There is a lot of scope for this app but your company is doing nothing about it. Can't delete multiple photos together, loads really slow even on WiFi direct.

Doesn't work. Old version worked just fine. Get unable to access device error on initial setup screen. 40% 86% .#%@%&% unable to access device. Junk still but wd doesn't seem to care much... make it work again please. It's enough for me to go out and buy another cloud drive that works properly.

All data are placed in the Public share. No privacy because all users are able to see each other users data. There's a nice little Linux on the MyBookLive but this slow App's developer seam to know nothing about multiuser platforms. Good luck for the next try!

Get an invalid request error for any photo I try to view. It used to work but not is a complete disaster. Please fix!

Violates permissions - used up 0.5 GB of my mobile data plan in one day even though I set it to back up on wifi only!! Make sure you disable this under "restrict background data" under "data usage" in your Android settings.

As others mention, if you auto upload photos to mybooklive it asks which folder to upload to and then ignores you and uploads to public regardless. It then creates a folder there for the first Google user account it finds on the phone not necessarily the one you are using so the filing system is useless! Use another sync option until they fix it - but it's been like this for a couple of years at least.

Old version worked fine on my other phone, now I can't even login after installing app on my new phone. Such garbage. **Update: was finally able to login...had to get an activation key from dashboard on my desktop browser and then enter the key after selecting 'manual setup' in this app. The entire setup in their ecosystem between the apps and desktop apps is SO clunky, not the least bit intuitive. My advice would be to focus first on implementing a seamless experience...then focus on UI and features.

Unable to access photos with android device. It says 'cannot access file' or it'll time out opening the file. Works fine with IOS. Guys fix the issue ASAP. Update 15/06/2015 - it works fine now after it syncs the photos with my cloud.

There is a lot that I love about this app and a lot that I don't but it appears that updates come very slow. I do have to say it's really annoying that I have to shut the app down all together each time I share a picture if I want to share another. Hope the bugs get fixed. Also wish WD was able to be set up with a backup ability thru Crashplan in a much less invasive way. I can't get this drive backed up which is a deal breaker for purchasing another one of these drives in the future. Sucks cause I love it

The App works but getting all your pics to display is an absolute chore! The app itself is slick and intuitive and I can quickly navigate the 20K photos contained on my MyBookLive. It's fairly quick to browse photos and the tablet version is slightly different and looks even better. The initial problem with the creation and display of a low resolution photo for each original photo seems to be resolved, although the lack of ability to synchronise files between source and destination is a major drawback, as you need to manually move photos into the Share Photo folder. The Chromecast function is useless because nothing is displayed the majority of the time (just black screen). If you have set to 5 seconds you'll see about 1 sec of pic an 4 seconds of black. Better result is to use the native 'Cast screen' function within your mobile's Chromecast app.

1. Photos are saved in the Public Folder and there is no way to change it to a Private Folder. 2. Photos are backed up immediately over wifi and there are no time delay settings to give us the opportunity to delete the photos we don't want to keep and backup. 3. Preview of backed up photos takes too long over the Internet. 4. I don't see all the folders and photos.

Terrible application. It has well known issues with the transcoder, which means it can take weeks to fully mirror the cloud storage itself. Despite endless forums talking about this, no fix seems to be made available If you ever want to move files around or remove them, the app rarely reflects reality of what has happened on the drive Almost unusable.

I like the promise of the app but it gets really frustrating when I have to disconnect and reconnect the drive EVERY time pictures get uploaded because the folders never update automatically in the app. [1/19/16 -- Still having issues. Let the app go after uploading multiple pictures over several days and the app still does not refresh itself to see the newest pictures. FIX IT PLEASE!!!]

When connecting to my local drive, I get the message file upload failed(400). Connecting online never showed my pictures even if they're at the public pictures folder. Very surprising from such a brand I trusted. What is this ?!!!

This works for the most part.. Viewing your cloud is fine, but no option to refeesh means i can't see a newly created file until the app refreshes itself or by quitting out and starting again. The Other issue is, since I installed marshmallow it will only upload pics to the public folder of myCloud despite selecting a private folder in the settings please fix these and I'll give it another star or 2

This app could be great. I like the idea of having my photos automatically upload. But sadly it is just inconsistent. I need this app to reliably connect every time I connect to my home WiFi. Also it seems to not copy all photos. Example, took 15 pics and only 13 showed uploaded. The last thing I would like to have the option to have the app delete pics from my device that it uploads.

There is no refresh option. Often photos I have uploaded manually do not appear in the WD photo library, days or weeks after uploading. You have to wait until a rebuild of the database is done at home via the twonky media maintenance screen!!! Oh and it's still uploading multiple versions of the same photo, sometimes up to 6 duplicates of the same photo. WTF!! Sort it out WD this is pretty shoddy. EDIT:- Good God, can this app get any worse. Now it won't rescan the picture folders correctly. The folders you can see on the app are COMPLETELY different from the folders you can see through a browser on a PC. WD - get your act together you bloody amateurs!

Auto upload still going to public folders no matter what options I've selected. Sort it out WD your customers have asked for this simple option for years.

Needs a password lock like the Wd My cloud app. Also does not refresh updated photos. I can view new photos on my hard drive. Needs work but can be as good as dropbox.

Still saves to public directory even when specific folder is selected. Used to love WD Products but you really suck now, how long is it going to take to fix this issue

I don't know it is a phone dependent issue or not. But all portrait photos cannot be uploaded automatically.

Lets see, you can choose where to upload your pics, however, it doesn't mean that the app will do that. It will upload to the Public drive for anyone to see your private pics. Uninstalling after this comment.

Thanks for last update (choose the location where to upload). Would be perfect if user can choose which folder to show in wd photos instead of showing everything you have.. there are some private photos user does not want to show

After updating my Galaxy S4 to Lollypop it will no longer update my recently added pics. Previous pics are still there but no new ones!

Recently updated Android to lollipop and app will not work. Was working fine with KitKat. Uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. No good. Nexus 7 1st generation. UPDATE: 2/19/16 Received a new 3Tb device. I can access the device with the My cloud app however the WD photos app doesn't work on any of my android devices. The app shows the individual files but when I try to open the pictures I get a "invalid request" error.

I enjoy using this app. I take my photos with me everywhere I go and they are readily accessible either by my smartphone or tablet. I would love to see an interface with Chromecast so that I can show my photos on a larger screen at home or at a friend's house who also uses Chromecast.

This app would upload my photos from phone to WD Live Hub. With the latest update, photos don't upload and app complains that the WD Live Hub is not online. The app was never able to view photos on the WD Live Hub from the phone. So now nothing works :-( The WD Photos Classic app can still upload photos but they all go to the same folder.

App keeps saying I'm not connected to the Internet when I blatantly am.. either when I'm on 4G or WiFi. Please fix.

A few months ago I was able to back up my photos and then navigate through all photos on MyCloud under my user account. But after an update I can no longer see any photos from MyCloud device, it simply says "No Photos Found". Please fix it now to earn your 5 stars.

Doesn't sync properly, every time adding pictures or folder the App has trouble to find it

2 years back was great now you upload keep stating error no network yet youtube is playing well. FIX IT ASAP

Every time I add new photos , I need to clear the cache to view latest photos from my wd my cloud . it does not automatically refresh . also. A company valued 23 Billion dollars should have a top class mobile app. Not poor like this .

When connecting to the drive the first time, it always connects to your first Google account on the smart device, the problem is that it might not be the primary account. it was not like that before. No good.

Since last update battery sucked dry way quicker than before. I only have it set to WiFi upload, last full charge last night at 10pm and at 4am ish lollipop went into battery saver mode which is set at 15%.Battery useage is at 58% for WD Photos.I haven't taken any videos or photos since the update. **UPDATE** one (already uploaded) photo would not 'upload',once this deleted problem went away. Seems infinite retrying sucked battery life. Found this by manually uploading all files again and it got stuck.

My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Android 4.4.4 system always has this problem. 0 photos. I cannot see any photos at all. Please fix it.

Can't log in with my password that works perfectly fine everywhere else and I'm connected to my clouds network. Un-/Re-installed as discussed with support hotline. Even after update and selecting a private share it still uploads to the public share. Almost! Try again please.

If I would like to setup private cloud drive, why should I upload/backup my photos only in public folder? It completely doesn't make sense. Please ad feature to put photos in any folder under any account in my WD cloud drive and I will start use it primary. Till that point Dropbox, Picasa ... are more usable solutions. Plus uploaded video, can not be seen either.

Latest update stopped it working on galaxy s4mini. Stuck in a loop with no error messages. Useless
