Coverage Notes: If you live in a very-high-altitude town in Colorado (e.g. Fraser, Vail, Aspen), most likely this app will not meet your needs since radar beams get blocked by the tall mountains. Alaska coverage includes only the southern coastal areas, and does not include the Aleutian Chain. Cloud coverage does not include Alaska and Guam. Also, push-notifications for rain will not work reliably in Hawaii, Guam and Alaska. Aviation Sectional Charts are not available for Hawaii.
Notes:
- This app is only useful for users in the US, including all 50 states and territories including Puerto Rico and Guam.
Not always sure it's exactly up to date, though. I'm not positive the time stamp and radar image are synced correctly. Sometimes it seems to be off by a half hour or more!
The radar cast doesn't work anymore. It just shows a bunch of jibberish. Please update! Missing rain notifications and custom location icons.
Why doesn't the Android version have the drought map? There are several features which are IOS exclusive which is frustrating.
Good big picture radar app, but for something with a live doppler feed it only shows reflectivity.
Four stars due to the horrible new radar cast design.
I love this app. Clean, clear, informative..... but the radarcast on my screen only gives me gibberish. The radar cast USED to work on my galaxy. I had this back when I had iPhone and it worked great. Notifications were fantastic. No updates since 2013? I love the detail, but fix the bugs please. UPDATE: still no update, still not fixed. The radar is one of the best. Colorful, accurate, informative. The weather, futurecast and notifications SUCK. Please fix the bugs
This has been my go-to weather app on my iPad for a long time and I am really happy it is now on Android. My only complaint is that the apps are not syncing my favorited locations between my iPad and GS4.
Radarcast function is broken and no support for weather alerts like iOS version. Have requested this feature for 6 months with no response from dev
This is my go to app first thing every morning. I use this app to look at the radar before I go out on my bike to ensure I won't get stuck in a rain storm!
Loved this app on the iphone so it was one of the first things I downloaded upon getting an S4. The app is great, the only drawback is that it lacks the rain in your area notification that the iphone app has. Would love to see that feature in a future update.
You know that screenshot above that shows you when it's going to start/stop raining? Yeah, that feature doesn't work anymore. And I don't even live on a mountain range. So before you buy, check out the last time the developers sent out an update - 2013.
I play a lot of golf and this is my go to ap whenever weather is iffy. Great to be able to show your partners when it will stop or start raining. Highly recommended.
The RadarCast feature of the program has not been working for several weeks and the developer has been unresponsive thus far. Suggest spending your money elsewhere. I will update my review should the bug be corrected or when I receive a response to my email.
They haven't updated since 2013. The Futurecast part of this paid app is broken. I've sent 3 emails and I've gotten no response and the app still does not work properly. This leaves me no choice but to contact Google and complain to them. Maybe when people stop buying the app they'll fix it.
Missed the deadline for the refund, while I was checking it out. Crashed on me right away, then it doesn't hold the default times for frames that you put in. Expected a lot more for $2.99 so don't waste your money, there's better apps out there that do as advertised. Avoid this one!
I love how fast it loads up and the prediction around specific location. Accurate and smooth.
One star until radar cast is fixed. I have sent multiple emails to support and have not had any response.
Of an on-coming tornado? This is one of the few 'paid' apps I have for both my Samsung and Apple mobile devices. I like the versitility of the app for things like mapping a trip with weather in mind, or being able to go right down to my street to see if I should be worried about that ominous looking cloud system. One of the few things I wish they would improve, is the lag time between reporting and real time. A 5 minute delay could spell trouble if there's a tornado and how far away from your location!
l have used many weather map apps and this is one of the Best . Easy on battery, smooth stable working and good HD display. Very good zoom and location marking. Quick real time loading and read out.
Does well in visualizing real-time conditions, wish for more control of options at a weaker signal strengths...I don't always have ideal receiving conditions.
I like it BUT!!!! It has erased my bookmarks several times the last time during a tornado warning!!! The map was centered in Africa
I had this app for my iPhone, I thought it was The Best, then I bought the Galaxy S5, installed it, and the magic went away. Now it's just another radar app. When I had it on my iPhone it alerted me with a thunderclap when it would start to rain, and its predictions were always spot-on. It was interactive, hearing the alert before a rainstorm would make me want to open the app, check things out. Now that I've paid for the app on my Galaxy s5, it just sits there, doesn't alert me prior to storms.Disappointed
So right after I purchase this... I navigate to settings and it says to download NOAA high def radar "app". Now I have two: Radarcast and NOAA High-Def radar. One paid the other free? Whats the difference? They both look same...
Love this app and peviously owned it for the Apple platform. Recently purchased an android phone and there is one thing that I noticed apples version has that androids app is missing. (Or maybe I'm missing) Id love to see the stateline option in the android version. When I switch to satellite view I'd like to see the stateline outlines. Other than that this app is pretty accurate.
I wish it would give more snow info but it's OK.
Shows me live radar which I use all the time. I ride a motorcycle nearly every day so being able to see where the rain is is very helpful.
Very handy for active peolr who need to get the most accurate and up-to-date weather conditions. Works without falt on my Galaxy S4.
Very useful for sending out work teams or not as the case may be.
The app is great . except it doesn't do what it used to on my I phone . I have a android now and it doesn't give me the alerts of severe storms ect. Other then that I love it
Loads fast and is nice and basic. I love the futurecast feature, but it would be nice to have a color change or something when you go from past to future so you can tell at a glance. Otherwise I love having this for quick info!
I would give a better rating, but I hate the constant nagging to rate this app. This is a paid app, quit hassling me to rate it!
Like it a lot but the 'paid' radar is practically the same as the free app by Weather Underground which has many more features.
UNINSTALLED. After paying for the use of this app and launching it, I see it get immediately red-flagged by my security apps as high risk. And while I do see the need to know my location, exactly why would you also choose to access and share my phone's private identification info, hmm? Inexcusable. (UPDATED: Unresponsive developer too. Pfffttt to WeatherSphere.)
This app has everything I need and more. Although the UI could use a little updating, I won't take a star.
There's nothing out there better. That is if you want exact radar imaging. Only thing better would be shorter updates as every two minutes.
I enjoy this app very much but I wish it would show the frontal boundries.
Just a great radar app. Love the warning boxes. Great for when I'm on call.
Very accurate. Love it this time of year with all the storms popping up. Have it on my Android and ipad.
Just got a Note 4, will not work

Great weather app, annoying to be asked every time you use it to review it. I paid good money for the app it should leave me alone if I don't have time to review.
