News 9 Weather is a FREE application with free weather information such as radar, watch and warning information and forecasts. It also offers the ability to purchase push notifications for 130 weather alert types powered by iMap Weather Radio.
The app includes the ability to add five locations for tracking hourly, daily & extended weather information, forecasts, and watches and warnings all FREE. Users get a 6th "current" location that updates whenever the app is open.
News 9 Weather's push alerts are powered by WDT's highly scalable, fully redundant, alerting and messaging engine. Users may experience all of the same premium alerting features found in iMap Weather Radio. Those features include push notifications for more than 130 National Weather Service alert types, voice announcements of alerts, spoken alert details, spoken forecasts, alerts based on your current location tracked in the background. They are backed by an industry-leading alerting infrastructure and 24/7 support.

I want my money back! Ridiculous! Worked fine until you updated and now it's full of ads. I think scams like this(yes! Scam! ) where you take our money , and then switch it to an ad laden, energy sucking app...you all should be ashamed! I paid for this app on 3 phones..that's 30 dollars...now I have to put up with an app that slows my phone down...I have deleted it on all the phones I purchased it on. When you grow a conscience, and make the app back the way it was for the ones who paid or refund our money!

Why does the app and news 9 website weather differ so much you look at 7 day forecast and temps are way different on this app than what the news 9 webpage shows.

This is a very bad time of the year for the video part of the app to not be working. I am constantly traveling for work and this is the best way I can be warned about severe weather. Please fix and I will change rating.

This app worked great for me until I got my new Galaxy S7 edge phone, now it won't even load. I even tried uninstalling it & then reinstalling it & it still wouldn't ever load. I just get the little circle that keeps spinning around. I love the app, if I could just get it to work with my new phone.

The radar doesn't work on this app after the latest update and the weather alerts don't work anymore either. Use the 4WarnMe app from Channel 4 instead.

It has not worked once since the update, and even soon before I updated it, tires of it uninstalling it. Very disappointed because I watch new 9 every day and I loved the app before the update

So very glad the app has been fixed rather promptly! A Big Thank You to those involved in getting it done and getting all the other bugs and features taken care of as well. I always loved this app. I use all the features during severe weather. I just hope the next time an update is issued everything will be checked to ensure it works as well as the other updates have in the past. Especially during severe weather season. It's too scary not having everything working when there is a storm nearby.

I like it. Very useful when I need to keep informed for work. However, I visited home and the app changed my location to there and it won't change back. Now I'm not getting the correct alerts that I need. Should definitely add an option to change location. Also, of possible, push notifications that would inform the user of weather alerts in their area would be great, that way I wouldn't be required to open the app to see alerts.
