La Constitución de la Nación Argentina, que rige actualmente a la República Argentina, fue aprobada por una asamblea constituyente hecha en la Ciudad de Santa Fe en el año 1853. Esta Constitución ha sido reformada siete veces, siendo la última llevada a cabo en 1994.
La aprobación de la Constitución de 1853 puso fin a las guerras civiles y sentó las bases de la Organización Nacional. Antes de esta aprobación hubo varios intentos que fueron rechazados por diversos motivos.
El texto constitucional consta de un preámbulo y dos partes normativas:
Primera parte: Declaraciones, Derechos y Garantías (arts. 1-43).
Segunda parte: Autoridades de la Nación (arts. 44-129).
Asimismo tienen rango constitucional en virtud del art. 75 inciso 22, los siguientes instrumentos internacionales sobre Derechos Humanos -tratados y declaraciones-:
Declaración Americana de los Derechos y Deberes del Hombre.
Declaración Universal de Derechos Humanos.
Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos "Pacto San José de Costa Rica".
Pacto Internacional de Derechos Económicos, Sociales y Culturales.
Pacto Internacional de Derechos Civiles y Políticos y su Protocolo Facultativo.
Convención Sobre la Prevención y la Sanción del Delito de Genocidio.
Convención Internacional sobre la Eliminación de Todas las Formas de Discriminación Racial.
Convención Sobre la Eliminación de Todas las Formas de Discriminación Contra la Mujer.
Convención Contra la Tortura y Otros Tratos o Penas Crueles, Inhumanos o Degradantes.
Convención Sobre los Derechos del Niño.
Convención Interamericana sobre Desaparición Forzada de Personas (jerarquizada en 1997).

The Constitution of Argentina, currently governing Argentina, was approved by a constituent assembly made in the City of Santa Fe in 1853. The Constitution has been amended seven times, the last being held in 1994.
The adoption of the Constitution of 1853 ended the civil war and laid the foundations of the National Organization. Prior to this approval, several attempts that were rejected for various reasons.
The Constitution consists of a preamble and regulations two parts:
Part One: Declarations, Rights and Guarantees (arts. 1-43).
Part Two: Authorities of the Nation (arts. 44-129).
