through walls or anything forget it. It's a great idea but they need to get it on a WiFi platform and ditch the Bluetooth.

10/1/2017 update: It now appears my problem of not connecting was due to low battery. Today the iGrill Mini would not illuminate when pressing the button, and I found the battery was down to 1.7 volts, so I believe that prior to today there was enough voltage to turn on and let the phone find it, but not enough for BT connection. I am now connected, and all is well. ---------- 9/27/2017 update: I just installed v 4.3.0 dated September 27, 2017, and it still won't pair with my iGrill Mini. I tried all of the previously posted suggestions to no avail (e.g. resetting iGrill, removing iGrill from phone's BT setting, remove/reinstall app). My phone sees the iGrill and fails to pair. Therefore, I believe it's reasonable to conclude the app remains broken.

Stopped pairing with my device in the middle of second use. I've reset, unpaired, repaired, rebooted phone, reinstalled application. I wish I could take the thing back. I will not forget this experience when considering any future weber product.

Updated app to the point of it sucks. No longer notifies my phone, now i have to watch temp instead of being able to do other things knowing ill get notified, bad move weber. Deleted and reinstalled still sucks.

I just bought the Igrill2 today and probably should have read the reviews first. Can someone tell me if it works with the Google Pixel? If not, is there a fix coming soon?

Used to work OK. But it's not compatible with the new Note 8 so now I can't use the app.
