XY Find It

This app doesn't work. When I tried looking at their how to, it simply said "make sure the app is installed correctly". Not helpful. It was a gift or I would return it. I've used Tile and it's way better.

This product has gone through changes since it's inception. It's now in the 3rd generation which is an improvement over the first two. It now has the ability to find your phone via a tap on a beacon which plays a ringtone on the phone but U need to be within 30 Ft . Additional improvement is the volume & tone of the beacon itself. First generation, I could not hear , 2nd generation basically the same. 3rd generation I can hear it but it has to really close and it must be in a totally silent environment. Update: Tinkering with the app has taken away a necessary feature that is the ability to select a distinctive sound 4 lost & found , now it's useless

GPS not accurate. I can't hear it "beep" but it did let me know via phone alert thaty dog was "lost". He wasn't really lost I was just testing the app.

Earlier version of this app was buggy and my devices needed resync every couple days.. The app update seem to have fixed the issue.. It would be nice to have some LED indicator lights or buzzing along with the sound to choose what type of indicator to use when finding the device

The device, the app, and the Android phone simply DOES NOT WORK. I've complained and I've worked with their so called customer support department, to no avail. I have gotten to the point that the 25.00 just isn't worth the trouble it would be, if even possible, to get a refund.

Big waste of money. Confusing doesn't work. Should be taken off site

We bought two of these and we press the button to sync it to Bluetooth and the light never comes on. I wish I had receipt so I could return.

Tags don't ring, still kills battery life and overall horrific app. Don't ever buy anything from this company.

Doesn't work at at all basically just an ugly keychain. That wasn't cheap. The concept is a great idea if it actually worked. I am all about convenience and I'm always misplacing my keys and purse so this would have been a life saver had it worked, but it just turned out to be a waste of money and a joke. Highly disappointed wish I could have a refund

I bought two of these; one for my phone and one for my fanny back. The instructions were vague on how to use this and I'm not sure how to use it. The site didn't talk about that they send plenty of adhesive backings and I bought one. That was an $.89 I didn't need to spend. It was sent back!

Used this for 2 years, It used be a good tool for me to track all my stuff. Now all my belonging is everywhere. Most of them in one location that supposed but is 2 locations and status is now. I have one suppose in oversea location. Now is disappeared. If I can remember all my belongings' location. Why I need this. Please fix it.

The find it beep works once every 15 tries. Also, the app feels like that there is not only there to work with the dongle piece, but also there to sell you more of them. That gives the app a cheap and cheesy look.

Junk. I signed up with the app as it requires me to. I clicked on "Claim" my XY3 and attempted to pair after clicking the button on the device. It beeped and after trying to name and pair it...it says it "failed to unlock". I tried reinstalling and several more times to no avail. The device won't even beep anymore when I try to pair it. Broken junk.

I've tried new batteries, deleting then reloading the app, turning Bluetooths off and on, etc. Their service is great and they ARE trying to work through the issues, but their product isn't reliable yet. My car has been in the front yard for 2 days and the map STILL shows it 3 miles away. Not worth the hassle. Went back to Tile which never fails. Good luck XY Find It. I hope you succeed.

Update 04.09.17 - The latest version of XY is absolute junk. I do not want to see XY ads in my beacon list! I was to see only my beacons in there. Also the app now slows my phone to a crawl and the pull down menu becomes unresponsive...This is the only app that keeps getting worse with each release...Uninstalling and never buying or recomending this product again.

It's okay, but if my keys are in my purse it can't find it. It always seems to be out of range, an I bought 4 of them. Great idea, but not strong enough, even with brand new batteries. Pretty much just an ugly keychain.

It won't let me sign up it keeps saying sign in failed 409.. what the bleep is going on?

Update 5/5/17 Let's start with the positive: If my daughter had paid for great Customer Service, this would get a 5☆ rating. However, this was a product purchase, & it still is the most frustrating thing I've ever used. I have exchanged twice, received new batteries & still issues exist. 1st it won't ring beacon on keys, so I changed a setting. Now it won't ring phone. Tried removing to add again. Now I can't add phone! SMH PLEASE DON'T TELL ME TO REACH OUT TO YOUR AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME! 1/17 aprx So excited to get this as a Christmas gift. I've already had it replaced once, now my new one worked fine for a few weeks, but now it has stopped again. I'm going to try uninstalling the app, & reinstall. This should not be necessary. It also won't let another device connect to Bluetooth, without disconnecting XY unit. Not what I expected, at all.

As it relates to the app, I really wish the option to remove the icon from the top bar was working...sadly, no.

The beacon was at full charge and in the house in the same room. App said it was out of range. Not good

App has bugs won't track my phone. It says that it adds it to the list of traceable, but it does not.

This is impossible to use.

Latest version: Magnifique! Now that the app auto-loads, and supports Tablets (at least it supports my Galaxy S2), I can find little to complain about, though I could wish that XY could turn the phone ringer on, or okay a tone when the device's ringer is off. Even my tablet can produce tones. BTW, XY customer service is superb. They go out of their way to keep customers happy (and loyal)

It worked for about a week, then completely stopped. My boyfriend purchased 6 of these for gifts. I feel bad for the other 5 people too. ***EDIT review changed after amazing customer support. And now the app works better than ever. Thank you!

This review will encompass both hardware and software as each is useless without the other. Hardware: I really wanted to like the XY as it offered a viable alternative to the other products in this category.. Having a changeable battery is nice but prying the case open every 3-6 weeks instead of the 3-6 months claimed by the company will shred the relatively soft plastic it is made of and render it useless in less than a year. Software: The app does what it is supposed to and has a simple user interface with some confusing controls on the main screen. Unfortunately, it is a battery hog and kills my device battery if I leave it running all day. To prevent this I turn off the app whit kinda defeats the purpose. Right? The most recent update corrupted my settings and the app no longer sees my registered XYs even though I've verified they are transmitting. It has also duplicated my registered XYs within the app and won't allow me to deregister or delete them which I suspect is the source of the problem Skip this product. It's not ready. I'll be contributing my XYs to a local landfill and move on

Does not work. I've added the beacon multiple times, but every time I open the app it just shows my phone. It doesn't show any beacons have been added.

I got my find it in the mail. I was so excited cause I am always loosing my phone in my house. So omg it is near. It worked wonderfully for the first couple days. Now like the others say it only states where it was last time connected. Going to look for something that works. Idea great. So guess I will be eating money. Anyone else ask me if will tell them NO GOOD

App crashes, and the phone becomes unpaired with my xy, making it utterly useless. It simply doesn't work. The concept is a great idea, but apparently no one can make anything that actually does what it promises anymore. It's a shame cause I was going to buy a bunch of these.

What a worthless piece of junk. Have it right next to my phone and it says "out of range". Thankfully I got it as a gift but if you're thinking of buying one, trust me, don't waste your money. Would give it zero stars if I could.

This app sucks! I have Samsung Galaxy 7 and the app stops working and closes all the time. I lose my phone often but app needs to be operational in order to find my phone, which makes it completely useless. Find it beacons work well, except that you need to be within a range for it to work. I'm ready to return my beacons and uninstall the app. Too much trouble.

Waist of money, simply dose not work! Can't find my keys or cat even if they are 1 foot from my phone. Sorry I blew money on this! Uninstalled now and in the bin. Regret throwing my money away on this rubbish! Oh well lesson learnt.

I couldn't me more unhappy with this app and the peoduct. I wish my husband would have only bought 1 to test out instead of 1 for everything we have. No none of them work and the app is crap.

Yes, the app sort of works. Far, close, near, it's like hot and cold. You can't hear the beeps unless you're superman. And it stops the beeping! Keep beeping until I say to stop. Regret this purchase.

Waste of money. If phone/key is in your pants pocket even right next to the fob it's like "lol, I dunno." Can find phone or keys only when phone and keys are sitting on top of each other. Even a thin piece of fabric confuses it. Terrible do not buy.

The tag opens accidentally loosing the batery. Tag is hard to hear in real situations, in a pocket, and it's button is activated by just being on a key chain. App drains cellphone fast. More R&D needed.

It has worked so far to help find our misplaced sets of keys - we have two fobs and they both beeped when needed. We did have our daughter set up the app, who gave it to us for Christmas.

I bought it and placed 3 on my keys, purse, and bookbag. I set them up and they worked no problem; then I lost my keys a month later and nothing. Everything is out of range even if my purse is right next to me. These are glorified key chains and nothing else.
