Weave - Local Networking for Android
Pops up a suspicious-looking iframe asking you to input your LinkedIn credentials, but you can't see the URL to validate that you're not being phished. I will not / cannot use this app until the developers do proper browser-based (popup) OAuth so I can validate the security of the login.
Can't login using linked in I know my password is correct! V frustrating!
Total junk!!! Can't log in.... says client is disabled. Can't enter user name, pwd for LinkedIn. Been trying for a week.
Great app I've met tons of really interesting people through and used to get feedback on my startup idea
So buggy it's impossible to even evaluate.
Can't connect with linked in, keeps looping to "get started".
App is improving too...
The idea is great bet app crashing or view stuck and not refreshing does not help retention. It has great potential, but needs to be maintained technically. Also mini details are not well thought through and sometimes requires more taps that expected ;)
Maybe it is the new version of android, but doesn't sync. Are they still updating the app ?
Just won't connect and does consume battery quickly on ios
This team is doing great work.
Cannot connect to weave server when trying to create account.
If your server doesn't respond please donnt let us download the application. Bad user experience
Tried for hours. Can't even begin to use due to "Weave server not available" even on a decent net connection.
Best of its class, but too buggy
Used 4% of my battery drain without even logging in. Just having it downloaded. Needs work!
Won't synch with linkedin. Sends the same people over and over again no matter where you are. Not geo-locating properly.
Doesn't show my picture and the overall ui looks stale and 'not done'. Also won't let me edit what to show from profile from the app.
I think this is a real gap in the market at the moment. The UI is nicely done to be honest. Need for GPS is annoying as it can only drain battery and there must be another way to use location. Main niggle is the serious lack of people using the app in London. Even on the 'city' filter (75 mile radius) I cycled through the same 7 or 8 people and that was it.
I wanted to buy hair but instead I got a new job. Thanks Weave!
Always running in the background killing the battery. Great idea but needs improvement to reduce battery usage.
App is improving too...
Great idea. Terrible execution.
Work
Please please use coarse location from cell towers or ip address, or remember the previous location at least, because the app freezes until it locks on GPS.
Asks me to enter credentials for LinkedIn into its own interface. There is no way no know how these are handled without looking at the source code. Avoid.
App is improving too...
Somewhat buggy and missing features like the ability to delete conversations. Still a great app
I do not trust apps who fail to use the built-in ability of services like LinkedIn to connect. Instead, this app asks for credentials, something I personally do not trust releasing. Unistall
Just don't like the UI
I have an HTC One M8. Will not even install. I have tried several times.
Uninstalled. What's the point? It basically searches LinkedIn users and recommends them to you. Doesn't really add any value to my professional network.
Every time I click on "meet" it kills the application
Some people seem to be hesitant. But the app does everything it advertises, and simplifies looking for people to network with them.
I am not sure they have defined the problem they are solving. The app does not work. I will be deleting.
Once you go through the profiles, cannot review then again as the review nearby again does not work!
Typical failed startup. Tinder meets LinkedIn. What a horrible way to meet people. Do not bother installing.
Swiping works inconsistently, redundant suggestions, messages sometimes get lost
Profile photo not loading, there is no way to add one manually from settings.. Should be priority to fix it considering the purpose of the app

Instead of using another app, just msg someone on Linkedin or go to your alumni assc meetings. App does not provide matches based on location (across town) and takes way too much time to plan (cannot hold open slots on my schedule for 3-4 days), should be automated in real time.
